Now, this trade to me is pretty intriguing because I do think both players, Cam Thomas and Anthony Simons are on the trade block this off season, but for different reasons. So, from the Celtics perspective, them acquiring Camp Thomas to me doesn’t seem like something that they’re actually going to be doing this off season. The Celtics want to cut their payroll, and they did so by, of course, trading away Drew Holiday. They traded away uh Chris Porzingis, and that’s even how they landed in Anthony Simons in the first place. So Cam Thomas who wants a big-time deal on his next contract. I don’t think that’s going to be happening from the Boston Celtics. So why would the Celtics give up on a relatively, you know, young player in Anthony Simons making about 20 something million bucks for someone like Cam Thomas who’s hoping for like 30 40 plus million dollars next year and for the foreseeable future. So they know Cam Thomas pretty well. They’re a well-round organization. I don’t see them making this deal for Cam Thomas even if a couple draft picks are involved. Now could this be the case? maybe some first round picks were involved. Yeah, maybe this changing things a little bit, but as this offer currently stands, I don’t think the Celtics would do this deal. Now, from the Brooklyn Nets perspective, they they probably would. Now, I think Cam Thomas is a very valuable player in regards to what he does well, and that scores the basketball. I do think his statline’s a little bit um overstated and I do think that teams around the NBA would probably sort of agree with that just based on what his contract negotiations currently look like with the Brooklyn Nets. They’re only offering about $14 million per year and he wants to get paid like a 30 $40 million guy. So obviously the two sides are pretty far apart. So if the Brooklyn are able to get rid of that and get back a, you know, an expiring contract in Anthony Simons, but perhaps if he were to go to Brooklyn, play pretty well, maybe they give this guy contract that they think that he’s actually worth. So intriguing trade. I don’t think it happens with either side. If I had to pick a winner, I’m going to go with the Brooklyn Nets. But as always, leave your thoughts.
