Dame says he never felt “pity” after his injury
I literally after I tore my Achilles and I felt it and I was sitting on the floor. I grabbed it and I rolled over and I sat up and the first thought that I had to myself was like I’m about to come back from an Achilles. That was literally my first thought like on my on my kids. That was the first thing I thought of and we got to the back and when the doctor said you tore your Achilles like I think everybody else had more pity for me than I did. like I had the PTs like you know about to cry and all of that stuff like I didn’t cry even when I got by myself I didn’t cry um and it wasn’t like a prideful thing I just my mind automatically went to like you know I I got to fight for something you know I know it’s going to be a long journey I know it’s a challenge mentally and I kind of shifted right there um to what I knew was coming and then it was, you know, just kind of learning more about it, you know, talking to Aaron Rogers and KD and Rudy Gay, you know, all these guys that experienced it and handled it differently. Um, but I never I never had that moment of like pity or any of those things with with none of my injuries, honestly. Um, but this one I know is like the probably the biggest one of my career. And um like you said, it’s a mental battle, but you know, if it’s a I don’t I don’t lose

Another $42 million dollars while you’re recovering also helps with that mental battle 😆😂😂…
Ai?
Yeah whatever dude
Walking by himself after he tore his Achilles shows how mentally ready hus was
Aaron Rodgers threw me off like do they golf together or what 🤣 Dame is tough no matter how you cut it tho 💯
Bro said on my kids in a interview 😭
Last of the REAL ones, right here.
And do nothing. That’s your whole career. Not shit
Cause the money's secured. Do that senior year.
I gotta fight to come back to the blazers and maybe get them into a play in 😂 only thing this man is fighting is convincing execs in Portland he’s still worth millions. Which he’s now
He obviously doesn't care about winning a chip a veteran going to a young team who's still years away
shit look AI
Also tearing your achilles when you have maybe 3-4 good years left at most is a-lot better than tatum or hali who have like a decade left to play with a bad knee
Killer mentality
You could of went to a bigger team.Maybe the NBA not for you.But good luck Miami princess
well dame is a straight G, we all knew this tho at least i did. he’s never one to boast and brag and show off or be loud and obnoxious off the court with controversies or stupidity. he’s always cool calm collected, humble and professional. i knew that he wasn’t gonna let this injury bring him down and feel sorry for himself. cause what can you do in that position other than be positive and motivated. so to hear this from him is very least surprising and shows the type of person he is. ever since he hit that buzzer beater sending harden, dwight howard and the rockets home in the playoffs. he’s been my #1 favorite player. and after he hit that buzzer beater and waved goodbye to paul george and the thunder, that solidified and confirmed why he’s my favorite baller in the league rn
My God! I always loved Dame’s game. After hearing him speak about his injury, I’m even more of a fan. He’s a real one!🔥💪🏾👏🏾
True warrior
Dame a dog. This world demands you to be one.
I hate this injury for any athlete
Reminds me of Kobe’s reaction to his Achilles tear… “If you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear”
Idk but is this ai
blazers will be in the finals sometime in the next 3 years behind Hansen Yang mark my words
