the issue in the nba is the goat debate spans different generations, many people werent even old enough to remember MJ saying bron is the goat, and many old heads who are biased towards old school basketball will say MJ is the goat. I think in soccer/football, the goat debate was more interesting, as two of the guys who were considered: ronaldo/messi were direct rivals for their whole careers and played against each other in the same era, but mj and lebron never had rivals that came close in their own era. It is entirely subjective, and the only people who can make an argument are those who follow basketball from MJ to lebron.
