BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨🚨 Chicago Bulls SIGN Yuki Kawamura to Two-Way Contract! YukiMania has ARRIVED! πŸ€πŸ‚πŸ”΄βš«

Welcome to another episode of Just Another Year, Chicago Bulls. And I’m here with some breaking news, baby. Cuz I’m stoked to let y’all know that Yuki Kawamura is a Chicago Bull. And that’s what we’re talking about on this episode. Yuki Mania is here, you guys. I’m so pumped up for this. If you love the Bulls signing Yuki, hit the like button, y’all. I swear every view on this video should have a like on it. I know it doesn’t work that way, but come on, man. How can you not love Yuki Mania in Chicago? and do you still want to keep Jamir Young? Now, there was a report that he was waved in order to make room for uh Yuki Kalamura. That being said, it doesn’t mean that it has to stay that way. I I feel like Jir Young still has value. I know that he’s another guard. I know. But that being said, like Javon Carter is going to be out of here after next year, and I would like to keep Young. Like, I don’t know. I know that he’s going to fall below Yuki. I know that he’s probably not going to get run here. So, he probably wants to go somewhere where he can get a ch a chance cuz he can go to a team like Brooklyn and probably get an opportunity uh because they don’t have much at the point guard position and he can score, man. Like, he’s a legitimate player. Uh you don’t put up 40 points and and have a I just feel bad for him because he put up the NBA high for points scored in the summer league this summer and then he got cut. I mean, how crazy is it that that that happened for us? Like the Bulls had a very fun summer league team. I’ll say that. But all right, guys. Let’s talk about Yuki Mania. This is not going to be a long video. I’m just here to to basically do a victory lap because look, I wasn’t on board at first. You I I’m I’m have no problem owning up to my stuff, right? So, I first said that he was going to be a fan favorite and I said prep for Yuki Mania. That being said, like I also said there’s not room for him on the actual team. Like I thought we’d have fun with him, but I didn’t think he’d make the roster. I really didn’t. Um I I I thought that Jir Young had a had a lock on that position on that last guard position because he played really well. He averaged 20 points, six uh assists, four rebounds, and two steals um approximately for the Windy City Bulls last season. That’s those are good numbers. Like he was one of the best rookies in the G-League last year. and then he just came out this summer and yeah, he like was he started inconsistent, but then he dropped 40 and then he started really hot uh yesterday. So, it’s not like he’s played himself out of a job. So, I I was on the Jamir Young’s going to be kept over Yuki Kawamura um bandwagon until yesterday. Yesterday was when I changed. Um Yuki’s performance was just so electric. like he he had already shown that he could do those things, but yesterday was a master class. Like he did it from start to finish. It was almost every time he touched the ball. I mean, it was at a rate that is uncommon. You don’t see stuff like that in the NBA, even the summer league. Not like that. Um, Yuki’s got something special in him. And I’m really excited that we got him on this team. I don’t know if he’s ever going to be a major contributor in in important games. Maybe he will. I mean, how can you doubt the kid now? This kid is my height. He is 5 foot eight with shoes. I’m five 5’8 with shoes. And this dude not only made an NBA team, but did so while cracking a guard like by by cracking one of the most stacked guard lineups in the NBA. Like yes, we don’t have that top tier elite talent, but like one through six, we’re one of the like you’ll be hardressed to find another NBA team that has six guards that are as good as our six guards. Their top two might be way better than our top two type of thing, but we are deep there. So this 5 foot8 player took the reigns and just made it happen despite the fact that the guy that was holding the spot in front of him dropped a 40piece four days ago or whatever it was just it it didn’t phase him. I mean how can you not love that? How can you like Yuki just went out there and played his game and he balled out? Like I’m This is the type of stuff that doesn’t happen in the NBA very often and we should really cherish these moments when they happen because it’s rare for someone that is so counted out and does not fit the bill from in in so many check boxes. Like a guy like Yuki isn’t supposed to be on an NBA team in so many ways. And then you add in all the guards we had, how good they were, Jir Young dropping 40, all of these things for Yuki to still make the team. And not only that, never flinch, never waver, almost never have I mean, he barely had any bad plays. Like a bad play for Yuki in the summer league was like missing a shot. That’s not a bad play. Like he turned over a ball yesterday because he went to throw an alley oop and he’s thrown so many alley oops that the defensive player actually expected it. Like that’s how you know you’re balling out when they’re going to anticipate your alley oops. Like that’s pretty special stuff. I mean I’d like to think that maybe the front office is waking up. The last off the last year and a half has not been as bad as Bulls fans some Bulls fans will lead you to believe. I know that these guys haven’t done a good job. Bulls Nation, you know that I know that. But you also know that I am not going to sacrifice my honest opinion to support my narratives. I don’t care about being wrong. I have no problem with being wrong. Everybody’s wrong in sports. And anybody that tries to avoid being wrong or act like they they move the goalpost here, they move the goalpost there, they’re lame. It’s lame. It’s not it it’s not respectable. That’s for sure. So, I have no problem standing on business and saying that I don’t I yes, like I didn’t like everything that everything prior to last season. Fminus for AK. But starting with last offseason, he started to make some moves that made sense and he’s still doing it. Now, is he still making mistakes? Absolutely. If that Kobe White trade offer was on the table for two first round picks, you should have taken it. That’s a that that that’s a miss. Uh trading down 10 spots in the second round for cash considerations, miss. That being said, you get a guy like Matas Brousels, big hit. Get a guy like Josh Giddy, big hit. Choosing to keep an elite playmaker because he has an elite skill that is far more elite than anything that Jir Young was going to bring to the table, even scoring wise. Like Jamir Young’s scoring is not equivalent to Yuki’s playmaking on a skill level like comparison. It’s not close. Yuki Yuki is legitimately might be a top 25 like passer in the league in the world. Like that’s how good he is at passing the ball. He’s so good at it. He’s crisp. He’s electric. He’s flashy. He’s on the money. Like it’s accurate. It’s timely. It’s everything. So, I you got to keep that guy with the elite skill set, especially at the end of your bench. If you’re going to call on someone from the end of the bench, you’d like to hope that they have one skill they can depend on. Yuki does. That’s a fact. He’s going to run that team out there. But maybe we’ve maybe our front office has seen the lie, you guys. I just maybe maybe just maybe we’ll see because I do like to know SNK pick as well. I just wanted to quickly remind you guys, anyone that’s a fan of the channel, yo guys, it’s time to rally up. It’s time to push Yuki Mania. We coined it on this channel together. You guys did it with me two weeks ago and now Yuki Yuki Kamura is actually a member of the Bulls. It’s time to push Yuki Mania, guys. Like, push Yuki Mania. Be a part of the movement and you can say you were a part of the of the birth of Yuki Mania. I love it. Let’s do it, man. And I wanted to show you guys his summer league stats. So, he averaged 10 points a game, shot 42% from the field, 41.7% from three-point. He averaged two uh he averaged three points uh three sorry, he averaged two three-pointers made a game, 2.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 2.2 steals, and the record that he led the Chicago Bulls to uh was 3-2, and they ended on a three-game winning streak. So, I’m absolutely thrilled for you, Calamura, in case you can’t tell. I’m I’m so stoked. I I think that he’s going to bring another positive element to this locker room. I love to see the dynamic between him and Matas. I value the locker room dynamic. It is that’s not talked about enough, frankly, in the NBA. Your locker room and how well you all get along and what your culture is like when everybody goes in there is vital. And I firmly believe that it had soured during the last few years of like the Lavine and Demar and V, you know, well V is still here, but Lavine and Demar and like something soured there where it wasn’t going to get better. Now I think you’ve seen after the All-Star break, you’re seeing a team that’s coming together, that’s learning to win together and love each other. They’re all young for the most part and the youngest ones are the ones driving the boat. Like is Josh Giddy and Matas Buzzel is taking vocal leadership roles and then Kobe White taking more of a you know watch my actions and follow type of leadership role and now I mean you know you got Noah Essen and now you bring in uh Yuki Kawamura. You have a very cultured team from all around the world that are young and hungry. I like the mix that we’re bringing in here. And Yuki being able to learn from Josh Giddy and Trey Jones and I Dumu is invaluable. Yuki is still actually I’m not sure how old he is. Let’s find out. Yuki Kawamura age he is 24 years old. Fits the timeline if you ask me. He turned it on May 2nd, so he’s not going to turn 25 until after or the end of next season. Perfect. So, Yuki does fit the timeline. And who knows, man. Maybe Trey maybe he continues to to stay here and develop. Trey Jones, who knows? Maybe he plays out his contract. And then Yuki Kawamura, permanent backup point guard for the Chicago Bulls. I don’t hate it. I like the idea of it. He’ll never be a starter. Let’s put that to bed. Yuki Kamura is not going to be a starting co. He’s 5’7. He still has limitations, but as a backup, perfect. as a you know whether I wouldn’t want him as a second option right now at point guard but the third point guard or the fourth point guard on your team with the idea of someday graduating to number two perfect perfect plan for for Yuki and Yuki because Yuki has an elite skill set that will translate despite his height and that is his playmaking I firmly believe with these two-way contracts the way you want to handle them is you don’t want some jackof alltrades on a two-way contract because they’re barely going to get on the court. You’re hoping that in a two-way contract they’re there in case of vi like a lot of injuries or they’re there to develop and you hope that someday they’ll become a part of your rotation. Well, if you’ve got a jack-of alltrades kind of guy like Miller reminds me of that, Emanuel Miller, he does a little of everything, but he’s not great at anything. And when you’re not great at anything, unless you’re going to somehow elevate your game so much so that you end up being more well-rounded than anybody else on the team, which isn’t happening. It’s not that you need an elite skill to separate you. That that shows to me why you’re there on the end of the bench. Like, okay, if I have to call on this two-way player, I know there’s one thing I can get out of him, and it’s this. You don’t have that with Miller. You have that with Yuki Kawamura because you know he could run the offense. You know he can run the break. You know he can pass the ball. You know he’s going to get people scoring opportunities in favorable positions. That matters. That’s why I want to bring back Young instead of Miller because Young isn’t is a professional scorer or Javon Freeman Liberty for that matter. I’d rather have either of those guys than Emanuel Miller because what what what does Miller do that that really stands out at the next level? I’d almost rather keep Pereira. I mean, I don’t know. I’m This is about Yuki and the reason we kept Yuki was because of his playmaking. I guarantee you that. Don’t sleep on him becoming a part of the rotation. Now, I don’t think he’ll ever become a big part of it this year, but I could see him carving out like a 5 to seven minute role for himself. And I hope that the Bulls actually beat down the bad teams like they were at the end of last season. I hope they do that consistently this year because I don’t know about y’all, but I’m trying to watch Yuki play some real NBA basketball. 100%. And Billy D, you know who’s more stoked about this than anybody else? Billy Donovan. Billy Donovan is absolutely thrilled at the thought of small ball. Not just because Yuki is short, but because now you you’ve committed to fast break play. You don’t sign Yuki Kamura if you’re not planning to pay play with pace. That dude is a pace machine. So, with that being said, it’s going to be small ball, man. We’re not going to be getting some big lug uh after Vousvich who just, you know, was like big baby Glenn Davis running up the court all fat. It’s not going to happen. It’s going to be somebody athletic. We’re going to be running. And uh that’s what the signing of Yuki signifies to me. But that’ll do it for this episode of Just Another Year’s Chicago Bulls. My apologies, my lighting was off there. But uh I just wanted to give you guys some breaking news. But man, congratulations to Yuki Kawamura. Bulls nation, just another year, Chicago Bulls fans. It’s time to push Yuki Mania. Do it for me. Do it for you. Do it for the movement. Do it for Yuki because we are seeing red more than ever, baby. Let’s go.

PCV IV is BACK and so is YUKIMANIA, BABY! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅πŸ”₯ The Chicago Bulls have officially signed Yuki Kawamura to a two-way contract, and host Philip Charles VanDerHeyden IV is here to break it ALL down on Just Another Year Chicago: Bulls! πŸ’₯

After a stellar Summer League showing, the Bulls made the right callβ€”Yuki Kawamura is HIM. In five games, Yuki averaged 9.6 PTS, 2.4 REB, 6.6 AST, and 2.2 STL in just under 24 minutes per game. He shot 40.5% from the field, 39.1% from deep, and a rock-solid 81.8% from the line. But the stats don’t even tell the full story… this man was dropping DIMES left and right, and his teammates were blowing layups and wide-open jumpers all over the place! 😀 If even half those shots fall, Yuki might’ve averaged double-digit assists with ease.

And then there was that final game against the Jazz… 20 points, 10 assists, 6 threes, 4 rebounds, 2 stealsβ€”ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 🎯πŸ”₯

To make room, the Bulls waived Jahmir Young, who gave us one of the craziest Summer League moments ever with 40 POINTS on July 16th , our host PCV IV’s birthday! πŸπŸ’”

It’s tough to see him go, especially after leading all Summer Leaguers in scoring that night. But when it comes down to long-term fit and elite-level playmaking, Yuki is the better choiceβ€”no question. PCV IV breaks down exactly why.

So, what does this mean for the Bulls’ backcourt rotation? Who will benefit most from Yuki’s game? And what can fans expect from one of Japan’s brightest stars as he gears up for a real NBA opportunity?

  1. Do you think the Bulls did the right thing by cutting Jahmir Young? Type 'Y' for Yes or Type 'N' for No in the comments below!

Alternatively, if you think the answer is No, you could tell me who you think we should've cut instead! Personally, I would've cut Miller before Young. But if they wanted to keep it position-for-position, then I would cut Miller today in favor of Pereira.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YUKI KAWAMURA! Well-deserved after all of his hard work. What a great development for Japanese basketball. YukiMania is here to STAY for 2025-26! Lets go!

  2. Yuki is gonna be fun to watch… everyone needs to pay more attention to the Windy City Bulls this season…. Hopefully he earns some decent minutes in the UC TOO!

  3. YukiMania!!! I hope he can crack the rotation, but one thing is for sure: I need to hit up a Windy City Bulls game!

  4. Yuki is actually a really annoying on ball defender. Obviously, when NBA players get position down low, there's not much he can do (same could be said for many guys), but when he drops down he holds his ground really well considering the size difference. While I agree starting is probably not realistic, I can totally see him playing a TJ McConnell type role in bursts, changing the flow and pace of the game off the bench. When he's hot with the shot, keep him on the floor for extended minutes, and he'll give you 24, 12, 6 with a couple of steals.
