NBA LIVE! Los Angeles Lakers vs Orlando Magic | July 27, 2025 | Lakers vs Magic | 2K25
has been about the impact of the back court and that’s where it all starts. When you have a confident and confident back court, it just opens up a lot of things for you offensively. And now the Lakers starting group in it forward for him. It’s James and Hachimura. Austin Reeves out there with Donic and it’s in at the five home in the paint. So the Orlando Magic able to put the first points up on the board. He can’t get that one. That’s a surprise. I mean really out of character for him to miss when the defense is not right up on him. And it’s Zuggs missing. Felakers on offense. [Applause] Hatchima kicks to Donic to the paint and he makes no mistake on the slam dunk. Lucas peripheral vision off the charts. get wide open and he’s going to find you. And the latest now from our sideline reporter, David Aldridge. David, it’s all yours. Take it away. I briefly spoke with Jamal Mosley. Of course, they know they have their work cut out for them with LeBron on the court. He told me James hasn’t really lost a step. He’s a constant problem out there. So, I’m ready to try anything, including just throwing extra bodies at him. Of course, that probably means some double teams in LeBron’s immediate future, guys. Okay, David. Much appreciated. Now here’s LeBron after the miss from Desmond Bane. And that one’s good by LeBron. No question James is the green light from anywhere. That that mid-range is just another area where he’s dangerous. Now here’s Bane. Van Carol has screened for Bane and finished off by Ben Carroll. And he can time his passes so perfectly. Wow. What an assist. And about two minutes played here in the first quarter. Eightton the pass to Donic. Some nice passing here by Los Angeles. Eighton a screen on Suggs. Donic kicks to Himura. Six on the shot clock. Eighton sets the pick for Reeves and Aton throws it down. Impressive at using the pick and roll. Payton slips well to the basket after setting that screen. Carter outside [Applause] and a little over two and a half minutes gone here in the first and it’s Van Carol missing. The defense ready for him on that possession. They had to be cuz he is so strong in the paint. Suggs against Donic. Takes a three. It’s good. He makes his first shot of the game. You know, if Luca wants the three-point shot, he just takes it. No hesitation. And we’ve got a timeout called by Jamal Mosley. He’s made the decision. He wants to huddle up with his guys. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] And in this first quarter, about 3 minutes played. One thing about the Lakers, Clark, over the last couple seasons, they get themselves to the free throw line. Yeah. And a lot of that is due to the fact they’ve got some real creators in their lineup. guys who can attack off the dribble at multiple positions from multiple angles and that creates pressure for the defense. Now here’s Donic. Rendell Carter unable to get his last shot to go. Donic kicks to Himura on deep breeds and the Lakers hit again from deep and the instincts there from Hachimura. Notice the overcommitment by the defense and then makes the right pass. Suggs dishes to Carter. Pass to Vagner. [Applause] Bane against Reeves. Carter with a screen on Reeves. Bane for three. The Magic again can’t hit. And it’s the Lakers ball. They’ve got a 122 run in progress. Oh, in position. an emphatic LU jam. Their play on both ends has been superb. We We’ll see if they can maintain the momentum. And you know, nothing like getting an opponent on the ropes early. You love that if you’re on that side of the scoreboard. And they are landing some haymakers now. And Jamal Mosley has called timeout. He wants to regroup and go over the strategy. [Applause] Here’s Van Carol. [Applause] lays it up and in on the nice reverse. Oh, the defense puts contact on Ban Carol inside, but he just bullies right through it. [Applause] James looking around. Some nice passing here by Los Angeles. Down to five on the shot clock. Here’s Donic. Rebound by the Magic. And Carol outside. [Applause] Carter sets the pick for Ban Carroll. Lays it up and banks it in. Ban Carol’s got six. Excellent work in the screen and roll. Bonero solid at knowing when to shoot in those sets. Eightton a screen on Bane to the inside and the bucket on the assist by Reeds. Six points for DeAndre Aton. The Magic trail by eight. [Applause] Suggs with the ball defended by Reed. Good on the shot. Boy, that’s just the toughness basket by Suggs right there. Remember now, this young man was an all state football player in high school. [Applause] James sets the screen for Donic and a miss there on the triple. And so it’s Bane who brings up the ball for the Orlando Magic. Pass to Vagner and Carol outside. Played in with a nice touch off the glass. Eight points for him. And the paint is where you love to watch Carol work with his size and athleticism. He can attack so effectively inside. Here’s Reeds. He has five off target with his three. Frank, everything they’re doing is working right now. Good run they have going right now. The momentum is huge. Oh, Eaton in position. lays it in off the pretty alley. And the passing instincts of James are just unreal. He has that great sense for when and where to send the ball. Now here being the bounce pass inside again and Ben Carroll and the follow. Yeah. And that’s a pure hustle play getting to the offensive glass for the tip. And that’s the kind of quality you see in any strong offensive rebounder, isn’t it? Definitely. You’re not going to make plays like that unless you expend the energy. Here’s Donic. Holo Banker making his last shot. Pass to Hatchima. The shots good on the assist by Donic. And the Lakers lead by seven. And we know Hachimura has a confident personality. You see it there with the rise and fire approach. Nice. Now here is Carter. Nothing on the board [Applause] to the middle. It’s tipped and that one clearly a foul. Gives the whistle and two shots coming up. It’s on Fron Vagner and really Clark. Luca Donuch is a oneman wrecking crew on the offensive end of the floor. Yeah, he really is. But I mean, he’s special. His IQ, his size, the way he can make shots against tough defense. He’s got the lean back. He’s got the crafty moves. And I think he’s a lot stronger and a little more athletic than people give him credit for being. I mean, without a doubt, he’s one of the most unique and best players that we’ve seen in the game. That one is off. You know, one of the things I like about watching Donic is the pace he plays at. You’re not going to speed him up. He plays at his pace, the pace he dictates. Catching up on the changes for Orlando. Isaac’s checked in for Vak and it’s Anthony Black in for Jaylen SS. The Lakers also changing it up. Arabius checked in and it’s Gabe Vincent in for Austin Reeds and he’s good on the second. And Greg, the way Orlando ended last season, that’s really fueled their fire for this year. Yeah. I mean, a tough loss to Cleveland in game seven of the opening round, but it’s hard to win in this league without first incurring some battle stars. Beyond the leaning, you could see his feet more set on that screen. Easy call. Yeah, I agree. You know, sometimes that can be a tough call for the refs to make, but not that time. It was easy there. Now, here’s a eight. No one near James as he lets it go off line with his three. The Magic trail by eight outside Bane. Here’s Ben Carroll. Hits the three-point foul. Ban Carol’s got 13. And this is the type of go-to score this team wants Bon Carroll to be. They love his confidence. James with it. And it’s Curtis picking him up. We passed year 20 for LeBron James. Clark, how is he still doing this? Well, I’d love to find out, but he’s got a combination of remarkable DNA and obviously a tremendous work ethic and attention to detail and taking care of his body, but some of it is it’s a blend of um good fortune and a lot of hard work. But he’s played at a level at his age that I never thought I’d see in basketball. It’s different in other sports, but to do what he’s doing on the court is amazing. Look, the physicality has always stood out with LeBron. It’s been obvious, but his basketball IQ is what makes him such a special special player. I mean, he sees the game like very few ever have. And both free throws good for LeBron. And LeBron the only player to reach 40,000 points in his career. Clark, you’re shaking your head. It’s incredible, isn’t it? Absolutely remarkable, Kevin. And I did not think I would see it in my lifetime. 40,000 points. Just the sound of that is ridiculous. And you know, he not only has lived up to the height that has followed him since he was 15 years old, he’s actually exceeded it, Kevin, which is crazy. And here is Donic after Jonathan Isaac hitting the three. And that one is good. Six points for him. You know, as I watch Dantic, I think it’s feudal to try to distract this guy. His focus and concentration and control of himself is excellent. Now, here’s Bane. He has yet to score. Back to Van Carol and stolen by LeBron. Tight. Pass to Eightton. Aton controls the rebound and puts it back up and in. And the Lakers lead by eight. And this is why you got to put a body on A when you don’t. He torches you with the put back. Van Carol draws the double. [Applause] Here’s Black for the three and it’s LeBron James with the rebound. Down low. Raian fouled on the shot and picks up two points. So, one free throw coming up. I I like their focus coming in. Terrific execution so far. And you know, it’s an allout effort. They’ve come in with very aggressive offense so far. Catching up on the changes for Orlando. Mo Vagner’s checked in for Wendell Carter. Fron Vagner comes in for Ban Carol and Jones subbed in for Bane. And then for Los Angeles, Vanderbilt’s checked in for DeAndre Aton. Kette comes in for James. And it’s Austin Reeds in for Luca Donuch. And that one misses. And Clark for the Lakers. The last two seasons ended in playoff losses to the Denver Nuggets. And I tell you what, they fought hard both times, Kevin. The point differential was only 24 points over the four games in 2023 and just 11 points in 2024. LA actually led most of the five game series, but weren’t able to advance. Let’s check in with our reporter, David Aldridge. Kevin, thanks. Last season, the Magic retired the first jersey number in their franchise’s history. That of our esteemed colleague and Hall of Famer, Shaquille O’Neal. Orlando’s number one pick back in 1992. Jack went on to lead them to their first NBA Finals appearance in 1995. The honor is welld deserved, Kevin. Yep. He’s our teammate, isn’t he, David? We love him as a guy and we love him as a player. Here’s connect after the magic pick up too. Pass to Vanderbilt. Lakers in the ball around now. [Music] Reeves with it. Working on black and it’s going to be a 24second shot clock violation. They turn it over. The Magic trail by six. And here’s Vagner. Still scoreless. That one off the back iron and out. [Applause] Benson with it. Working on Jones and stolen by Vagner. 4 seconds separating the shot and game clocks. Isaac with a screen for Vogner. Off target from three-point range. Here’s Connect. He’s covered by Isaac. Pass to Labraia. Here’s Connect. Fires from way outside. And no good that time. And that does it for the first quarter. Lakers lead by six. Stay with us as we get set to bring you the second quarter right after this. [Applause] And if you’re just joining us, we’ve played through one quarter in this one. Now, let’s take a moment to get your guys take on the scoring so far for the Lakers. And guys, I love the movement. Doing a great job of just getting the ball on a string, creating some opportunities. You know, something else is working for him is the three-point shooting. I mean, they’ve done some damage early on from behind the arc. [Applause] Lakers leading by six. So on the floor for the Lakers to start this second quarter, they’ve got Gabe Vincent. He’s out there with Austin Reed. Connect out there with Jared Vanderbilt. And it’s Lorravia in at the force slot. Gets the shot he wants. The defense wasn’t quite connected enough. They lost contact. Jones finds Isaac. Vanderbilt against Vagner. Vodner with a screen for Vagner. And finished off by Vagner. And not only does he get all the way to the rim in traffic, but how about he goes to the reverse. You got to be kidding me. That was awesome. No, that was outstanding, guys. Here’s Reeves [Applause] and it’s going to be out of bounds. The Magic will take it. Second quarter of basketball. About one minute played so far. [Applause] Jones up top. Defended by Vincent. Vagner passes to Jones. Every year, Greg, we get a new batch of rookies into the NBA and sometimes we’re all guilty of judging them too early. Oh, absolutely. I think we need probably three years to evaluate a player. You know, fans and media can can be a little harsh at times, but not everybody develops at the same rate. [Applause] And he makes the first and Orlando making a change here. Suggs is checked in. Hatchim is checked in for Los Angeles. [Applause] so he hits one of two from the strike. Lakers leading by six. [Applause] Benson with it. No scoring in this one. And he could not get that one to go. out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two and really the defense fouling there to prevent the layup, but that’s exactly what you need to do. It is. I mean, no reason to back off and give him the layup. I mean, much better off making him go to the line. [Applause] First free throw is good. Jonathan Isaac, he’s checked in for Jones. [Applause] And so Vincent nails both of them. And that’s another area where he is just a superb player. Excellent at the free throw line. Back the pass to Isaac. [Applause] The shot comes out. Good work defensively by Hatchim. Los Angeles leading by eight. Reeves the pass to Vincent. And here is Vanderbilt. Lets it go from deep. And it’s Rabia mission. Quarter number two. We’re about two minutes in. Here’s Vagner. on that one. Good. Just punishing the defense from the interior. Vagner doesn’t mind scoring against physical defense. [Applause] Reeves against Suggs. Here’s Laura. Hangs home the trifecta. Lorav has got five now. And the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick. He lays there. Good on that shot. And with that, the Los Angeles Le now to just seven on the bucket. Bruce Sus. And JJ Reick is called. Timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with this team. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] We’re just over two and a half minutes into the second quarter. Aimura with a screen on Suggs. No one near Reeves as he lets it go and all around the rim that time before dropping in. Whatever the defense gives, that’s what he takes. A sign of a skilled offensive player. Wagner outside. Here’s Isaac. And not a good shot for him. They can get better looks than that. Los Angeles leading by nine. Reeves. The pass to Labraia. [Applause] That one doesn’t drop. Nice defense from Vodner. Reeves against Suggs. Vagner outside. Trains it from beyond the arc. Vagner’s got five points so far. Vagner always a threat from downtown. And I love the efficiency and solid mechanics of his shooting stroke. GA when you look at the development of France Vagner, what now is the next step for him? Kevin, for me it’s the three-point shooting specifically becoming more efficient out there. And I also think he’s going to have to become a better passer ball move. I got total confidence he’ll get there because the rest of his game is complete. The Lakers have gone 50% from the floor in the second quarter. Three of six. Vincent the pass to Reeds. Vanderbilt a screen on Suns. Pass to Himura. Six to shoot and it’s sent back by Isaac. What a wingspan Isaac has. I mean, this guy is incredible at denying shots and he loves to do it. Agner kicks to SS and the basket for the fourth time from the field. He’s a healthy four for six. I mean the number of points they’ve scored in the paint already here is eye opening. Pass to Labraia [Applause] against Isaac down low. The Lakers need to get a shot off here and stolen by Vagner. Oh, and here we go. Isaac’s got the fast break chance and the shot goes down. Now with just a two-point Laker lead, man, I like Isaac’s mobility. Love it. This guy gets down the floor extremely well. And he has a sense of where he should go to get a scoring opportunity, too. And JJ Reick calls timeout here. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Alo Beros checked in for the magic. Bane comes in for black. The Lakers also making some changes. James comes in for Vanderbilt and Donic is subbed in for Vincent. [Applause] And so Donic will bring it up for Los Angeles. They’ve led by as much as 10. [Applause] Back to Reeves trying to end the drought. That’s good from Donic on the assist by Reeves. Reeves has got three assists tonight. Outside Bane a three ball and it’s Labraia with the rebound. Los Angeles leading by five. Anage passes to Labraia. Here’s Hatchima. Reeves in the corner. Back to Himura. Four on the clock. Nice ball movement here by the Lakers. Near the three-point line, it’s Donuch. And Desmond Bane pulls it down. Pass to Suggs. Now Vagner. [Applause] Suggs with the ball. Vagner with a screen for Suggs. Brown finished off by Vogner. Those plays can make a difference in a game like this. Well, you know it’s going to fire up Greg. Everybody on that bench making a statement for sure. I mean, we’ll see if they can maintain that aggressive approach, guys. Reeves fires James and it’s off from three-point range. The Magic trail by three. Vodner right side. Back to Ban Carol and out of bounds as the Lakers gain possession. Blacks checked in for the Magic and the Lakers also making a change. Vanderbilts checked in for Austin Reeds. [Applause] Los Angeles leading by three outside Jam and the whistle blows. It’s going to be on Jaylen Suggs. That’ll be his second foul of the game. And now let’s take a look again at that incredible rejection. Sharp instincts on D there. Just timing when to rise up and swap that one away. Connect. He’s checked in for Los Angeles. [Applause] Back to Himura. The three for Dunic and it’s Bugner with the rebound. Buger’s got rebound number five here tonight. Hatchima against Van Carol. Just five to shoot and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. That’s on LeBron James. And Venero doesn’t back down from anyone, which is why he’s able to draw those fouls. The Magic have shot two free throws and they’re one of two so far. [Applause] He misses the free throw. From rookie of the year in 2023 to an All-Star Greg in 2024, Paulo Ban Carol. And Kevin, that really says it all, doesn’t it? Few players hit the ground running like Banero has. Becoming an elite competitor people fear almost instantly. And the Magic making a change here. Vad’s checked in. The future is shining bright for Banero. He’s a multiaceted big guy who could really, I think, be the centerpiece of an organization. Now here is Himura. Back to Donic front pass the arc. The rebound by Vatazic. Just enough coverage to bother that three-point attack. Suggs against Donic. Here’s Beno. A shot goes down to gets this game back to even. Banero’s got 16. And this is what everyone wants to see. Bonerro is attacking without hesitation on the offensive end. Inside. Here’s Verbilt. And the dunk by Vanderbilt. Oh, and he went for the two-hander on the slam. Using some muscle, some urgency from him there. Sure. I get the feeling, guys, that he may be sensing that this is a critical time in this game. And we’ve got a timeout called by Jamal Mosley. Wants to talk some things over. Might be seeing some things to adjust. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Los Angeles making us rich here. Hayes has checked in [Applause] and it’s the Magic with the ball trailing by two. Pass to Suggs. [Applause] score the bucket. He’s made five so far, shooting a very clean five of seven. Hey, you can see that former football player mentality and history on display with Suggs. He is fearless. Now, here’s Donic. Nine points in the game so far. To the paint. Here’s Murray. Rebound by the Magic. Vanero’s got four rebounds now tonight. to the middle. Suggs in the corner, sinks the triple. And now a three-point Orlando lead. And as we see Suds develop his game, you’ll see more of this Jaylen with the ability to operate off ball. Now here’s Donic. Connect. The shots good on the assist by Donic. Donic has got four assists now tonight. Orlando’s gone two of four from three-point range so far in the second quarter. Outside Bane, [Applause] pass to Suggs and again it’s Orlando with the three. Shooting in good rhythm there. Suggs off the catch and shoot. Nicely done. Lakers trail by four. Donic kicks to Hatchima. We’ve got 155 left to play in the first half. LeBron passes to Donic. A Donic very comfortable down low. Luca is a massive guard. He can do damage inside just as easily as outside. Bing the bounce pass. Hang with the steel. Pass to Jenkins. Nice passing here by Los Angeles to the inside. Here’s connect. Well timed pass and he goes straight to the bucket for the layup. Connects got it all tied up now for the Lakers. Here’s Black James covering. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. You got for us DA Kevin? Thank you. Paulo Beno is not skipping steps. Magic superstar says it’s not anything in life, it’s a process. Having that perspective just makes you want to work every day because this is the best league in the world. If you become impatient, you’re going to drive yourself crazy. It’s a cliche, Kevin, but you just keep pounding away. Back to you. Well said, David. Dedication to the craft, PA. Thanks. And that one falls. That puts him up by one point. Orlando making some changes. Rendale Carter, he’s checked in for Koga Betag. And Vagner subbed in for Black. And then for the Lakers, Aton, he’s checked in for Jackson Hayes. And it’s Austin Reeves in for Connect. Kachimura hits them both. [Applause] Orlando’s gone to the three-pointer 11 times tonight. Nailed five of them. Bango outside. Donic against Suggs. Tried to bank it in, but he misses. And so it’s Donic with it. He brings it up for the Los Angeles Lakers. Bane with the steel. 36 seconds left in the first half. He takes it in. goes to the reverse layup and pops it in. Beautiful reverse using his body to shield the finish. Nicely done. Reeves outside launches a three and it’s Bner with the rebound. Orlando’s gone three beyond the arc since the start of the second quarter. Pass to Ban Carols one up and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Rui Himura picks one up. Got to be smarter and tougher than this defensively. You can’t give Van Carol deep positioning like there. [Applause] And the first one drops. You know, once in a while a guy will come into the league and just hit the ground running. And Carol was a star from the first week. [Applause] And he makes both free throws. Now here’s Donic. He’s got 11 over Suggs. And again, no good by the Lakers. And a close game so far through the first two quarters as we reach halftime. Magic out in front leading by just two. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by Courtzside. David, thanks a lot. LeBron, what adjustments did they make to slow you guys down in the second quarter? I mean, it’s a good team. It’s a really good team and they executed in the second quarter, made shots, and uh got to rhythm. So, we’ll see who wins the second half. Thanks. Back to you, Kevin. All right, David. Thank you. And stay with us, folks. We’ll be back just after halftime to get the third quarter started. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] And as we get into this third quarter, as we’ve seen so far, neither team able to create much separation on the scoreboard yet. You know, Paulo Banero guys has been exceptional. He’s done a fantastic job of finding open space to operate with within the first few quarters. And you know what? It helped that they had a few guys with very hot hands on the perimeter, too. [Applause] The Lakers trail underneath in the post. It’s Berrow and Carter Jr. Jaylen Suggs is out there with Desmond Bane. And it’s Vagner in at the small forward position. That’s the group starting the second half for Jamal Mosley. Prince the three-pointer. Hatchima’s got eight points. Just solid with the jump shot. Hachimura helps your offense in a number of ways. In that case, spacing the floor. Suggs with a screen for Bane. And it’s Berrow. Drop the key. Rebound the Lakers. LeBron’s got four rebounds in this game. Clark, I know you’d agree Paulo Vancero has certainly lived up to the hype being a number one overall pick. Yeah, you know, I loved him when he was in college. Loved his size, his athleticism, his IQ, his tenacity. I mean, I don’t think there’s anything on the floor that he can’t do. Now, here’s Suns after LeBron James’s miss. And it’s Van Carol missing. Reeves outside. [Applause] on the wing. Donic uses the glass to finish the layup. And now a three-point Los Angeles lead. I know Danton takes pride in being able to produce for his team and he’s doing it at a high level here. There’s the lob the corner outside for Orlando moving the ball tracks in the tray. Pays got the game tied up here for the National. And you’re asking for more trouble than you can handle if you’re going to let him just roam free from beyond the arc. The three for Donic. Rebound by Carlo Banker. Banker’s got rebound number seven for him tonight over James. Pull the shot a little, but the bounce goes his way. Oh, good to see that Garo has options. If he can’t penetrate, your game has to be multifaceted in the lead. Reeves against Bane. Oh, LeBron’s just too strong inside. That’s the kind of aggressive and assertive play they need as we get closer and closer to crunch time. Here’s Ben. It’s hauled in by Los Angeles. Just over 2 and 1/2 minutes gone by here in the second half. Shoots over Vagner. Rebound by the Magic. And Carol’s got rebound number eight now on the night. Stolen by Reeves, jumps up. LeBron right to the finish. Boy, there’s nothing quite like LeBron on the fast break. That combination of size, strength, and speed makes him electric. bounce pass from Van Carol. The Magic again can’t hit the Lakers in the lead. Pass to Hatchima [Applause] now. And too much time in the lane. They get called for the 3second violation. Boy, in a game this snug, you can afford to commit those kinds of turnovers. [Applause] Orlando’s gone six of 14 with the three ball tonight. Just a little over 40%. [Applause] Wagner outside. Suggs looking around the three. The Magic again can’t hit. And here’s James. He’ll bring it up for the Lakers. Since halftime, they’ve only allowed five points. And when Pachamura is looking to score, it sometimes forces the D to get aggressive. Love the energy. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. [Applause] And that one falls for Hachimura. [Applause] and good on the second. So he makes them both in the third quarter with just over three and a half minutes off the clock. Pass to Suggs [Applause] against Bane Carol outside Bane. No good on the triple. Lakers leading by four down low and Aton throws it down. And the impressive reach of a lob it up his way and he’ll take care of the rest. Bango outside hits it from three-point range. Bango’s got five points now to support him. Not too much respect shown to him by the defenders. outside pass to James over Suns and good and it takes a nice bounce off the right iron and down. You know, LeBron’s not really known for his quick trigger, but showing you right there that he does have catch and shoot ability. And we’ve got a timeout called by Jamal Mosley. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. on the inbound and finished off by Vagner. No mercy shown to the rack there. Vagner with the filthy throw down. Los Angeles leading by three. Donic kicks to James. Back to Donic. Pass to Hitchima. Good. And the assist goes to Donic. Donic has got assist number eight here in this one already. The Magic have gone a somewhat so far. Four of 10 on their shots in the second half so far. Van Carol up top. [Applause] Bane with it from downtown and it’s Eaton with the rebound. Dayton’s got 11 rebounds in the game [Applause] and gets double team count it and now an eight-point Laker lead and the allaround offensive game Aiden has is just fantastic. Capable of scoring in many different ways. Now here’s Vagner. Seven points in the game and then Carter with the jam and way to finish and cut into that lead a little bit and but look at the the basket guy still shaking. Well, I tell you what, he loaded up as much power as he could behind that two-hander. And here’s Donic from the arc connects from three-point range. Donic has got five points in the quarter. [Applause] Outside Bane Suggs screen on Reeves. Bane passes to car and Carol outside and they wasted no time getting those three points back and Carol’s got 26. And he’s got a nice fluid motion on his long range shots. I think Monero will be a consistent three-point shooter at the NBA level. Here’s Reeves. He’s got seven. Here’s Donic. That’s good. It’s his seventh made basket in 14 trials. And really the story of this second half, one team getting the shots they want. The other not so much. And that’s why you have such a huge gap in the shooting numbers between the teams. Hagner finds Suggs and Carow screen for Suggs. lets a floater go. It’s rebounded by Donuch. Lakers leading by eight. And Clark, it’s hard to compare Luca Donuch to any other player we’ve seen before. I would certainly agree with that. Ditto to that, Kevin, because he is unique. His pace is never hurried. He never gets rattled. He complains to officials a little bit more than I’d like to see, but he’s strong. He’s got great touch and feel, and he scores at all three levels, and he’s a brilliant passer. Good work by Vagner there taking advantage of a point blank opportunity. Reeves against Suggs on the wing. Donic. Aimura kicks to LeBron. Lakers passing it around. Lock at six. Fires for three. And it’s Orlando with the rebound. Bane with it. Now guarded by Eaton. Bane passes to Bogner. Now here is Carter. A kick out to Bane. Oh good with the triple. Not quite enough defense that time around. Just lucky he was off. James strong inside. What a move by James. He’s so good at creating his own shot. He’s just got an endless supply of moves. LeBron James. Carter finds Ban Carol. It’s in there. Carter with the assist. And that’s now 28 points for Paulo Banger. I like the play call. Very solid. Making perfect use of the pick to get a great look. Pass to Hatchima. Oh, Eightton in position. And it’s out of bounds. Nice touch by Donic. And that’s just carelessness there. I mean, you have got to have your head in the game. So for the Magic, Mo Vagner’s checked in for Carter. Jonathan Isaac comes in for Bane and Black’s subbed in for subs. Here’s Black. [Applause] Pass to Van Carol. Elbow shot is on the way and it’s in. After a nice bounce off the right side, Vancuro’s got 12 points here in the second half [Applause] now. Donic, he’s got 18. Donic converts right through the defense. Boy, such a soft release on this difficult shot. Donic is a master at knowing how and when to use that shot. Black kicks to Ban Carol. [Applause] Isaac with a screen for Ban Carroll and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up and some stats here, guys. The scoring breakdown for Los Angeles. The three-pointers and how well they’re able to shoot them. You wonder if they can keep it up. And boy, have they. And another thing they’ve been exceptional at is their passing. On target ball movement has gotten them a lot of assists tonight [Applause] and he knocks down the first one. And you know, right now for me it’s all about confidence as it relates to Isaac. I mean, this guy has the tools to be special. I think he just needs to be more consistent. [Applause] [Applause] He’s off on the second. Lakers leading by five. Reeves outside. [Applause] 151 left in the third. Shot clock at five. Pass to Labraia. Donic right side. Bank shot. No good. And not allowing the shooter even an inch of breathing room on that one. And guys, that’s exactly the kind of high impact defense they want to see out of him. And it’s Vagner missing. And Reeves has got the ball here for the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ve led by as much as 10. [Applause] On the wing, Donic. It’s hauled in by the Magic. Vagner’s got seven rebounds in the game. Isaac finds Vagner. Knocked away. Stolen by Reeves. Here’s Donic. The shot misses. Isaac with some nice deep. The Magic Trail by five. Here’s Vagner. Banked in off the glass. Vagner’s got 11 points. And when he breaks out the crossover, you can be sure he’s going to leave somebody in his wake. Reeves outside. Pass to Labraia to the wing on the left. Vanderbilt setting the pick for connect Los Angeles with another miss. Well, Orlando shooting has been just great so far. Up at 56% and Carol outside back to Black. Fodner a screen on Vanderbilt. Black no good. Gets it off. Unable to get that one. We’re at the end of the third and we’ve still got a close one. Lakers lead by three. Don’t go anywhere. The final quarter is coming up next on 2K Sports. And now we have a moment to reveal our State Funk assist of the game. And the definition of teamwork right there, guys. I mean, what great communication between them and what a beautiful feat for me. Next to the big time alley oops and monster throwd downs. Passes like that are probably the next best thing when it comes to sweet looking NBA highlights. Three quarters behind us. One more to go. Thanks for being with us as we begin the fourth. So the Lakers five right now. We’ve got Jared Vander. James is out there with Vincent. Then it’s Rui Himemer and it’s Lorravia in at the small forward. And here is Los Angeles now following the bucket by Orlando. Pass to Hatchima. [Applause] Clock at four. Benson with it. He’s covered by Suns. Vincent misses. Orlando trailing here. Here’s Suggs. Isaac outside. Bane looking around. Here’s Suggs and it goes down. Two points. Suggs has got 20 points. So, it’s handling his business so far in this one. Really putting the work in on the offensive end. And here is James. Pass to Hatchim. Isaac with the steel. Suggs against LeBron. Out to the right wing. Here’s Black. Gets it to go from beyond the ar. Black’s got the lead up to four now for the National. Defensively, you can’t back off him that much. You don’t want to give up easy threes at this stage of the game. Back to Himura and the dump by Himura and proving to be effective around the rim. Hatimora leaving no doubt about that. Bane passes to Suggs. Orlando moving the ball around. Wagner left side to the paint and it hit it throws it down. Well, nice finish that time by Isaac. Power and athleticism on that dunk. LeBron against Bane over Bane. That one’s good. And the Magic lead is cut down to just two points from the bucket from LeBron. And that’s right in his wheelhouse. Looking to make an impact when it counts. You know, they want the ball in his hands here because they trust him to hit all the big shots. That one goes count it. Suggs has got the lead back up to four now for the Magic. Boy, I like Suggs knocking down that mid-range jump shot. That’s what the defense gave him. Make him pay for it. Pass to Hatchima. [Applause] Shoots over Isaac. Isaac with some nice deep. Orlando leading by four. Suggs with the ball. It’s black top of the key. Hatchima grabs the miss. Here’s Lorabia. Back to Hatchima. Benson finds Hatchima inside. Benson misses. The Magic have gone five of seven from the field since the beginning of the fourth. Strong work at that end of the floor. Pass to Vagner. Here’s the three. Hit Mura grabs the miss. Lakers trail by four. [Applause] up top for Vanderbilt. Here’s Larabia. Guarded by Bane. Shot clock at three. LeBron, no good. Orlando’s gone one or two from three-point range here in the fourth. Bane kicks to Suggs and the shot is good. Suggs has got eight here in the quarter and that’s just cold blooded right there. He’s taking no prisoners. Guys, when you’re this hot, it’s elementary. Let it fly. Keep staying at it. Good on that shot. And with that, the Magic Lead is cut down to four points. The basket there from LeBron. Aar outside to the left wing. Now, here’s Suggs guarded close and oh, that was close. He draws the foul. He’ll shoot two. And the future Suggs has is certainly promising. An effective combo guard who can really get it going at times. And a chance for just a second to check out the scoring breakdown for the Magic. Well, you know, for me, the passing has been fantastic all night. Everybody loves watching this style of basketball where the ball moves and players move, coaches, fans, and even us broadcasters can appreciate that kind of action. And we also got to talk about the damage they’ve done inside. The opposition having a hard time keeping that ball out of the paint. Orlando making some changes. Carter, he’s checked in for Vagner. Van Carol comes in for Jonathan Isaac. And it’s Fran Vagner in for Bane. And then for the Lakers, DeAndre Aton’s checked in for Vanderbilt. Austin Reeves comes in for James. And Luca Donuch subbed in for Gabe Vincent. [Applause] No free throws good from Suns. Lakers trail by six. Reeves outside. Back to Donic. Unloads. Rebound by Carlo Banker. Defense made an impact right there. Definitely got him uncomfortable going up with it. Wagner out zone. Back to Van Carol. Shot clock at six. Carter sets the pick for Van Carol and he hits it just before the shot clock expires. Vanero’s got the lead up to eight now for Orlando. And so it’s Himurro who brings up the ball for the Los Angeles Lakers. Reeves outside. Pass to Labraia. Five on the clock and the double of Donic. And here’s Reeds outside. The shots good on the assist by Donic. Donic has got assist number nine now. Wow. What an effort here tonight. Now here’s Subs. And he makes good on the layup. Suggs has got 12 points in just the second half. Man, this guy is a scoring machine. I mean, I know I’m not the only one to describe him that way. 13 ft away and the shot is good. Dropping in off the front of the rim. Nice play call there down the stretch getting him the open look. Yeah, I put that one on the defense. I mean, they can’t leave him open at this stage. Now, here’s SSER [Applause] outside. They double him with eight. Here’s Carter. And then Carter with the dunk with the 9 foot standing reach. Carter has no trouble putting that away. And JJ Brick calls timeout here. And he wants to see some changes out there right away and right now. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. and the Magic making a change here. Bane’s checked in. The Lakers also with the sub. James has checked in right now. Let’s send it over to the sidelines and get a report from David Aldridge. Hey guys, JJ Reick’s message with his team was simple. He loves what they’re doing in the paint. He said, “If they’re not stopping us, keep doing it. keep going after it down low. So, they’ll keep pounding it inside, guys. Thank you, David. Now, here is Hiimura. And here’s Donic from the AR. And it’s Fuckner with the rebound. Magic leading by seven. Here’s Ben. He’s hauled in by Los Angeles. Eightton’s got rebound number 12 now. Tenacity on the glass to the middle. It’s stolen by Van Carol. Pass to Suggs. Back to Ban Carol. A kick out to Bane. Good on the three-point shot. Baines got the lead up to 10 now for the Magic. And smart ball movement there from Don Carol. And that selflessness will endear him to his teammates. Back to Donic. Forcing his way inside. Donic. I tell you what, what a good thing that he showed up today because without him, this thing would already be over. [Applause] Suggs dishes to Van Carol [Applause] outside. Carter with a screen on James. Six to shoot to the inside. A shot missing. Some solid defense from Eightton. Shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. It’s on Fron Vagner. Hey, you want to try to guard LeBron? Good luck. I mean, the King is impossible to stop. Fast, strong, smart, tough, creative, draws lots of fouls. That free throw. No good. [Applause] He hits the second from the line. And Vagner’s got the ball here for Orlando. They’ve led by as much as 10. Ben Carro with screen on James and finished off by Ben Carro. When Beno gets in tight, that’s how he likes to finish. No layups for this big guy. He’s all about the finish. Now here’s Huim. Reeves outside. Here’s James. And it’s Fogner with the rebound. Got four rebounds now tonight. Suggs against Donic. Pass to Bane. Wner outside. It’s in and good for his sixth field goal in 10 attempts. And with the lead, I like the strategy here. Continue to get the ball to guys who can do something with it. If it’s working, keep working it. That’s what I say. Keep the pressure on. And the Lakers with another miss. Magic leading by 11 inside. Here’s Suggs. and Suggs throws it down. Get up, Jaylen Suggs. This guy also a terrific football player in high school. Donic looking it over, fires the three. Carter pulls it in. Carter’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Takes the 13-footer and it’s Judge missing. You’re not going to see that very often. Plenty of space, but he just, let’s face it, he whist [Applause] and he has definitely been struggling in this quarter. You know, guys, it seems to me as though he’s over anxious. He seems to be pressing, trying too hard, moving too fast. Just needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. officials on the call with the foul. And every year, and Greg, we agree, Bane seems to get better and better as a playmaker. Doesn’t overdo anything with his passing. Looks more and more comfortable creating off the drive and kick. He’s become a large part of this offensive engine. [Applause] He throw good Bane. [Applause] and Bing drops them both. 114 left in the fourth quarter. And guys, what we saw here tonight is one side having everything going for them. huge margin of victory for Orlando. You know, their big advantage was points in the paint and they found a way to pound the ball inside and that was working all game long. The one player that really stands out of course in this one. It was a dazzling game for Paulo Vanero. Just an outpouring of points from him. Nobody could do much to keep him from dropping it in. Out to Donic to the paint. Here’s Eaton. Basic finds in it goes for the eighth time in 10 tries. We’ve got 33 seconds left in the fourth. Outside Bane stolen by Reeves. Come on, get back. And LeBron with the basket. The assist by Reeves. Orlando with the ball. The biggest lead of the game, 15 points. [Applause] Agnner against LeBron. [Applause] And so it’s Orlando taking this one by a big margin. Even early on in this one, it seemed like they were happy to be playing at home tonight. And it makes a big difference once they started to really play in rhythm. You never felt like they had any doubts as to whether or not they were going to win. And that’s going to do it tonight, folks, for our broadcast for Greg Anthony, Clark Kellogg, and David Aldridge. This is Kevin
