Most random thing of this NBA offseason is this Wizards Hornets beef. This is a real thing. I’ve been seeing it all over my Twitter feed these past few days, and I think this is where it started. Someone asked, “Who has the best young core in the NBA?” And Wizards Muse replied, “Well, it’s the Washington Wizards.” A Hornets fan replied and said, “You’re trash.” This graphic was posted and all hell broke loose. Someone posted this graphic. Do you have a winning record against the Charlotte Hornets? Everybody in the Eastern Conference does except the Washington Wizards. But the Wizards are 9 and three against the Hornets over the past three seasons. 5-0 since 2024. The Hornets are the only team the Wizards haven’t lost to in this time frame. We got this 2-minute clip of LaMelo Ball being clamped up by the Wizards, followed by someone roasting Alex Sar for shooting 39% from the field in his rookie season. Now, this is all hilarious because over the last 10 years, the Wizards and Hornets have two of the three worst records in the NBA, but they’re still beefing and other fan bases are taking sides. The Wizards have the Rockets and Knicks as allies, while the Hornets have the Nets, Celtics, Thunder, and Pacers. Some of this is by association with Pacers fans not wanting to take the side of Knicks fans.
