I had to come get y’all a quick video real quick cuz I’m actually um y’all been busy. But um look, so I’m going to discuss this real quick. I ain’t got I ain’t got a lot of time, but Smart has agreed to a buyout with the Washington Wizards. He He’s clearing waiverss, so he’s going to sign a two-year $11 million with the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, he is a former defensive player of the year. He is a piece that the the Los Angeles Lakers actually needs. They need more defense like a 3 and D guy, but Marcus Smart I think it’s safe to say he’s a step behind. He’s not the same Marcus Smart used to be. Um, he can be an inefficient chucker at times, bad turnovers, but I like Marcus Smart. I think Marcus Smart is a player you need on your team. The Los Angeles Lakers need a player like Marcus Smart, but what Marcus Smart they actually getting? Are they getting Marcus Smart that’s that’s um capable of making all defensive team or they getting the Marcus Smart that that was on the Washington Wizards and the Memphis Greyels who pretty much was a step behind. So does this make the Los Angeles Lakers better adding on a a 3 and D or former defensive player of the year Marcus Smart? I don’t I don’t I’m not sure what what Marcus Smart they getting. If they get in the market smart that that’s going to bring elite effort on defense, he can at least make 36% of his three-pointers. I think he going to get a good piece. However, though, based off the last two years, cuz I saw Mark, I watched him close. I watched him close the last couple years. He just didn’t look the same. He wasn’t the same player. Um, I me personally, I I I think the Los Angeles Lakers needed a a bigger wing. However, I don’t like the 63. I don’t like them signing 63 Marcus Smart and putting him at the three with LeBron at the four, DeAndre Aiden at the five. That’s not going to be good enough. If you got Marcus, if the Lakers sign Marcus Smart to put him at the three, I don’t think it’s going to move the needle. I think you need Marcus Smart to play in the back court, more so the u front court. The Lakers to me losing Doran Finn Smith again, you know, there’s going to be debates. You know, my guy Elder, that’s my brother, he says that Z um Lavia Lavia is good. Lavia is good. He he can replace Dorfield Smith. I don’t think so. I I definitely like to mark a smart move. Now, the Los Angeles and the Lakers are not done by a long shot. I’m here to let y’all know the Lakers are not done. The Lakers are still working. They’re trying to they’re trying to make another move. So, this why I don’t really want to I don’t really want to put no expectation on the Lakers yet until I see all their roster moves. But again, I like this move depend on how they use him. If they use Marcus Smart for the back court, if he’s going to be playing a lot more two than three, I like the move. I don’t like him playing at three. Uh, if you’ve been following me, if you I I’ve been consistent. I don’t like smaller wings. That’s what I was talking about with Memphis. We had that discussion um before the draft. I was saying, “Look, I think Memphis need to go get bigger wings.” And that’s what they got in the that’s what they got in the draft. If you going if you going to start somebody at the wing in today’s time, you they definitely need to be 66 67 and eight. I prefer 67 and 68 69 wings with long wings span. Me personally, so but this got nothing to do with the Clippers. See that y’all are Stop being ignorant, bro. I’m telling I’m telling you the the gods on the truth and you’re being emotional. Once again, I never thought in my life that you can’t even have a real conversation. And I’m telling you the God under his truth. Marcus Smart is a good piece for your back court, not the front court. I don’t want Marcus Smart playing the three. But I got to see what the next move. I got to see this other move the Lakers um are working on because they working on a couple different moves. They’re not done yet. So, it’s not over. They They off seasonason not done. They still got a couple moves they going to make. Now, they got Jackson Hayes. They brought him back to back up center. What are they going to do with Ruie? They lob jam in the back court. They got They got Gabe Vincent. You got Marcus Smart. Bronny James. I look Bronny James been playing good basketball. Is Bronny James gonna get some playing time? I don’t know. I mean, he been playing good. Like, y’all got like, let’s keep it real. Brandon James been playing good basketball. Is it safe to say the man been playing good basketball in the um summer league? Is it safe to say? I mean, I’m just being honest cuz look, let’s keep it real, y’all. I mean, everybody saying Brunny Jane was trash when he wasn’t playing good. So, he’s showing improvement, so we can’t hate. I was telling y’all during the regular season, y’all got to give him time. Maybe he can become something legit in two, three years. I think he improving. I think Bronny James may crack the rotation. I’m not even joking. I’m not even trolling. Dude look like he dude playing with more confidence. So, we can’t sit here and hate. We can’t We I hate when people do this. We only talk about the man when he playing like garbage. The man playing good. I understand. LeBron is annoying. LeBron comes off like a um you know, but this ain’t about LeBron. Brunny James playing good, bro. Brennon James playing good. Let’s not hate on Brendon. Dude playing good. The dude getting in the he he in the lab. He working on his game, playing more confidence. Maybe he get some rotation time. Um again, the Lakers not done though. Somebody says something about Jeremy Grant. If the Lakers get Jeremy Grant, put him at the three. You got Aton and you get um Marcus Smart. I like that. I to me I like that. If you get Jeremy Grant, that’s just me personally. If if the Lakers I feel like this, the Lakers someway somehow get Jeremy Grant on a buyout market to go along with Marcus Smart, DeAndre Aiden, I think they had a good offse, but you got to go get a to you, bro. It’s it’s impossible to go out there go out there and um lose DeAndre. It’s it’s it’s you can’t compete in the Western Conference. That’s all I’m going to say. You can’t compete in the Western Conference without a legit three and Dwing that’s at least 67 68. You know, you need you need one of those guys, bro. It just it’s you can’t you can’t start a Ravia or LeBron James at 41 and got have these guys go out there and guard Kawhi Leonard, the Car Wrench of the world. Like, hell no. You got to go get a legit guy that’s going to go out there and scrap do all the little dirt dirty work. You feel what I’m saying? And and u you know there’s rumors about the Memphis Gorillas may trade KCP again. I don’t know how true that is, but we’ll see that Dylan Brooks like somebody like Dylan Brooks. If the Lakers got Dylan Brooks Oh, hell yeah. That’ll be perfect if the Lakers got Dylan Brooks. Cuz Dylan Brooks, he’s a Yeah, Dylan Brooks is that that’s what the Lakers need. They need somebody like Dylan Brooks. Now we talking. You go get somebody like Dylan Brooks. But I do think the Lakers got too many onedimensional guys. That why I said I prefer them. If all the Lakers, I go get Jamie Grant. I go get Jam I try to go get Jam Grant. See if he um see if you get him in a buyout. Now you don’t want to trade for Jam Grant. That’s too much money. But if you can get him in a buyout, you straight. But again, all I’mma say this. I like this move. Marcus Smart. By the way, Marcus Mark, you saying hell no. Look, Jamie Grant. Jamie Grant is on Portland. See, you got to understand, and I ain’t got a lot of time, so look, Jamie Grant on Portland with no expectation. You put him, we saw him on a team that was that we saw him on a playoff team. He played great defense. Now, he haven’t looked the same since then, but I think with the Lakers, things could change. I like Jeremy Grant. That me personally. What up, Dre? But y’all let me know what y’all think though.
