So, could the Los Angeles Lakers be trading away LeBron James to the Brooklyn Nets this 2025NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from Fadeaway World.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Brooklyn Nets receiving LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Michael Porter Jr., Terrence Man, and a 2031 first round draft pick. So obviously this is not going to happen. There’s not going to be a world where the Brooklyn Nets look to flip Michael Porter Jr. as well as Terence Man after acquiring these guys this off season. Let alone for LeBron James who’s on the wrong side of 40 may only have legitimately speaking one or two years left. And if LeBron were to go to the Brooklyn Nets in their situation they currently have, he would be miserable and this team would still not be very good. And I think the whole point of LeBron James leaving the Lakers at this point of his NBA to uh of his NBA career is to win a championship before his career is all said and done and kind of a sail away on into the sunset with a championship ring. So that’s not going to happen in Brooklyn. Brooklyn has one of the worst situations in basketball right now. The roster is pretty terrible. They do have a lot of draft picks though. So if they can hit on those like the Thunder sort of did and how they built their potential dynasty, then yeah, maybe the future looks pretty bright. But LeBron James doesn’t have the all the patience in the world. He’s not getting any younger. And if this guy’s going to go anywhere, it’s going to be to a team like the Mavericks or a team like the Rockets or a team that’s pretty much a LeBron James away from winning a championship or being that sort of missing piece. And the Brooklyn Nets are far from that. So, if LeBron wants to go play in Brooklyn and be a part of the New York City area, there’s a team across the the Hudson River called uh the New York Knicks that would love to have them, and they’re a lot better. So, doesn’t make too much sense in my opinion. Now, from the Lakers perspective, if they’re able to get back this package in return, all things to them, like especially that 2031 first round draft pick, like this Nets rebuild could be a disaster. If they miss on those draft picks, etc. That could very well be a top pick at that point. Plus, you’re getting back two pretty solid 3 and D options like Michael Porter Jr. when healthy. He can be a nice piece, has championship experience. Terrence man as well. A good uh player to have some size and sort of have coming off your bench and more of a defensive presence there as well. So, this trade is just super goofy from the Net’s perspective. Uh so, without a doubt to me, the Lakers win this deal. Leave your thoughts.
