The Hornets finally won a title 🤷‍♂️

The Charlotte Hornets just won their first title or trophy in their existence. No, seriously. This NBA Summer League title was their first. Even when you retain their entire franchise history going back to 1988, they have zero NBA championships, conference titles, or even division titles. The highest they’ve ever finished in their division is second, which they’ve done four times. And the furthest they’ve even advanced in the playoffs is just the second round, which they’ve done four times, and overall have just 23 playoff wins. For reference, Shay Gilis Alexander, he’s already got 27 playoff wins himself. Again, the Hornets have just 23. But now, after MVP rookie Kong Canipple just led him to their first NBA summer league championship ever, they finally have something to add to their trophy case. So, with this being quite literally the biggest win in franchise history, should the Hornets hang a Summer League Championship banner?

The Charlotte Hornets Summer League championship is their first trophy of any kind in franchise history

  1. God those 90’s unis are so sick. We need a rebrand to bring back the old logo and jerseys asap

  2. Congrats. Maybe this is the start of big things. I don’t think there’s a single person out there that wouldn’t be happy to see them play good

  3. Hey y'all make fun of this, but no need to hate on progression. A baby ain't gonna learn to walk without taking the first step. When's the PARADE? 😂😂

  4. This is no title Jesus Christ. Good for the hornets with their young talent but let’s not talk about this like it’s anything but absolutely nothing.

  5. Hell no don’t hang a banner because that means it’s the standard and your not gonna win shii if that is the case

  6. I know it’s summer league but I swear there’s like 15-20 people in the stands

  7. Love it but their entire franchise history goes back to 2004 when they were introduced to the NBA as the Bobcats. The 1988-2002 Charlotte Hornets are the Pelicans (they moved to New Orleans in 2002, changed Hornets to Pelicans in 2013). The Bobcats didn‘t become the Hornets until 2014. Same name, different franchises.
