San Antonio Spurs TRADE De’Aaron Fox To The Miami Heat? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the San Antonio Spurs be trading away De’aran Fox to the Miami Heat this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fade awayworld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the San Antonio Spurs receiving Andrew Wiggins, Haywood Heismith, and a 2030 first round draft pick, and the Miami Heat receiving De’arren Fox and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, ever since the Spurs drafted Dylan Harper second overall a couple weeks ago at the 2025 NBA draft, there actually has been some speculation uh regarding De’arren Fox and his future in San Antonio. And if you know, and if Dylan Harper emerges into a superstar player, which I think he can definitely be that guy um based on his college career, it kind of makes Taran Fox somewhat expendable. And if the Spurs are able to leverage that and turn that into some assets to kind of make their team a little bit deeper, which in this case they would, plus get some draft capital out of it, they could perhaps have even more ammo in case the next superstar becomes available. So if Giannis becomes available, they have more than they can trade the Bucks. And in a perfect world, this could just make their team better in the long term. So from the Spurs’ perspective, I like the additions for them here. Uh getting Andrew Wiggins and Haywood Highmith, getting back a good veteran player like Andrew Wiggins. he can probably be on this team like a 17 to 19 point per game guy. I think if you have him play behind Victor Winyama and if other players like uh Stfan Castle take a step as I mentioned before Dylan Harper take a step in his first season uh they have some good supporting pieces as well like Devin Vauel uh Jeremy Sohan obviously Kell Johnson etc. Then adding a veteran, a nice veteran wing, maybe a number two or number three option offensively speaking on the Spurs team behind WBY. I think Andrew Wiggins is the perfect guy to go to San Antonio and fit in perfectly. So love the move there. Haywood Highmith adds some more depth in their front court. So always good to have that. And also too, a 2030 first round draft pick from a team in Miami who’s future to me is a little bit up in the air, especially 5 years from now. I would take that chance. Now from the Heats perspective, this is not a bad move either. Uh they’ve been shopping players like Andrew Wiggins for quite some time now. It seems like I think that they want to get better and get better now. Uh so they made the trade obviously for Norman Powell this off season. Uh there’s been some reports of them being interested some other players as well. So the Heat want to add, the fan base wants to add and if they’re able to get De’Aran Fox and keep a lot of their good core together, they could be a really good team in the foreseeable future. So truthfully, not a bad trade on either side. If I had to pick a winner, I’m going to probably go with the Spurs just because of the potential of them packaging up those assets later on for a larger trade. Uh, but that’s just that of course is just speculation. As always, leave your thoughts.
