[Music] Let’s watch the 2025 first off season workout of the two Superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James and Luca Donic. Let’s watch first LeBron James first 2025 of season workouts. Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music] [Music] Then let’s watch the first of season workout of Luca magic. If how he turns his body to slim again. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] And now let’s hear the general manager of the Lakers, Sir Rob Pelena. If what is his plans for the Los Angeles Lakers next NBA season? Yeah, you know, coming off the draft now we’ll be, you know, digging deep in meetings upstairs. um just prepping for free agency. Um and as I said, you know, at the end of the year, we know one of the things we have to address is the center position and um that’s clearly going to be one of our focuses as we begin the free agency period. Um and that’s right around the corner. So, uh we’re looking forward to just putting in the hard work and making sure we um you know, take care of all the needs on the roster to give JJ the tools he needs for this team to be great uh next season. Yeah, Ally, we were we were super aggressive to begin the day. Um, knowing that we didn’t have a first round pick, uh, Adu was uh uh projected by our scouts as a first round talent. Um, and so we were able to turn 55, which is a late second round pick, you know, to a high second round pick uh to pick a player that we had projected in the first round. So, it’s almost like, you know, having the first round pick that we traded out. So, tons of credit, you know, thankful for the support of, you know, Genie to to allow us to be aggressive and use resources to win at the margins, move up in the draft, and and get a player that we really think is going to dimensionalize our roster. Um, we just felt like one of the things we needed to address is to get younger and more more athletic on the wings. And, uh, being able to get a player like Ad, you know, catch lobs from the corner when Luca is making paint decisions, I think is going to be really special. and then he’s just big big big big shoulders, big chest, a guy that’s going to play defense and add some physicality and athleticism to our roster. So, super excited about that. Yeah, it’s a great question. I mean, it starts with the scouts and um you know, kind of putting together our rankings and our board and again, this this was a player that we had um in the first round. So, great value. And then um now it’s uh getting a contract signed with the player to be part of the team, which happens over the next few days. And then James right from there is, you know, the NBA summer league in Vegas. Um, so these guys, uh, they go from getting drafted with a little break to celebrate with family and friends and then get thrown right into the NBA fire. So no rest for the weary. Yeah, I mean that’s a that’s a great name. Obviously, uh, OG’s a incredible player, um, that’s done so much in the league and it don’t want to put pressure on anyone to become someone else, but that archetype is definitely it. Um, you know, he’s got the 67 frame. Um, you know, he’s incredibly explosive. Um, I think he’s a developing shooter. Um, he’s a lob catcher. I think, um, on the other side of the ball, he’s going to be an elite defender. And, um, he has all the tools there. And, uh, you know, JJ Reick and I actually hosted him in our building a couple weeks ago, took him to lunch and really got to know his character. That’s such an important part of the equation. And he’s just a he’s a great young man and um, hungry to get better and learn and grow. and we feel like we have a great player development staff here and super excited about about all that big game. You’re spot on. I mean, I think all of us watch the playoffs and just the way that the game’s being officiated now, there’s a lot more physicality in the game and so being able to add add a young young man like a D who’s just gifted. He’s just he’s a he’s a beast. Um, I think obviously we’re going to get him in the weight room and get him conditioned and but I think the tools that he has, you can really see a vision for him to being one of those really elite physical um, athletic wings that are so necessary to winning in the league. Super active. Um, we’re going to turn over every stone and um, whatever resources the the collective barding gives us, we’re going to use um, to the utmost. That’s what we got to do. And um, we have a couple players with player options. Um, so we’ll get those decisions in in just a handful of days. And at that point, um, we’ll know the tools we have to go out into free agency and fill out the roster. But, um, with the draft ending tonight, you know, the the work for that already begun, but the focus now will turn from draft focus to free agency. And, um, we won’t rest till we get it right.
