KCP is 32 and makes too much. He will be a UFA after a season. Some Lakers fans are too fixated on old/washed former players. Time to move on!
The Lakers should definitely not lose Vanderbilt now. I would get KCP for Kliber and Vincent in a split second though. That's actually not bad for Memphis to take. KCP would be a great addition to the Lakers and he's a proven playoff competitor.
KCP is just like Austin Reaves a streaky shooter who can never be counted on in the playoffs consistently. So Lakers don’t need KCP who is the same type of player as Reaves. Only upside is KCP gives you defense and Reaves doesn’t.
As a former Mavs fan I root for Maxi. Mavs fans use to trash him bc he would play 20mins and his stats would be like 3/2/2. But if you actually watched the games he was often the pass before the assists , the one that boxed out the big so Luka could get the Reb, challenge at the rim (not get the block but make the player miss).. basically doing everything that doesn’t show up in stats.
