Brooklyn Nets TRADE Cam Thomas To The Golden State Warriors? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Brooklyn Nets be trading away Cam Thomas to the Golden State Warriors this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Golden State Warriors receiving Cam Thomas and a 2027 second round draft pick and the Brooklyn Nets receiving Moses Moody and Buddy Heield. I actually think that the Warriors going out there and acquiring Cam Thomas would be pretty fun to see happen. Having a backcourt next year of Cam Thomas and Stephen Curry who can shoot the basketball like from outside of the of the arena. It would be pretty fun to watch. But does Cam Thomas impact winning on a team like the Warriors? Well, I I don’t think he’s probably best utilized there. Now, Cam Thomas, some would view him as a very talented player that can score the basketball, but perhaps puts up empty calorie stats on bad basketball teams. So, maybe that’s why he has been so successful on Brooklyn, putting up the numbers that he’s putting up. But, the negotiations with Cam Thomas and the Brooklyn Nets haven’t gone anywhere. Reportedly, the two sides are quite far apart. You know, Cam Thomas wants, you know, 30 40 plus million bucks and he wants to get paid like a star player, but the Brooklyn Nets are only offering this guy about 145 million per season. So, the two sides are pretty far apart. So, that’s why a Cam Thomas trade could very well happen this off season, but would he go to Golden State? I just really don’t think so. Golden State traded away a very similar player a couple years ago in Jordan Pool. And that’s just sort of how they operate as a franchise. So, even with the draft pick attached, I don’t think that Cam Thomas going to Golden State makes a lot of sense. Now, he is a younger talent and I guess you can maybe sell that aspect of it. But truthfully speaking, I don’t see this as a good fit for the Warriors and Cam Thomas. Now, from the Brooklyn Nets perspective, I do like this deal. If I’m not super sold on Cam Thomas longterm, why not get two players that could actually make some sense on this roster? Buddy Heields is a player that I could see being traded from the Brooklyn Nets later on. Uh, so perhaps he’s more of like a stop gap player. A good veteran to add to this young team’s dressing room might not be a terrible idea. He’s a really good, you know, really good more than capable starting shooting guard in the NBA. He shoots the basketball pretty well from beyond the arens, truthfully speaking. He can kind of be a more established, safer player than what Cam Thomas brings to the table. Moses Moody could definitely benefit, I think, at this point from a change of scenery. He’s the type of player that has been talked about for quite some time now on the trade market. And if he goes to Brooklyn, this could fit him best long term. So, in my personal opinion, I think the winner of this deal without a doubt is the Brooklyn Nets. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
