[Music] Let’s watch a short interview from the new Lakers star big mandee Andre Eton if what help can he give the Lakers nation next NBA season. definitely off the court and honestly um you know being with Luca our times of coming through the draft and you know getting to know him he’s super humble and you know um he’s very funny as well and you know we became super competitive uh coming up through this league and it got to where like he gave me a mean game seven was correct and you know just honestly just seeing him how he took over the league and here I am joining this team is you know it’s a journey and all I can do is like see him first thing probably just smile and laugh and but know out of this business at the end of the day and we here for one thing and that’s win a championship and I just want to show Laker Nation that they’re getting the best me and I’m not taking this for granted. Me speak for itself with the real legacy it has and the players that walk through here and play for this organization and represent in the best way on the court and off the court and it’s hard to deny and not see that. You know, me finally being a part of the free agency really helped me embrace, you know, all the teams that are interested and just started to see and learn this thing the correct way. And I just felt that Lake Angel was the best fit, you know, just the legacy and how you guys are. This is the best organization in sports history, so why not? And I really want to, you know, get back to the person I was and just contribute the best way I can to fit in. For me, it can be misleading and, you know, when you you work hard and you finally get under the wrath and, you know, it comes down to business. I really felt, you know, I felt appreciated, you know, that my hard work, you know, might not be in some wins on on the organizations I was, but individually, you know, it was valued to be honest from where I’ve been through the league, the years I’ve been in this league and the play they have here. There’s no excuse really just to play hard and have fun. Honestly, I just know I have a lot to prove. There’s a lot show, but I just really want to show Laker Nation I’m here to win. Like, forget about me. I’m just here to win. Now, let’s watch the latest interview of the defensive star of the Lakers, Marcus Mart. If what help can he give LeBron and Luca next NBA season? U, but the main one, you know, uh, being able to play with with, you know, Luca and LeBron, you know, two of the best to do it in this game. Um, two two great with great uh, basketball key that I’ve ever seen. um in this era. Um and you know when you get a guy like Luke calling reference and checking on you trying to see where you at to see and uh that that if you want to come and you know join something special that he’s trying to cook up over here. Um and and for him to say that, you know, to see that he can really use my help. Um that meant a lot. You know, um played against Luke a lot. uh been on a lot of opposing ends of uh you know Luca Magic and uh to be able to to come out and uh be on his side at this time means a lot. same he’s a competitor you know and uh you know he just the same way you know he has that competitive nature when he’s talking and he you know he’s intrigued and uh that’s it you know he didn’t really have to say much you know Luca his name his ability what he has done speak spoken for himself and uh you know for me like I said I’ve been on the other end of Luca magic so you know to be able to come and join and see it witness it uh on the other side is something that I was like why not give it a shot it definitely did uh but it’s an honor you know, um I was telling my wife, you know, to be able to play for one of the most historical franchises, let alone to play for two and to be here in purple and gold is is is a dream. I wish my mom was there to be able to see this, but uh it’s exciting. Um it’s definitely something that being in the east with Boston, I probably never would have thought of. Uh but once I left, it became a possibility and wanted to make sure it happened. I’m I’m very motivated. Um you know, the last two years for me was in my eyes a disappointment. uh you know, injuries uh kind of stopped me and held me back. But um like I told my wife and my family, you know, everything happens for a reason. And it’s funny that 12 years ago I could have been here. Um and now it’s full circle and I’m here. And like I said, everything happens for a reason. And I just look at those reasons was for me to be here, you know, to to not play, for people to look at me and say, you know what, maybe he isn’t the same. Uh and now that allows me to be in a place where I’m supposed to be. It was a relationship, but uh we definitely had a mutual understanding and respect for each other. Um after every game, you know, playing it was always, you know, flowers, you know, where to go, keep going, you know, keep those guys going and vice versa. Um at first came my agent, you know, I’m working out and and I get a call from my agent saying, you know, hey, Lucas reached out and I’m like, yeah, whatever. You know, like all right. And then another day, same thing. Lu reached out again. And now it’s it’s real, you know, it’s no longer um what ifs. It’s real. And it’s something we need to talk about. And uh that was a great feeling, like I said. And uh that’s kind of what kind of got the things going to for me to be here. And I’m excited to be here. Listen, you know, I’m I’m I’m I’m raised and the way I was raised and and the support staff I have around me, we all know nothing is nothing is given. You have to go earn it, you know, and that’s who I am. And that’s what I pride myself off of. Uh I understand that I’m coming into, you know, a new home where, you know, There’s already tenants here who’ve been here doing it for a while. And my job is to to not come over and take over, but to come in and increase what they’re already doing and help them help us be the best we can be.
