The Best NBA Team To Never Win A Championship | Mind The Game Podcast
When you think back to our time in Brooklyn, what do you think of him stepping on that damn three-point line? Stepping on that damn can’t get away from it, too, cuz they g they gonna they gonna repost that and tag me in that. I feel like we were locked in on the same page and understand like, well, we trying to do something special here and I felt like your hands were tied a lot because you had to, as a coach, you got to deal with so much. You know, I didn’t get to coach as much as I wanted to. That’s what it was. We had a threestar roster, played 16 games together. We balled out every game we played together. Just everything that you had basketball, I didn’t feel like you could inject that into everybody in the way that you we all envisioned. You know what I’m saying? Just because of the distractions, co injuries more than anything. I think it’s injuries. We I feel like we had a good chance to win that first year. But we were injured. James shouldn’t have been playing. He was on one leg. I was hurt. Jeff Green was in and out. I thought we had a great chance to to win it that year.
The BEST NBA Teams That NEVER Won a Championship! 🏀💔 🏆
🔥 2001 Sacramento Kings
• Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, Peja Stojaković, Vlade Divac
One of the most complete and exciting teams ever—robbed by the refs in the infamous 2002 Western Conference Finals.
🔥 2007 Phoenix Suns
• Steve Nash, Amar’e Stoudemire, Shawn Marion
The peak of “7 Seconds or Less.” A revolutionary offense stopped short by suspensions and bad luck.
🔥 1998 Utah Jazz
• Karl Malone, John Stockton, Jeff Hornacek
Back-to-back Finals appearances, but always ran into that guy named MJ.
🔥 2018 Houston Rockets
• James Harden, Chris Paul, Clint Capela
Up 3–2 on the Warriors before CP3’s injury and a historic cold streak ended their title hopes.
🔥 1993 Seattle SuperSonics
• Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Detlef Schrempf
Elite on both ends, but couldn’t get past Barkley and the Suns.
🔥 2012 Oklahoma City Thunder
• Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka
A young superteam that reached the Finals… then got broken up way too soon.
🔥 1994 New York Knicks
• Patrick Ewing, John Starks, Charles Oakley
So close in ’94, but lost in 7 to Hakeem and the Rockets.
🔥 2021 Brooklyn Nets
• Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving
Injuries derailed one of the most talented big threes ever assembled.
👀 Whether it was injuries, bad calls, or running into all-time great dynasties—these teams came up just short. Which one do YOU think was most deserving of a ring?

2012 thunder team, still can’t believe they didn’t stay together and win 1 🏆
Kd never getting over the demons
2018 Houston Rockets
Nobody wants to talk about how Giannis pulled a Zaza Pachulia on kyrie and that’s what cost them the title
That’s a good perspective of reality. Future generations won’t understand
man really mentioned jeff green tho
The only answer to that question is Kyrie Irving. Even James Harden was like nah fuck this I’m out. Kyrie was tripping and ruined that entire team
😂
Nash stole Kobe mvp
Kyrie ruined that team let’s not sugar coat it.
KD can’t win without Steph
I would really be curious to understand what really happened in that locker room. Injuries are not en excuse for their impatience. With that winning rate they could have just stayed together one more year and they would have been a contender. Harden is never blamed about this failure but he also was one of the reasons that team failed.
No the problem is they’re all over paid babies
