So, could the Boston Celtics be trading away Derek White to the Sacramento Kings this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Sacramento Kings receiving Derek White and the Boston Celtics receiving Dennis Schroeder a 2028 firstround pick and a 2027 second round draft pick. So, in my personal opinion, this would be an amazing trade for the Kings to make if this was somewhat possible. Truthfully speaking, I don’t feel like that Derrick White would be had for this trade package. It was reportedly, I guess, you know, reported a week before the draft or whatever, uh, that the Toronto Raptors actually offered RJ Barrett plus a ninth overall draft pick for Derek White. And the Celtics basically laughed at the Raptors proposal. So, I don’t really see a world where this is going to be good enough to kind of move um, you know, Derrick White elsewhere. I think that Boston values this player tremendously well and they should. He’s on a reasonable contract. I would say a really solid player and defensively speaking, he’s one of the best in the entire NBA. So, this would have to cost the Kings, I would think, a lot more in return for Derek White. But, hypothetically speaking, if this were to happen, I think Derrick White going to Sacramento and playing alongside Demar D Rozan, Zack Lavine, and Damontes Sabonis, it makes the Kings, I would say, a top caliber team in the Western Conference next year. here and this would be a perfect addition to a team in Sacramento looking for some more stability looking for some more defense and looking to take the next step as a franchise, get back to the playoffs and go on a bit of a run that way. So, I think Derrick White going to Sacramento is a perfect move for them to make. Now, from Boston’s perspective, as I’ve mentioned before, this would have to be a lot more in return. So, perhaps some more draft capital, maybe a roster player like a Zack Lavine or a Donna Sabonis heads back to Boston. Whatever the case may be, this trade to me is just selling pretty um I would say pretty uh short on a player like Derek White in my opinion. So, uh the Celtics aren’t down this bad in my opinion. So, uh to me, this is just not good enough value for the Celtics to receive for. So, for those reasons, I think the Sacramento Kings win this deal without a doubt.
