Utah Jazz TRADE Walker Kessler To The Brooklyn Nets? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Utah Jazz be trading away Walker Kesler to the Brooklyn Nets this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the Utah Jazz receiving Keon Johnson, Jaylen Wilson, a 2027 firstround draft pick from the Knicks, and a 2028 firstround draft pick from Philly, and the Brooklyn Nets receiving Walker Kesler. So, this trade’s pretty intriguing because this would see the Utah Jazz uh getting back a good hall in return for a good young player. Uh getting back a couple first round draft picks in the foreseeable future. always tremendous value for a rebuilding team to add as well as some good young talent in the form of Keon Johnson and Jaylen Wilson. Will these guys be superstars in the NBA someday? Likely not. But could they be good players in this rebuilding Utah Jazz’s system? Potentially. So, one way to find out is if of course it were to happen. But from the Jazz’s perspective, they if they want to keep stockpiling assets, the Brooklyn Nets have a ton of future draft capital and they could potentially look to package those together and getting a good young player in the form of Walker Kler. So, not a bad idea there from the Jazz’s perspective. Now, from the Brooklyn Nets perspective, this would see them utilizing other teams draft assets and keeping their own uh while still getting a good Young talent for the foreseeable future. So, the Brooklyn Nets have a ton of draft picks. But, if they’re able to keep their own Brooklyn Nets draft picks and give away teams like the Knicks who want to be good, as well as Philadelphia who want to be good, maybe those picks don’t even carry that much value. Perhaps those draft picks are in the 20s in in some regards. So, if you’re able to flip, you know, let’s say a 23rd overall draft pick and a 23rd or fourth overall draft pick, plus two young players, he probably won’t be anything crazy in the NBA, that’s some really good value to me for a player like Walker Kesler, who since being traded to Utah a couple years ago, has been a really solid player. A double double machine, a defensive presence below the basket. He doesn’t move the needle, I would say, offensively speaking, uh, but he’s a pretty solid player nonetheless. But if you’re able to get him on this Brooklyn Nets team who want to get better, who are still rebuilding, he fits the timeline perfectly in my opinion. So, sort of a win-win trade in both uh for both teams in my opinion. But if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’m going to go with the Brooklyn Nets. But as always, leave your thoughts.
