So, could the Los Angeles Lakers be trading away LeBron James to the Atlanta Hawks this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. But this trade would see the Atlanta Hawks receiving LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Jaylen Johnson, Luke Canard, Kobe Buffkin, and a 2029 first round draft pick. So, the Hawks are actually a pretty intriguing team to me this upcoming season. Uh they of course made the big time trade uh with the um with the Pelicans on draft day, getting their first uh first round pick next year, which is crazy. that could be a very good lottery pick. They also made the trade for Christo Porzingis this offseason as well. So with Jaylen Johnson who’s mentioned in this deal coming back from an injury, he’s a pretty intriguing player because I feel like a lot of people forget about Jaylen Johnson and just how good this guy was before his injury and with the emergence of Tyson Daniels being one of the better perimeter defenders in all of basketball. Trey Young’s obviously pretty electric and yeah, by the way, they drafted Zachary first overall a couple years ago. He has some good potential in this league. So, the Hawks are trending in the right direction and if LeBron James sort of looks at this team as a possibility for him to sort of have an easier pass to the uh to the finals uh just kind of given how I would say wide open the Eastern Conference this this upcoming season with a couple injuries to obviously Tyrese Hallebertton and Jason Tatum. So, if LeBron wanted to finish the last couple years off of his career in the Eastern Conference, I think the Hawks are in a pretty awesome spot. They have some good young assets. their draft capital isn’t always there because of the Spurs and the trade that happened a couple years ago for DeJonte Murray. So, uh, in this case, they’d be getting rid of all their future draft capital, but the window could very well be open now for the Hawks compete for a championship. So, I’m a big fan of Jaylen Johnson. If he goes back to the Lakers, that’s a pretty awesome piece for them to have if he can stay healthy. This guy can easily be like a 20 and 10 player and play some really good defense. So, that can kind of make up for some of the shortcomings offensively that Luca has on this team as well as some other players. So, it’s not a bad package. All things considered, this would be the Hawks making a pretty aggressive move and going for a championship. When the window might only be one or two years open with LeBron on the roster. So, if I had to pick a winner for the short term, I kind of respect this. I’m going to go with the Atlanta Hawks. But for the long term, you have to go with the Lakers without a shadow of doubt.
