start with you listen Tolves won game 3 by 42 i’m sure they realize game 4 won’t be that easy uh so what is their focus going into game 4 as they try to tie up the series well Ryan think about some of these numbers sh Gil Alexander has 29 free throws in games one and two combined but only four in game 3 and a lot of that had to do with how Jaden McDaniels approached it defensively he had 11 fouls in the first two games only two in game 3 and none against SGA and he said you know my arms are so long they get caught in places I don’t even want them to be in sometimes so he has to be cognitive of defending without fouling while still being physical that’s certainly been his approach then you think about the shooting for the Wolves they were 20 for 40 from three in game 3 first two games 26 for 90 dante Vincenzo this morning said that some of that was obviously the quick decision making of Anthony Edwards but it was also sound shots that they took in Oklahoma City were the same sound shots they took in Minnesota as long as they keep with that same process they feel good about their chances playing in front of their home crowd again tonight ok so Tim you know obviously the Thunder trying to move on from that game 3 disastrous uh of a loss what have they said that they’ve learned in game 3 going here into game 4 brian look if the Thunder aren’t ready to play they will be on the wrong end of a route that they learn for sure the Minnesota Tim Worlds are not scared of the overall top seed in these NBA playoffs and Thunder Coach Mark Dagon said “It’s not necessarily a bad thing to taste your own blood.” I mean it’s a wakeup call if you don’t play with the attention and detail the force the physicality that the Thunder have all season long they’re going to have a really tough time in this series and you know Ch Hr said execution didn’t even come into play in game 3 it didn’t get to that point because they were just completely out uh outforced and you know look the Timber as Hong said got wherever they wanted to go and you know we’ll see how the Thunder respond gil Alexander put it we got punch in our mouth we’re either going to respond or we’re not and if we don’t know you like trends so let me lay this trend on you see how you like it if you try it on for size in the last three postseasons there have been seven instances where a team is winning a series 2 to1 and in game four they are favored on the road that fits the Oklah City Thunder right uhhuh seven of the previous seven won the game outright and six of those seven covered so after getting punched in the mouth I think we should trust Shay Gilgus Alexander and the Thunder to punch back against Minnesota here i like them to win this game i like for them to cover this game because of that trend so I don’t know if that one is one that fits you well Christine but that’s one I’m wearing i like it i like it a lot actually ok i love that let me throw another bet at you then regardless of when loser draw I think Anthony Edwards is going to get a lot of shots up he scored 30 points in the game 3 victory but he played less than 30 minutes and he only shot the ball 17 times cuuse of the blowout he wasn’t needed i think this game is going to be closer in fact I think the TOS are going to be trailing so I think Antman’s going to play 40 plus minutes and might shoot the ball 25 to 30 times from the field so even though I like the Thunder to win I still like a 30 point effort from Anthony Edwards even if it comes in a loss you can parlay those two together at like plus 350 at ESPM bet so you can get a really good ROI if you want to go that route think that’s funny thank you for calling me going down tonight in a game four after dropping the first two games in OKC the Timber Wolves bounce back with a dominant 143 to 101 win in game 3 the 143 points were the most interess franchise history the largest loss all season for the Thunder continued to be a trend of up Minnesota playing great ball at home this postseason 5 at Target Center this postseason shooting 50% from the field the best marked by any team in their home arena shay Gilis Alexander looks to bounce back after struggling in game 3 the MVP was held to a season though 14 points it was the first time all year he has had as many turnovers as he made field goals all right Wendy you’re in Minnesota what adjustments did the Wolves make in game 3 that they’ll need to try to carry over into game 4 yeah Christine the first two games of the series they played a lot of zone defense and the reason they did that was they had success playing zone against the Thunder in the regular season and the Nuggets had some success playing it against him in the last round but frankly they just didn’t do a very good job of it and the Thunder kind of torched him at it and in game two they went 14 of 26 against the zone shooting so in game three they basically junked it and said we’re going to go back to what Chris Finch called their fastball which was just aggressive man to man defense trapped occasionally but they basically just pushed their defense out pushed Oklahoma City farther away from the court and that change seemed to make the Wolves a lot more comfortable defensively you definitely saw it in having arguably his worst game of the season right and you have to give some credit to Fench right i think that uh what I seen for him in game 3 is he kind of got uh OKC out the way he wasn’t allowing them to be able to just load on Ant and load on Julius Randal and and Aunt just did it on him upon himself to say “Hey listen I’m going to get to the basket i’m going to get to my shots i’m going to shoot with confidence.” The way he came out in that game was very important and I think that the team just follow behind him but Fin did a really good job of getting guys more space having more space to uh to to to score the ball and to get guys uh available for open shots the bench was the first time I’ve seen in this ser that the bench was efficient they weren’t just chucking up three they were getting creative on their looks and they were everybody was touching the ball and the ball was just moving all right so if Minnesota is able to carry over tonight then they tie up the series so Marcus what do you need to see from OKC as they look to respond and take that 3-1 series lead the first five minutes out of his game is going to be very important to see how their energy is how aggressive they are obviously didn’t play well so uh the others too you want to kind of see where their mindset is when they come out into this game is the the the Minnesota home court advantage is going to um you know kind of di back because this is a young team right this is the first time they’ve been in the in the Western Conference finals and playing away right and as we seen that it was a big difference from being home and with these younger teams it’s a little different to see if will they settle down will they be that OKC that we’ve been seeing or will Minnesota stay with the same energy and Everest come out with that same rush and be able to to push him to 22 yeah Christine I think the the Thunder are definitely young but they do believe they’re a resilient team they’re three and0 after losses in this year’s playoffs they only lost back to back games twice on the regular season one of them was in April when they were pretty much resting guys so they have been a team that’s been able to make adjustments and recover i will say though this team led the history of the NBA in point differential and they were on the way to threatening the postseason record for point differential to say that they are not used to losing a game by 40 is an extraordinary understatement so I’m like Marcus i want to
