The Wizards Have A SECRET STAR In The Making With Kyshawn George…
Keshan George. Remember the freaking name, dude. Remember the game. But most importantly, remember the hair. His hair got the entire NBA buzzing right now. Who was the player that impressed you most? Uh, I don’t know about his overall play, but Keshan George on the defensive end. Like, if if I was going to say you, if you told me, Bryce, you can say one thing about the Wizards non- rookies at summer league, I would be like, hey, Keshan George really got after it on the defensive end. Yeah, I thought Keshan was really good. I thought he was great on both ends. Honestly, uh the passing, you know, out in a real way. He had six assists against the Nets. He had three in the game against the Suns. You see the development right in front of our eyes. You saw like in the beginning of the rookie season for him to where he ended and then now he’s continuing that on to summer league and like all signs are showing that he’s going to continue that onto the training camp, preseason, and regular season. It’s a lot to be excited right now. and his hair keeps getting poofier puffier. The the Wizards dropped like a recent like a they had like I don’t know like a comedic triage of you know the the rookies and Keshan’s hair looked puffier. I was a what the look at it. He looks like Dr. J from NBA Street Volume 2. It’s getting scary the bigger his confidence gets. It’s like it’s like a Pinocchio’s nose. It His hair just gets getting bigger and bigger and bigger. His hair got that 6’2 wingspan. Like it it’s insane. I love it. I love it. But with all the hair aside, um I don’t know. Just ranting about this dude’s hair. Uh welcome to the dirty bucket. If you enjoy this video, please like and subscribe. In today’s video, we’re going to talk about the Wizards. We mostly talk about the Wizards here, but we’re going to talk about Keshan George, a dude I haven’t made a video on. I I I checked my time my my history. What the I haven’t made a video about him. He deserves this. Um especially after the summer league performance. But yeah, man. If you enjoy this video, please like and subscribe. Uh, I do want to apologize. I haven’t dropped a video in like five, six days. I’ve been out of town at a work conference in Las Vegas. But one thing I will say, it’s freaking hotter here than it is in Las Vegas. I am not lying. The humidity levels here is insane. It smacked me. It smacked me when I landed here at Reagan. I was just, what is this? We We got to do something. going to Mars. We need to figure out this humidity level here at the DMV. It’s insane. We don’t know how bad we got it. But anyways, I’m going to start this video off with this question. When we first drafted our three rookies last year, Sar, Bub, Key, we were obviously very excited about Sar. Bub came with a lot of excitement. You know, it’s a guy that we, you know, clearly Will Dawkins coveted him. He was kind of like the not forgotten because we were excited about him too, but he was pushed to it aside a bit. By the end of this video, dude, I think things have changed. I think the level of excitement with Key has surpassed other dudes in his rookie draft class. And it’s not a knock on the other dudes. It’s more of just like how this guy is performing. But anyways, I’m just tossing it out there. So, like his last year in college, you know, in Miami, he averaged 7.6 points, you know, three rebounds, two assists on 42% from the field and 41% from the three and 78% from the foul line. So, you know, like you can see the healthy shooting splits and he projects to be a plus shooter because, you know, 41% from the three last year in college. Granted, he shot 32% from the three his rookie year with us, the Wizards. I’m going to put his stats here with his rookie year stats. He is super confident in his shot. Like you can see he just jacks it up from anywhere. I just see him in the mold of like the classic streaky shooter, but I he to me he projects as a plus shooter. I I think he’s going to get get you like 37 38% from the three uh in the prime of his career. So I’m not worried about his shot whatsoever, especially his three-point shot. Um his his confidence, like I said, the hair gets poofier, the confidence like it. I’m not worried about his confidence whatsoever. The thing about Keith that like kind of gets us like very like excited is he’s 21. He’s been I guess I guess a bit older on the rookie age when he first got drafted by us. He’s turning 22 in December this year. He was 6’5 when he was 20 years old. He had a 3-inch growth spurt. He’s now 68. He said multiple times in his rookie year saying, “Dude, I I’m just getting adjusted to this new body.” He’s the classic guard in a big man’s body. You know, big man. He’s 6’8 with a 6’11 wingspan. So, you know, you he said it multiple times like I’m just getting adjusted. He’s like, “Dude, I just grew three inches.” Like, you know, like, so with him, I’m just like to the point I’m just like, even though he’s 21 years old, he’s still raw. He has a new frame now that he can develop and also, you know, take advantage of. These are his shooting splits from his rookie year with us. You know, I’m going to talk about his three-point shot a lot because, you know, I I feel like some people, not mostly from us in the Wizards Nation, but people from the outside looking in, they talk about him and just like, if he can get a three-point shot, he’ll be good. He got one. He got one. Watch. This year, he’s going to average like at least 36. Um, but anyways, like in October, you know, 12 12% from three. You know, Granny only played four games. Then November 27, December 26, then January 31. February this man was in love 44% from the three. Then in March 35, then he started dipping a bit. Granted, he only played in four games in April. You know, 33 33% from the three. But you saw the improvement. Pre-allar, this man was shooting 31% from the three. Post allstar, damn near 35% from the three. I’m not worried about his three-point shot whatsoever, you know? So, I just want to toss it out there. It’s kind of like an enigma because like most rookies, they don’t progress like that. They usually have like the they usually have that slump towards the end of the season, but this guy did the complete opposite. Granted, he didn’t really play that much early on in the season, but you know, you saw he just kept getting better and better and better, and you love to see that dude. And I think like the main thing that kind of like a main factor I guess that helped Kei and obviously other rookies and or other young bucks in our squad get better I’ll toss in Balak Kabali in there was freaking Kakusa being traded. Kakusma needed to go. He was eating up minutes eating up freaking possessions and once he went you saw the improvement. I got a stat right here. So basically in an 18g game stretch after Kyle Kusma got traded, Keshan was starting most of damn near every single game and he averaged 37% from the three on six attempts in 18 games. He ended up averaging 11.4 points over that period. Um you know, but it’s just like you you you just saw the development there. But enough about his shooting splits, dude. Let’s talk about his freaking defense because the thing about him is just like his defense, Keshan’s defense, especially we saw it in the summer league. I was like, gee, like look, his defense may very well be the reason why I get a fro. I can see Capital One rocking fros. Like, I can see them handing. And not for comedic purposes. It’s more of just like you want to feel one with Kei. You want to feel as connected as possible with Keshan George. In fact, I don’t give a I’ll wear a fro uh if need be. Like it’s getting bigger. Like his fro to me, I’m just like, dude, if he’s guarding like a wing, his fro is like blocking the vision and like his fro had a growth spurt over the summer. You saw it with his fro. He’s now like 76. He’s a 76 wing. It’s I love it. I have a couple stats here. you know how again early on in the season even defensively where he excelled even especially in the summer league he was struggling a bit but you saw the progression like this is a stat right here George at one point was in the 12th percentile among wings and foul rate per the sight cleaning the glass he also committed three or more fouls in more than 60% of the games but as time passed by we saw him playing with a chip with an attitude you know with with a nasty demeanor and then like later on in the season I’ve read a stat right here. Opponents shot 3.3% worse than their average when George was defending them. Keshan was also amongst the 13th best mark in the league amongst non-enters who have faced at least 500 shots according to NBA.com. Washington also allowed 2.2 fewer points per 100 possessions with Keshan George on the court. He became more disruptive as the season progressed. you know, especially in February. Um, since the start of February, he was 100 in the percentile among wings in the percentages of shots he blocked and 73rd percentiles in steal percentage according to Clean the Glass. Even dudes like Marcus Smart was raving about him. You know, Marcus Marcus Smart knows a thing or two about defense. All right, if he if he sees it in you, that’s the stamp of defense right there. Look, he said this and I quote, I’m going to read it out loud to you guys. You see the fire? He’s talking crap back to guys. He’s holding his own. He’s taking contact and he’s dishing out the contact. And that’s what you have to have in a young team, especially the way the record looks for us. Guys are going to come in and think it’s not going to be easy. And he showed that it’s not. I love it. I love it. And like I say, his hair is getting bigger and bigger. His hair is going to average 1.2 blocks this year. You know, I even saw this clip like I shared it earlier about when the Bub Carson video, his tenacity. He talks that is on the court. Like this is him and Draymond. Early on last year, Bob and uh Keshan Jordan, they started talking to me. I’m literally sitting there asking them like, “Yo, y’all talk?” They like, “Yeah, it’s what we on.” I said, “Oh, cool. We can talk then. All right, let’s go.” I was excited as hell. So, you’re talking is to the dude who talks the most is you’re not scared of him. I think it’s time that he is nationally recognized as a dog. D AWG. It’s time. I think it’s time, dude. It’s time. I even got another stat for you guys. He was apparent, he was a strong rebounder um ranking in the 89th percentile on defensive rebounding since February 1 per cleaning the glass. Even towards the end of the season, Chris Middleton said in an end of the season interview that he was like, “Hey man, who who reminds you of you?” you know, and he he said immediately Keshan George I can’t think of like a like he’s so but he being Keshan different you see the secondary playmaking skills with him I feel like with him like we talk about mostly you know his shot and his defense how we’re intrigued by that obviously a three and knee wing he’s a wing he can play a four as well but his secondary playmaking skills He averaged four assists in the summer league and it’s just a summer league. I’m just like I’m a comparison dude and I can’t think of one. I can’t who’s a good comparison for Keshan George and that’s a good thing. Chris Middleton said he’s like he reminds me of me and I can see it to a certain degree but I’m just like I think he’s he has aspects of Chris Middleton but like obviously I I I I don’t know. Going back to my earlier question when I started this video off and I was just like the excitement level. We were excited about all three of our rookies last year. I’m going say their names. Alex Rar, Bob Carrington, Keshan George. Is Keshan now? And I said this in the stream. The favorite to be the second best prospect out of this draft class. My opinion is still going to be Alexar. I think that hasn’t changed. He has his highest ceiling amongst all three of them. No disrespect. And I love Bob Carrington. I do. I’m rooting for the best. I I know this is a critical year for him. It sucks because it shouldn’t be. He’s only 20 years old, but I think it’s going to be a critical year for him because, you know, the Wizards can draft a point guard next year. We don’t know. We don’t know. But Keshan George, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the second best player out of all three of them. So, basically, he ends up having a better career than Bub. And I’m really bullish on Bub. We hit it. We hit it with a Daniel Gaffford trade. We got key with that pick. It’s nice knowing that you have a GM who can draft his ass off. It’s nice knowing that just because you have a low first round pick doesn’t mean that pick’s going to go to waste. No. Will Dawkins is cooking. But anyways, let me know what you guys think. Um yeah, man. Big Keshan George fan right here. I’m probably going to make a lot of videos about him this upcoming year. If you enjoy this video, please like and subscribe. I truly appreciate it. Till the next video. Po.
Kyshawn George is a menace.

The best of the three
I would rather take Keyshawn than Sarr right now. I love that Bryce doesn't glaze Sarr like all the other Wizards content creators.
🔑🔑🔑 can’t wait for this next season.
Hate to burst your bubble but he trimmed it for summer league
🔥
I been saying this for awhile now. People keep talking about Sarr, Bilal, Bub & Tre & I like them all but I love George. He has it all size, confidence & he can create his own shot. He plays at his own pace.
Love kyshawn but star potential is crazy
Kyshawn is 'hair' to stay. Love it.
To me a good comparison for Kyshawn ceiling is probably Jalen Williams
His game reminds me a lot of Steve Smith’s go look him up kids big compliment
I have George as 4th on my priority list of who should get playing time and shots.
1. Tre Johnson
2. Alex Sarr
3. Bilal Coulibaly
4. Kyshawn George
5. Bub Carrington
6. Cam Whitmore
7. AJ Johnson
8. Justin Champaigne
9. Tristan Vukcevic
10. Dillon Jones
If you can't trade Middleton and McCollum before season starts then buy outs
That 10 man lineup needs to get minutes and develop.
If Bub does well then draft Boozer, if he doesn't hopefully they draft Peterson
THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE COACH✌️
Bub is the next Rod Strickland
I know this is insane but I see shades of Luka in his game.
kyshawn is my favorite player on the team bro got that dawg in him and is only going to get better
