The newest center for the Lakers has a major flaw #nba #basketball #lakers #hoops #bball #fyp
The Lakers new center DeAndre Aiden had a major flaw exposed by a soccer trick. Now, I wouldn’t say Aiden is a poor defender per se, but something that jumps out on film is that he often plays defense in a super wide stance. And while this does help him guard people better on the perimeter where he really could get burned as in pick and roll coverage, and this is a perfect example back with the Suns in a matchup with the Raptors, they must have seen Aiden’s tendency to widen his legs because they proceeded to nutmeg him four times in this game. here after Lowry comes off and Aiden showing all hands and feet to deter any sort of pass. There’s really no angle but to throw it between his legs which creates an open shot. A couple plays later, same thing. This time the Suns completely switch the pick and roll. So Aiden does his best job to gobble up space. But the only problem is his wide open passing lane he gives up. So Lowry takes advantage by hitting his man rolling. Even Pascal got to join on a bit of the fun because he threw a dime on the move against Aane and pay attention to the bench. Kyle’s like, “Man, he stole that move from me.” and Nurse actually gets heated because the game plan got ruined by a missed layup. This last one’s the most ambiguous of them all, but rest assured Lowry got his fun one more time. After the offensive rebound, Aiden’s playing a defense here if the ball handler wasn’t looking down low, but Lowry sees the opening, his found in stride, and his teammates are loving it. More and more teams are catching on to this defensive flaw. And with Aiden now on the Lakers, someone better warn him or else the highlights are coming.

Damn
Lmao I love this. I honestly think the nutmeg needs to be implemented more and is underrated for its use
4 times in one game is insane 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lakers in 5👀
This is a stance that is goalkeeper stance. The funny thing is that, even in soccer/football, this is not a proper stance that you use, as it it leaves prone to fouling if the player dribbles around you, nutmeg, or making yourself less reactionary. You wanna stay low and keep your arms low. The only time you really use the big star fish stand is when you're standing to save penalties (even then you actually wanna keep your arms low for faster and firm reaction). If anything, if a goalkeeper rushes out trying to make himself big like that, he is usually considered inexperienced. Guess this applies to Ayton as well
He is trae young worst enemy

Ayton is fools gold
