Knicks Summer League Stars Show Big Upside Despite Loss!

Knicks fans, Marjan Boamp went off in the Knicks fourth summer league game against the Pacers today. He dropped 28 points, shot 10 for 16 from the field and knocked down six threes. Massive bounceback performance even though the Knicks still lost 91 to 88. And Ding P had his best summer league performance so far. He put up 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal, and was plus 7 in just 17 minutes. Again, only 19 years old, this kid has real upside. Now, Diwara, McCuller, Dier, and Huck 40 did not play today, so they’re likely shut down. So, as of right now, this is what I think happens. McCuller gets the rookie contract. Diwara and Bo Champ get two-way deals. And I think Dink Pate earned that third two-way spot tonight. And some fans want James Naji in there for a center presence, but so far, he just hasn’t shown enough to me at least. Maybe the Knicks bring him into training camp, but as of right now, Pate’s in the

MarJon Beauchamp had a huge performance in the Knicks’ fourth Summer League game, scoring 28 points. Dink Pate also had his best game yet, showcasing his upside and potential. This performance could lead to Pate earning one of the last spots.

Diawara, McCullar, Dadiet, and Hukporti were all sidelined, so we’re starting to get a clearer picture of who’s in the lead for the Knicks’ final two-way contracts.

  1. Diawara is not getting no two way deal he is getting the rookie contract. You are speaking on what you want to happen not what the Knicks will do. He is the 51st pick he will be on the rookie contract. And he deserves it

  2. I think Beauchamp should definitely get a spot as far as the rest of them they’re questionable we need real talent, not questionable talent

  3. Nnaji must have been shocked by actually playing in the NBA. Bring him to the GLeague to rediscover his mojo. He is awesome when he's on point.

  4. McCullar is not a rookie so he cannot get a rookie deal. He was drafted last season and played ib the NBA late in the season for the Knicks.

  5. This player have not gotten the opportunity to play in the NBA. He looks like a contributor. Knicks should lock him to a deal. Better than Cam.

  6. This is his fourth summer league! He should dominate! Really his performance shouldn’t be viewed as evidence of outstanding play in the nba! He’s a vet playing against rookies. In fact It’s more worrisome his first two games were so poor! I’m not sold on this player for the Knicks! Looks more like someone who should play in Europe similar to Yabusele, to develop his game. 🤔
