Detroit Pistons TRADE Jaden Ivey To The Boston Celtics? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Detroit Pistons be trading away Jaden Ivy to the Boston Celtics this 2025NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadewayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Detroit Pistons receiving Anthony Simons and the Boston Celtics receiving Jaden Ivy, Isaiah Stewart, and a 2027 second round draft pick. So, my initial thoughts on this deal is that this is actually a pretty solid move for both teams. Now, from the Pistons perspective, they’re getting back a really solid player in a good point of his NBA career that’s getting better each and every season and could be a perfect running mate offensively speaking to build around Kate Cunningham for not only the uh the present, but for the foreseeable future. So, I think Anthony Simons uh getting rerouted to Detroit would actually be probably a better fit for him basketball-wise than where he currently stands in Boston. Now, Boston acquired Anthony Simons in that cap. Uh, saving move that saw Drew Holiday go to the Trailblazers, but there has been some reports and some rumors about Anthony Simons maybe not even playing a single game for the Celtics and being rerouted at some point prior to the start of the 2025 26 season. So, I think sort of building off the Pistons momentum from last year and sort of how good uh this team’s heading in the right direction, I think adding some more offense to the fold in the form of Anthony Simons, who by the way is just 26 years old. this could be a perfect move for the lake or for the um uh Pistons to make, especially when it comes to building around Kate Cunningham. So, I’m a pretty big fan of this deal. Now, from Boston’s perspective, I love this deal for them as well. If they’re able to flip an asset in Anthony Simons for multiple assets, uh such as Jaden Ivy, Isaiah Stewart, any second round draft pick, that’s some pretty uh tidy work, I would say, uh from uh you know, Brad Stevens, and the rest of the Celtics front office. So, Jaden Ivy, I think, could definitely benefit from a change of scenery. He’s a really solid player and I’m sure that the Pistons would love to keep him um at the end of the day, but if they’re able to find a trade that they love, I think that someone like Jaden Ivy is expendable and I think if he were to go to Boston, he could adapt nicely, especially with Jason Tayen being out of the lineup next year with with this roster being in a little bit, I would say, worse than the year before, I think there would be some opportunity for Jay Knight to be an everyday player in that starting lineup and be a really good player for the foreseeable future as well. Isaiah Stewart, defensively speaking, is hard to play against. He’s a tough basketball player as well. he can kind of replace uh the big men that were lost in the form of Chris Sporzingis and Al Horford and play with a little bit more toughness than those guys do in my personal opinion. So, truthfully speaking, a pretty solid trade for both sides if I to pick a winner. I’m actually going to go with Boston in my opinion and kind of betting on the upside of Ivy there. Uh but those are just my thoughts. As always, leave yours down below.
