๐Ÿšจ Begley DROPS Knicks Roster Update! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿฟ #shorts

Ian Begley just confirmed it. The Knicks are still seriously considering Ben Simmons at the moment, even after reports said that it was a long shot or Simmons was signing with Boston. Begley says there’s still strong interest inside the building. But here’s where it gets interesting. Not everyone in the organization agrees. Some want Landry Shamid instead. Others are pushing for Malcolm Brogden and Mike Brown. He’s now part of the decision-making, too. So, the Knicks final roster spot might come down to a three-way internal debate. Simmons, Brogden, or Shamid. Who do you trust most? Drop your pick in the comments and follow for more Nick’s updates.

Ian Begley just confirmed it โ€” the Knicks are still showing strong interest in Ben Simmons, but also have Landry Shamet and Malcolm Brogdon under consideration for the final veteran spot. Who should they choose?

  1. Landry Shamet is the only right answer! Please donโ€™t do something stupid NY! This shouldnโ€™t even be a debate! Why we donโ€™t already have him and our roster is set by now is crazy to me!

  2. Donโ€™t want Simmons here, idc what contract heโ€™s on, even if itโ€™s a vet minimum, heโ€™s terrible and not what we need! Shamet is much better! So stupid! I mean more defense is always good but dude canโ€™t shoot and heโ€™s unreliable with injuries and stuff and his rep is just awful and he canโ€™t handle the pressure of being on the Knicks, Philly scared him off, do we as a fan base really think he will be able to perform over there? I mean fr!

  3. I wouldnโ€™t mind Ben Simmons coming to the Knicks he can play 1-4 spots and can make plays from every spot he fills up stat sheets and plays D why not try him out? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  4. Brogdan is a great defender, however I love Landry passion and offense he stepped up in the postseason he just needed more opportunities. Ben Simmons if his passion was there yes but I dont trust him sorry.

  5. Brogdon is always injured, Simmons is always injured and drama.

I donโ€™t think we need another 6โ€™4 guy but Iโ€™d take Shamet because he plays like an undersized wing.

  6. It feels like we can sign Shamet if we want to. I think We're waiting on simmons and then will sign shamet when simmons chooses boston

  7. Idk, kinda feel like itd be far more noteworthy if everyone involved in the Knicks decision making process DID unilaterally support using the final vet min roster contract on Ben Simmons. It makes sense some in the organization are pushing for him to be the final signing, despite his crazy fall from grace and controversial reputation, hes still young af and offers clear plus tools and some upside. But like I said hes incredibly divisive and controversial and also offers clear flaws he seemingly hasn't worked to improve much during his career, so id be shocked if all of them supported him over the other guys far more than id be surprised some of them do.

  8. Ben is better defensively than the other guys I think Mike brown can put Ben in a position to succeed heโ€™s on a team full of shooters Ben wonโ€™t need to score really you could even start him then have hart off the bench

  9. If those r the 3 choices Shamet for sure. Man was the only one who looked like he actually wanted to play in those last few games of the pacers series. He earned his spot.

  10. iMO Simmons is perfect for that last roster spot he can play all five positions heโ€™ll be excellent late game defender great passer and another ball handler. I think with McBride/Brunson/Katt/Bridges/OG/Clarkson/Kolek/ you have plenty of shooters

  11. Better be Shamet the other two never play they are always in street clothes would be foolish to choose either one of them of Shamet.

  12. Brogdon is injury prone, Shamet is just a shooter, and Ben is unmotivated. Iโ€™d personally go shamet but if youโ€™re gunna roll the dice get Ben. There are plenty of willing scorers but the defense he can provide at that height with playmaking could be a game changer. I lean shamet because of reliability
