How Good Were The 2019 Philadelphia 76ers Actually? #shorts
This is the 2019 Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons. Oh, beautiful look from Simmons. A team with elite talent, sky-high expectations, and a season that ended with four bounces. They finished on a 51 and 31 record, third in the East, and were one of the most dangerous teams in the league. Their head coach, Brett Brown, he ran a halfcourt inside out system centered around Joel Embiid and leaned heavily on defense, size, and mismatches. Their starting five, one of the best in the NBA. At center was Joel Embiid, who averaged 28 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Running the point was a 6’10 behemoth and Ben Simmons. Lightning in transition, a defensive force, but still refused to shoot a jumper. Still, he averaged 17,9 and 8 and guarded every position. Then there was Jimmy Butler, who they acquire early in the season. They’re closer, the leader, and the guy who always wanted it more. Here it is. Butler for the win. Yes. And after the trade deadline, they added Tobias Harris, a 6’8 in scorer, smooth shooter, 20 points per game. And lastly, their sharpshooter in JJ Reic, who actually had a career best 18.1 points per game that season. Shot 39% from three and 89% from the line. Off the bench, they had guys like James Enis, Mike Scott, Bobin Marionovic, Greg Monroe, and TJ McConnell. And in the playoffs, first round versets, they quickly ended them in five with blowout wins in almost every game. Then came the real challenge, second round versus the Raptors. Game one, Kawhai’s 45 points was too much for them to handle. Raptors up one to zero. Game two, they tied the series. Jimmy Butler dropped 30. Had 12 in the fourth, including nailing a tough three late. Finds Butler. And Embiid made a clutch layup to seal it. Spins to the rim. Perfect. Embiid. Sixers stole one in Toronto. Game three. Embiid put up 33 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks, including a windmill dunk to cap off a 21-point win. Embiid fakes. Embiid down the lane. Game four, Kawhai responded like a killer. Put up 39 points, including hitting some dagger threes laid over Embiid. Game five, the Sixers played terrible. Shot only 25% from deep. Toronto wins in a blowout win of 36 points. Game six, Jimmy Butler took over with 25 points. Sixers forced game seven. Then came game seven and it was down to the wire. Down by two, Jimmy Butler ties the game late after a Kawaii missed free throw. Here comes Butler driving layup is caught. Toronto now has the final possession. Philly needs a stop, but that didn’t happen. Simmons. Is this the tagger? [Applause] And after that, the team was never the same again. Jimmy and JJ Reic left in free agency, and Simmons would lose his confidence years later. This was the 2019 76ers stacked with talent, but one bounce ended it

Damn shame
I almost forgot Jimmy played for the 6ers 😂
Wow 😯
They were a super team.. one of the best teams to never make the finals fs
It’s east finals not 2 rounds of playoff
Should have gone up 3 -1 , but😢 Joel had stomach issues. Mark Gasol was hell on Embiid, like Horford.
