Shams Drops BOMBSHELL Kuminga Report…
Folks, this is wild. We have another Jonathan Kaminga report. A shams bombshell. Two reports. One, the new offer the Warriors gave Kaminga. He turned down because of the money and what’s inside the deal. We have all the details for you. And secondly, the offers from the Suns and the Kings, the length, the money, the guaranteed money, all that in between. We’re going to break it down on this episodes of Warriors Digest. myself, Randy Silver. How you all doing? Arthur does a great job on this channel. We together tag team boom boom bringing you Warriors news daily. Free agency summer league’s now over NBA games when they come back. Trades coming. And we have the news for you. So, let’s break it down. Before we do, folks, some of you are more in tune than the average person. Great. We do videos here for all ranges on this channel. So, some of this information you may know, some of it may be new, but Kaminga is the biggest story honestly right now in the NBA, right? It’s for sure in the Warriors land. So, that’s why we keep talking about it. Warriors made another push to sign Jonathan Kaminga. Two years, $45 million. That’s 17.5 million per year. Yesterday’s video was two years 40 million. Uh, 20 million per year. Sorry, I say 17.5 million. I meant 22.5 million. Excuse me. 22.5 million per year. So, they increased their offer 2.2 million. Basically, 2.5 million. He said no. He wants out of Golden State. It’s extremely extremely obvious. His decision is due in large part to the Warriors insistence on having a team option for the second season and their unwillingness to let him maintain the built-in no trade clause, sources said. So, let’s talk about this. Kaminga is on his fifth year of his contract going in his fifth year. If he signs the qualifying offer, no matter what happens, if he stays with the Warriors for one year or he’s traded mid-season, he will be a free agent at the end of the season. No if, ands, or buts. Basically, a no trade clause in that sense because he can pick his future. If he signs a two-year deal and the Warriors have a team option for the second season, that means he is stuck potentially with the Warriors. I use the word stuck because it seems like he doesn’t want to be there for potentially two more years. If it was a one and one and he had control and he’d be here for a year and leave and Warriors probably know he’s leaving. So why are we going to keep him here? That’s why they have this team control for second year meaning that they get value on their asset. they can try to trade him again or at least they know they have two more seasons lined up with Butler Green and Curry who own 80% of the salary cap we have. Kaminga’s agent, Aaron Turner, presented a few frameworks during a pair of meetings in Summer League in Las Vegas, including a three-year deal around $82 million that allowed the Warriors to stay below the second apron to use their taxpayer mid-level exception. So, what is 82 / three? 82 divided by three is 27.5 million per year. We talked about last year the Warriors maybe offered him 30 million. They said that was fake news. They would have taken it. We heard that he wants 30 to 40 million. Excuse me. I’m about to see. Bless me. Thank you if you said it out there. So, we do know that there’s interest in trying to get around 30 million mark. This puts you at 27.3 million. And I broke this down on a video the other week. How does that taxpayer mid-level exception work? So, you can see right here. Oh, wrong one. Here we go. Based off of where you fall in the first apron, second apron, this is what you can offer players. Mid-level tax, non-t taxpayer, midle taxpayer. So here, this means if they offered Kaminga that they could still provide 2526, 5.6 million to a mid-level taxpayer exception. Maybe that’s for D. Anthony Melton, Seth Curry, Al Horford. I think Al Horford’s probably going to be the vet minimum mid-level room right here. And then by annual if you want to sign a vet again, vet minimum number of years. Al Horford’s close to 20 years. He would get about $3.6 million. The Warriors themselves, let me pull this up one second. Steph Curry, Butler, and Green account for more than 80% of the 2526 payroll. The Warriors, again, if they signed Kaminga, depending on the money, they could offer the taxpayer mid-level exception, which we just saw was around 6 million, and then vet minimums and youngsters on rookie deals. So, that would be the rookie out of Florida. That’d be the rookie they got from last Australia, Tuhei. Um, and Looney is gone. Warriors themselves, folks, again, have done nothing in free agency. The only team, this is what your roster looks like right now. So, a lot of rookies and potential vets out there going to come in and fill out the rest of this team. Continuing on, Kaminga and Turner again, Turner, his agent, use July to explore sign and trade options. The most significant negotiation, Kings and Suns. As we talked about, Suns don’t have a first round pick, which the Warriors want. Kings do. They have probably a little bit more assets that they have tradable proposals for those teams. Four years approaching 90 million. So four divided by 90 puts you around like 22 23 million per year. So that puts you where the Warriors offered two years, 45 million, 22 million a year. So that basically says, “Hey, we’ll give you that type of money on a shorter deal if you stay with us, including a player option for the final season.” So that means if he tries to get the signing trade with the Kings and the Suns, three years signed to the team and then one year, fourth year is up to Kaminga and that puts him at like 25 26 season uh his age season, excuse me. Phoenix made the biggest push but again it’s been talked about they don’t have the assets. The Warriors aren’t interested in trade returns for the Kings and the Suns for Kaminga. Why? Because they want to get the value back and they have the control because Kaminga is a restricted free agency. So, per shams, the Warriors are basically stopping Simon Trades and saying, “Minga, you’re going to do it this way. One-year deal, $7.9 million qualifying offer.” Or you take our two years, 20 million per year. two years, 22 and a half million per year, and then you move forward. Which would you do if you’re a Kaminga? Call me your thoughts. Kaminga wants a fresh start. Pretty obvious. He wants a long-term deal, a guaranteed larger role, a promised starting position, a greater level of respect and career control. That’s interesting as well. So, one fresh start. That’s obvious. Join a new team. A larger guaranteed role. We know last year he started came off the bench got hurt did not play coach’s decisions and then when Curry got hurt in the playoffs showed out against the Wolves but they we were overmatched this season Kur said he talked about you love to have Kaminga Butler and Green play more together last year after the trade deadline after Kaminga came back from being hurt did not have enough time to make that happen they did not play well together he would do that more early in the season to get them comfortable he probably doesn’t trust it once wants to go somewhere else wants guaranteed minutes guaranteed starting 30 minutes per game around that Phoenix’s excuse me proposal is also nearly 70 million more guaranteed than the Warriors offer so again Phoenix 90 million four years warriors 45 million two years that’s not 70 million more that’s 45 million more but potentially something like that as well if you look at the qualifying offer maybe you’re speaking about that Kaminga told ESPN he’s in no rush to move forward and that’s why stalemate contract negotiations. This is what it is to be in this type of business. Kaminga believes accepting the Warriors 2-year offer with a team option along with forfeiting trade veto rights seeds too much control to the franchise he believes has stunted his growth and long career aspirations for four seasons. Interesting. Again, Kaminga doesn’t want to be there. Even if he comes back, that toxic nature with the coaches, potentially that toxic nature with the front office, like toxic is a strong word, but I’m just saying it may be awkward, but again, this is professional sports. This happens all the time. You come and play, but it’s clear he doesn’t want to be there. And you can see why King’s sons have pitched him on defined rules. The Warriors have not given him. Again, we talked about what Kerr thinks of them playing together. Warriors said they or Warrior sources believe they have the best offer on the table. 21.7 million next season compared to 19.8 million elsewhere. Again, scale rising up in the two-year team option concept uh two-year team option concept. The deal is purposely structured to be tradable coming January 15th. And if Kaminga’s ultimate desire is to play elsewhere, it would allow him next his next team decline the team option and extend him. So there you go. They could do it that way. Based on collective bargaining agreement, the Warriors proposed oneplus one contract would have an inherent no trade clause as Kaminga’s next team want to maintain his birth rights, which is interesting. that would give Kaminga a level of control over his next home. Kind of like what DLO did for the Lakers in 2023. So folks, do you think this is good for the Warriors, bad for the Warriors? It’s interesting to see Kaminga himself ongoing tugof-war contract negotiations restricted free agency. Um if he takes a qualifying offer, he’d be losing 42 million with potential growth to be moving forward in future seasons. why are these cheesedicks bad mouthing jk. the management of w's are to blame. kerr berating him and mgt throwing 50m at butler.
The Warriors are bad for the Warriors. They have allowed their young talent to be nothing more than a role player, and they have allowed Draymond to control any competition for his role. The result? The Warriors have peaked with the Steve Kerr era coaching and they will not win another championship with their core because you can’t ask role players to become more than role players when your core is injured and playing 100 games per season.
the toxicity is management created, not jk
btw, why ain't kerr talking. lol
Warriors are a shell of what they were. Everyone knows the front office is weak. The Butler trade has hamstrung their budget for the next 2 years. Good for Kuminga!! Get off this team!!
I know kuminga lowkey got screwed by the warriors, but he’s not even worth the 20 million we offered. Let him go somewhere he can play to earn and demand that kind of money. Kid is explosive and could be an A tier player, but the warriors don’t want to give him a chance so let him go.
I hate it here
Nah fq what Kerr talking bout, he had 4 yrs to play jk and didn’t, u think he’s gona play him all of a sudden now? He’s just saying what Jk wants to hear to trick him into signing then he’ll switch up n do what he has been doing, sabotaging Jks career.
Trade Curry and reboot
Its gonna take 3 years for 70. Maybe they can backload it and give him a player option for the third year.
That's what kerr gets he doesn't want to be bargaining chip either go all in and commit to not trading him or let me go. I get it now they don't want DeRozan whos a similar player, so either this is intentional or they're paying him under the table.
Just trade him and get what you can this is stupid and a waste of time and distraction
Warriors should have played hardball against Loseminga years ago. This is what selfish players deserve. They tried to be nice. But the time for nice is long over.
Kings and Suns don't have cap space to make an offer to Loseminga. They can only work in sign & trade. Warriors can just keep extending the qualifying offer. And Loseminga can take it or go play in China. Or he can accept a friendly contract to the Warriors so they can send him packing at the trade deadline. Or he could take QO and leave a ton of money on the table.
Imagine going into your 6th year as a professional basketball player and you still don't know how to set/use a screen or box out. And you want $30 million / year. Lol
Kuminga is going to the kings.. but the offer is low. Suns deal is better, but they probably will send him somewhere like the nets or wizards
he rejected the 22 million plus year?
WHAT IS KERR'S PROBLEM WITH JK?
Glad Looney is gone Santos needs to go too!
I don't get why Kuminga doesn't just sign a deal with the warriors so they can trade him. They want him gone and he wants to leave so both parties are in agreement. Warriors want full value for him which makes sense if you have an asset and by resigning Kuminga has financial security and gets to leave sooner, in January. It's a win win. If the warriors trade him now they can only get half the contracts back. If he signs the qualifying offer he won't play for a year and it will take him a year instead of 6 months to find another team.
Good god waive this man, more toxic than the Beal contract was
This is not a bombshell, it’s a hostage situation
If bob myers was here this would have been done by now. Shell of its former self.
So if he doesn’t sign he has to sit out. If he doesn’t sign, he is still under GS for at least a year. GS should just give him a player option. Kuminga doesn’t have any options actually. If he doesn’t sign GS still has his rights. He doesn’t have any leverage actually, he is just holding up GS in free agency. I understand GS doesn’t want to give him away, but he is a distraction.
If he could’ve gotten $30 mill from another team, he would’ve by now.
Kuminga said he wants to go to the kings.
Warriors team is like a burning train driving off a cliff. Someone bring the retirement home to the locker room. Kerr's player management and lack of developing anyone so far has screwed so many years into the future it could be decades before we are good enough to be a top 5 team again. The biggest impact is the toxic view this team is given now. Every player that escaped the warriors has said awful things about kerr and the way the office backs him. Draymond damaged more than pooles face with that punch. Everyone been trying to leave since.
I heard that JK want's to play for the Kings and Sacramento want's to get rid of Derozan. So why not make a 3 team trade trading Derozan plus another player to the 3rd team to get young talents the Warriors wants plus add a 1st round pick
Of course JK wants more money but if gsw showed that they value him then maybe this couldve been done a long time ago.. kerr is the main problem.. things would be much better if they just fire him.. he's washed
Team option is 100% fail for JK. He doesn't care. The only possible way JK is signing a multi-year deal is with a player option. If you were JK, why would you ever trust a word coming out of Steve Kerr's mouth?
Its because kuminga is religious and pro life whilst kerr is a fully munted liberal with full blown Trump derangement syndrome 😮
What is really the purpose of not giving him the max 2 yr 70 mill yr deal then trading it
Trade kuminga to Chicago Bulls for Vusevic, they need a big guy in the Center position to have a little chance to make the play off, with that roster right now dont make even the first 8 team in the west.Kuminga hi dont want to play for the Warriors any more.
