every single one of their core has to take a significant leap for them to get into contention. I don’t think that they can’t. Like I love Danny. I’m a big fan of Sharp. I think Klingan is going to be one of the best defensive bigs in the league, but I still think that they’re, you know, two to three years away from getting to the point where this is a core that can contend. I think that they could do it. Like I I actually am a fan of what Portland’s building, but it’s going to take more than a year or two for this to all come together. Yeah, that’s the problem is like you would need basically it’s not happening with Dame, man. Dame prime Dame and Drew on this team next year. What Portland fans are doing is they’re they’re taking their intangibles on 2K and making Scoot reach his potential, making Sharp reach his potential, Denny reaching that potent. Like the the path to contention is literally the best case scenario for every single one of their players, right? Is that going to happen? Probably not. Like like if we’re being honest with ourselves, it’s it it’s dependent on Scoot literally becoming that player that is the second best player from the Weby draft. That’s that’s what he was supposed to be. It’s Sharp turning into that ridiculous tough shot taker and maker, that high-flying T-Mac archetype. It’s Danny becoming that point forward. It’s Grant saying, “I’m retiring so you don’t have to worry about paying me.” It would have to so many things go right and so many things Portland has a history of not doing so right that I I just incline them not to believe in them as a path to contention.
