Brooklyn Nets TRADING Nic Claxton To The Charlotte Hornets? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Brooklyn Nets be trading away Nick Claxton to the Charlotte Hornets this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from uh fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Josh Green, the Charlotte Hornets receiving Nick Claxton, and the Brooklyn Nets receiving Dalton Connect, Grant Williams, Gabe Vincent, and a 2027 first round draft pick. So, very interesting three-team trade here proposed by Fadeaway Worlds. Uh, from the Lakers perspective, they are giving up quite a bit um in return for Josh Green. Now, Josh Green is only 24 years old. He’s a player that is getting better each and every season. And maybe they sort of view him as a player that can come off the bench, maybe over time develop into a starter, provide some good offense, provide some good defense, and just truthfully speaking be a solid contributor up and down this Lakers lineup. Now, do I 100% agree with the fact that they’re giving up a former first round draft pick, Dalton Connect, uh Gabe Vincent, you know, for someone like Josh Green? It’s tough to say because he is a little bit younger than Gabe Vincent. Obviously, um he’s kind of similar in age to Dalton Connect, but if you believe in Josh Green more so than Dalton Connect, the asking price relatively speaking, isn’t that crazy? And maybe they see some they see something that other teams don’t. So, if you sort of trust the Lakers pro uh pro um scouting department, this could be a great move. I guess only time will tell. Now, from the Hornets perspective, they’re getting back the biggest uh fish in this deal, that being Nick Claxton. Nick Claxton’s been talked about on the trade market for quite some time now. I actually do think that he will get ended up uh I guess he will, you know, end up being traded at some point. We saw that a couple weeks ago uh for with the Michael Porter Jr. Cam Johnson trade. Nick Claxton’s probably the next domino to fall and his value actually is relatively high. So if you’re a team out there looking for a starting caliber center, which the Hornets definitely should be, this could be a cool fit. If you pair him next to players like LaMelo Ball, um obviously Conneo, who they drafted this past NBA draft, and Brandon Miller, that’s a good young core in Charlotte to kind of hopefully take the next step as a franchise, make the playoffs next year, and maybe go on a bit of a run. So, I think, you know, the Hornets going for Nick Claxton. Good move on their behalf. Now, from the Brooklyn Nets’s perspective, I like this deal. All things considered, you’re getting back three assets. You know, a good young asset in Dalton Connect. uh two tradable assets later on or if you keep them for a playoff run, it works for that as well. And uh with Grant Williams and or sorry, from the Nets perspective, they’re getting back to connect. And if all goes well for them, Grant Williams, Gabe Vincent, but a first round draft pick. So I would imagine just kind of based on how this Nets team is built, uh players like Grant Williams and Gabe Vincent will be traded later on and flipped. But if you’re able to get draft capital for those, it’s a really good move for rebuilding teams. So, if I had to pick a winner for this deal, I’m going to go with the Hornets one, the Nets 2, the Lakers three. Leave your thoughts.
