  1. It would be better for the lakers if he just leaves in free agency, I don't see teams willing to give up anything other than bad contracts in return

  2. so basically you want the team to have the option so they can rob players…without players there is no league..All players shud have player options in they contract if they smart

  3. So basically trevor wants the lakers to not do player options so the team can delay paying for a year? No wonder why the lakers can't get players to sign because they're stubborn

  4. can t wait for his next epic playoff choke…his 5th or 6th as a laker..his 1.8pt 4th quarter average against the Wolves should have sealed his Laker career

  5. Player options allow contenders to steal away players who are currently worth more than the contract that's being offered. By dangling that option, they can offer a little less than a player's market value. That's how the Lakers kept Reaves for so cheap, and how they lured Ayton to switch teams for less money. People have it backwards if they think player options hurt a contender.

  6. I really wish yall would stop bringing up this finishing 6th in MVP voting. This not a flex and we would never bring this up if it was someone else

  7. Really funny seeing all these Bron fans in the comments. Always feeling the need to defend him.
Any justified criticism or logical critique of him they jump in the comments swinging from his 🥜 calling everyone a hater. 😂

    What they don't realize is:

    – most all Laker fans (not LeBron fans, LAKER fans) acknowledge his greatness. But if they say 1 thing about him not being goat (or it being close) they lose their minds. 😂

    – on any given night he can still be the best player in the league. He can also on any given night still win you a game single handedly.
The problem is HE IS OVER 40 YRS OLD! (God bless him that he can still play at that age but) He cannot sustain this level at his age (it's obvious too, just watch). ESPECIALLY IN BACK TO BACKS or in a knockdown drag out 7 GAME SERIES in the playoffs when team needs it the most.
If any of you watched these last playoffs (conf finals and finals) and saw the physicality, exertion and pace of those games and think LBJ would be able to sustain best player or 2nd best player during those series you are not being genuine, you are just being a LeBron fan (and that's ok, just don't come for those that are looking at this logically and thru unfiltered eyes)

Bottom line is this LAKER fans are looking for championships.

We don't care about having the player that can still rack up numbers during the regular season. Get his highlights played on ESPN and all over social media.

We want our 50+mil player to be able to carry us to championships.

Problem with Bron comes from his own mouth when he answered the question of whether he has anything left to prove, he said NO! 😮
Any player still playing the game should never say that and if that's his feeling then he should retire. I can't think of any other great player that would have or did say during their career that they have nothing to prove.

And what you younger fans have no idea of is that Kobe faced alot of the same criticism:
    – at the end when Lakers signed him to that large salary cap draining contract for last 3 yrs or so.
    – prior to the Pau trade when he was putting up numbers but the team was terrible, Kobe took most of the blame for that.

So this is not about Laker fans hating on your boy. This is about Laker fans justifiably being about CHAMPIONSHIPS.

And the fact stands that LeBron getting paid 50+ mil at this stage of his career and his lack of ability to sustain the level needed drastically hinders the Lakers chances of competing for and winning it all.
This is not 2012 when you could have 2-3 stars and some bums and get to the finals or compete for it.
Teams are loaded, deep, with young and talented 2way players.

This is why LeBron opting into that contract was detrimental to the teams chances ultimately of trying to get as deep, young and athletic with 2 ways as the other contenders.

Ok… Bron bot farms (you know they're out there)… Do your thing with this post. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  8. A lot of these player options are just security for the player. The Lakers never could have signed Austin Reaves to a four-year contract for example. His intention was always to his unrestricted free agency year and cash in. He would have been worth a whole lot more when he signed that contract in the 2023 offseason if any team could have paid him.

Same thing goes for these guys you get like Ayton or Smart. These guys both intend to play well enough to leave next year for more money because the Lakers can't afford them. Given the center market, Ayton just has to play somewhat competently to get double his current value. But sometimes things don't work out for the player, or they get injured, so they leverage their cheap contract that several times would be happy to pay with at least a little guarantee that if they get injured or something, they'll still get paid the next year. Christian Wood is an example of that. Cheap contract that was low-risk, high reward for a player of his level. But he got hurt, so he used his player option.

  9. Why won't the Lakers go after Cam Reddish again? He had a family situation last year so he ended up getting waived. Being that we need some defensive wings, I'd give him another shot to see how it works out.

  10. Stop lying if the Lakers didn't offer lebum James a contract extension this year wy would they want to bring lebum James back next year 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  11. Real la Lakers team fans never wanted lebum James on the team in the first place and we don't want him on the team now
