But this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Damontes Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings receiving and Fernie Simons, Sam Hower, Georgie Niang, Nemius Couta, and two first round draft picks. So, if this were to go down, this would be a blockbuster. Now, truthfully, I think the Kings are in a good spot to trade one of their assets this off seasonason. whether that’s likely going to be Demar De Rozan, Damon Sabonis, andor Zack Lavine. I think Damas Sabonis could make some sense if if they’re able to get back this return in my personal opinion. Now, Tomato Sabonis really good basketball player. He’s a double double machine. Uh puts up some good stats, etc. But when it comes to carrying a team and playing championship style basketball, maybe as the alpha dog, he’s not that guy. So, I think that that if he actually were to go to this Boston team and surround himself with Jaylen Brown, uh Jason Tatum when he’s healthy, and of course Derek White, he’d be a tremendous fit, especially too with Porzingis and Horford leaving this off season. A replacement in the front court for the Celtics has to be a priority for them. So, I love this move for them in regards to, you know, putting together a championship caliber team. It might be a year too early just because of Tatum’s injury, etc. So maybe this deal makes a little bit more sense after this upcoming season. Uh but from the Kings’s perspective, not a bad idea. Like Anthony Simons, good young player, could fit in pretty well with this back court in in in Sacramento as well as being a player entering the prime of his NBA career. Sam Hower, good player as well. Georgie Niang, uh Couta, like all good players to add in regards to depth. And if you’re able to get back two first round draft picks, that could be a pretty good price to pay as or pretty good uh you know, assets to get back in regards to this asking price. So, it’s a ton. It’s a lot to give up. Damon Sabon is obviously the best player. If I had to pick a winner with this deal, though, I’m going to probably go with the Kings just because they are getting back quite a bit in regards to assets. Uh, and for the Boston Celtics, there’s no guarantee that this pays off for them uh by acquiring Damont Sabonis, but also too from a payroll perspective, it kind of goes against what they’ve done this off seasonason in regards to shedding some payroll as they’d be adding back a pretty big contract in Montis Sabonis. So, it’s a pretty close deal, but as I mentioned before, the winner to me is the Sacramento Kings. But as always, leave your thoughts.
