But um Kaminga basically says, “I don’t think that contract’s fair.” The Warriors on the other side say, “We offer the highest starting salary that you’re going to get. There’s not a lot of teams with cap space that can offer you anything else.” Um but his agent’s going to continue to look for signing trades. The Suns and the Kings are the two teams that have showed some interest. Unfortunately, they have nothing to offer the Warriors or at least that they would offer the Warriors that Golden State wants. And the the issue with this entire thing is that Al Horford is reportedly on standby because of this cuz if they commit their $5 million mid-level exception to Horford, then the transaction hardcaps them at the second apron and potentially makes it possible for a team to swoop in and throw an offer sheet for Kaminga that the Warriors can’t match, losing and him.
