But this trade would see the Sacramento Kings receiving Nick Claxton and the Brooklyn Nets receiving Tamar De Rozan, a 2027 first round draft pick from Charlotte and a 2027 second round draft pick. So, in my personal opinion, this could actually make quite a bit of sense for the Kings to consider. Now, Demar De Rozan has been rumored to be on the trademark this off season. The Kings have a good young core, not really a good young core, they have a good core right now of Sabonis, CL, Demar De Rozan, and Zack Lavine, but it didn’t really account to much last year. So, Demar De Rozan, especially being the age that he is, is a prime candidate to be traded this off season. And if they’re able to get a younger option, more of a front court option and kind of add to this core, you know, have a front court next year of Nick Claxton and Demanis Sabonis, I think Nick Claxton would be a perfect addition to this Kings team in my personal opinion. So, they capitalize on Demar De Rozan having a good season last year. He’s also an older player as well. They’re trading draft capital that doesn’t even belong to them. So, a bit of a gamble there, especially from Charlotte, but uh you never know if you want to compete for a championship. You’re not really worried about that kind of stuff. All you’re worried about is making your team better. And I think sort of how this Kings team is built, adding a player like Nick Claxton for an older player like Demar D Rozan makes a lot of sense in my opinion, especially given how stacked the Western Conference is next year. I think this I think this addition helps them, especially if there’s always the risk that Demar Rosen kind of regresses next year and he’s also getting older at the same time. So, not a bad idea here to sell when his value is pretty high and get back a good young player in return. Now, from the Nets perspective, think of this as more of a a rerouting spot for Demar Rosen. I think that if the Brooklyn Nets were to go out there and acquire Demar De Rozan for Nick Claxton, they’re really only doing so to make uh this trade a future trade later on. Accumulating some draft capital is a good um course of action here, like a 2027 first round draft pick from the Hornets, that could be a very good pick. Getting a second round draft pick as well is always good to have. But if you’re able to reroute someone like Demar D Rozan perhaps to a team out there, maybe retain some cap, whatever the case may be, this could allow the uh Sacramento or this could allow the Brooklyn Nets to acquire some more draft capital, continue on with the rebuild that way, which is what they probably should be doing is just adding more assets and more darts being thrown at the draft dart board. So, in my personal opinion, I think the winner of this deal to me would be the Sacramento Kings. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
