Chicago Bulls TRADE Patrick Williams To The San Antonio Spurs? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Chicago Bulls be trading away Patrick Williams to the San Antonio Spurs this 2025NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the San Antonio Spurs receiving Patrick Williams, Kevin Herder, a 2029 first round pick, and a 2032 second round pick, and the Chicago Bulls receiving De’Aran Fox. So, there’s been some speculation the last couple days now, you know, picking up some momentum about De’Arren Fox potentially being on the trademark. Now, I think the Spurs likely start off the year with De’Arren Fox on the roster, uh, despite the fact that they did, of course, draft Dylan Harper second overall in this past NBA draft. So, could there be some conflict moving forward? I guess potentially. But from the from this first perspective, that’s a great problem to have because that means that someone like Dylan Harper is showing signs of being a superstar. So, Darren Fox, really solid player. I I don’t know his long-term future on the Spurs roster. So, if they want to sort of dangle him on the trademark, they could definitely get back some decent return. Now, in this per in my personal opinion, uh from the Spurs perspective here, I don’t love this deal. Like, I think Dearron Fox, you can probably leverage him into more superstar talent, I would imagine. Now, this I guess does make the Spurs a little bit deeper. Like, defensively speaking, Patrick Williams is a pretty solid defender. Offensively speaking, a little bit more limited. Uh but you know perhaps sort of how this team is heading and how this team is being built in San Antonio, having a defensive presence in Patrick Williams might not be a terrible idea. Now he’s somewhat expensive, so that’s a little bit questionable there. Uh but if you want some offense, too, Kevin Herder is a really good three-point shooter. So if you want to sort of surround WBY with some shooters, some catch and shoot guys in the corner, Kevin Herder is that guy. It’s always good getting draft capital as well. Likely nothing crazy uh based on the picks being four years down the road and five years down the road, respectively. So likely nothing crazy there. But uh yeah, my my immediate thoughts here is that from the Spurs perspective, a little bit underwhelming. Now from the Bulls perspective, um you know, not ter I guess sorry, I read the draft picks wrong. The 29 first round draft pick from the Bulls could actually be something special. So nothing crazy there. I take that back. But from the Bulls perspective, I understand this because they want to acquire talent, but truthfully speaking, I don’t think Tier Fox moves the needle that much. and just sort of how this team is heading. Like they are getting a little bit younger. They’re sort of building to the future a little bit and you kind of have to respect it. But Dear Fox would of course be the focal point of the franchise. I think having a back court next year of De’ar Fox and Kobe White could be pretty cool. Does it make the team a playoff team in the Eastern Conference potentially, but does it make them better in the long term? I don’t know. Especially in regards to a championship team, I don’t really think so in my personal opinion. So weird trade, underwhelming return with a potential good draft pick to the Spurs. But if I had to pick a winner, I’m going to go with the Bulls. I guess they are getting back the best player. Leave your thoughts.
