Are TWO potential moves brewing for Sacramento?
No heard of uh bringing in a guy like Russell Westbrook. Now that would be all gravy. Some would say adding a Hall of Famer. See what I did there? And a culture uh I don’t know. Can I ask you guys this? Is Is Russ Westbrook a uh is he a culture changer? Uh some might say for the negative, wouldn’t some? Yeah, I think some would like I’m not saying he is. Yeah, I’m not either, but some might. Yeah, but I’m saying like I I don’t know. I I know he I I’ve never heard of Russell Westbrook not playing hard. No, that No, that’s 100% his one of his probably his greatest attributes. I I don’t I don’t know. I mean, if it’s Russ Westbrook looking to uh you know, finish out his career and get his and uh you know, be super relevant. I don’t know why Russ would come here to be honest, unless nobody else I mean I mean this with respect. you have to respect his career, but um I don’t know why he’d come here and unless it’s just there’s nothing else there. Yeah. If you’re doing it doesn’t mean it’s this way, Dave, but like when you’re talking about and I think everything that Scott Perry has said, you know, he’s got his six criteria of the type of players for the culture that he’s looking for, but is there anything to the fact that not only Westbrook, if he does become a king, and Shruder have been on like six teams in the last six years? I mean, I I’m not saying they’re bad guys by any means, but a lot of times when I don’t know, when Russ went to Washington, the Wizards are probably thinking, “Okay, we want a guy who’s been a great player. He will help our culture.” So on and so forth, and boom, he’s a Laker, then he’s a Clipper, then he’s a Nugget. Like, he’s not staying on these teams. And the same for Shruder. And maybe it’s also, hey, look, they’re nearing the end contracts and different things. Maybe it’s it’s I don’t want to say coincidence, but it just seems a little odd that they both have been guys that have changed teams quite a bit. No, I think it’s a valid point. It doesn’t mean, as you said, it doesn’t mean they’re bad people, but let’s put it this way. I don’t think I don’t think any player sets out to move six times in seven years or whatever, you know? It’s not it’s not by their choice. Also, um I don’t know, dude. Um, I I I will say, let’s not forget that Scott Perry was on the staff that drafted Russell Westbrook and has known him since, you know, he was a kid at UCLA. So, there’s and that’s what you get with Scott Perry. You get those deep relationships. There’s obviously a relationship between the two. Um, I mean, and if Scott’s if Scott’s pitch is, hey, um, I I I’m trying to change a culture here, and I I I need your leadership. I need your drive. Um, you know, also, by the way, we’re going to give you 156 million a year. And, uh, you’re going to be, you know, a 45 minute Southwest flight because that’s how he would travel away from uh, your hometown in LA. So, you’re you’re as close as you can get uh without, you know, we’re not sticking in Washington or as you said or Charlotte or whatever. And I just don’t know what the market is for Russ Westbrook right now if I’m being really honest. How many teams out there either want or could fit a Russ Westbrook into their team? Yeah, obviously it’s pretty low. I mean, he would have been signed already. So, I don’t think there’s a ton. I think some people would would welcome him and and and think he could help, but it’s not a long list. And um yeah, so it just it gets to an interesting off season of of kind of trying to keep it pushing forward, but also, you know, we thought this from the get-go that Scott Perry was going to overhaul this roster and it’s not going to be every single player, but it’s it’s starting to slowly happen as far as changing out guys. Then you have the uh the Jonathan Kaminga stuff which you know obviously there’s been talks and and we’ve said before some of it some of it’s been a little overblown and a little little gun jumpy. Um but there’s there’s obviously interest from the Kings and Jonathan Kaminga and I don’t blame them. We we talked at length when you were gone, Jason, and a little before you left um about the potential of Jonathan Kaminga, how this might be I’m not saying it is, but this is the type of move a team like the Kings should probably make. Buy low, young, potential, high ceiling. Um the big thing over the weekend that was reported was that uh he he andor his camp had spoken with Kings Brass and that he was open to the idea of coming here, right? That I don’t know if you I assume you saw that report or some version of it. So I I look I’m not saying that didn’t happen. It probably did. But can I just can I just shockingly play play a little devil’s advocate here? In what way would it possibly benefit Jonathan Kaminga or his camp if they did have that conversation to say publicly in any way, shape, or form, uh, yeah, we met and, uh, I’m not open to the idea, right? He’s negotiating for a new contract and perhaps a new play. He needs all the leverage he can get. I’m not saying it’s not newsworthy. What I’m saying is I didn’t hear that and go, uhoh. Like, of course he’s going to say that things are happening. It’s imminent, right? He he he should he has to he has to leave all things open. Absolutely. Yeah. All of it has to be open. He’s he’s trying to he’s trying to figure out his situation there. So, uh we shall see. We will take a break when we come back. The big weekend for Nick Curts and the Oakland Athletics, too. Shouldn’t forget that as a team. We’ll we’ll we’ll talk about that right after this. The only place you’ll find Keegan.
The Sacramento Kings remain linked to Russell Westbrook and Jonathan Kuminga. Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross discuss the possibility of each addition to the Beam Team.

๐๐๐ in Scott Perry I trust ๐ช๐พ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ #BlackAndPurpleEVERYTHING!!!
VIVEK IS SMOKING TOO MUCH OF THAT CURRY CRACKPIPE.
Russell Westbrook would be fun to watch!
Would love Kuminga for the long term look of the team.
Wouldnโt mind Westbrook but would hate it if theyโre gonna pay him 14+ million a year.
If you can get Kuminga without moving Keegan Murray itโs worth the risk
Shaq was a journeyman too. He's literally got a meme of him wearing every color in the rainbow
Kuminga looks to be another one of those guys who moves around from team to team a fair bit.
Resuelve doesn t make sense
Im ready for bol bol and amir coffee. We have too many vets
wow. this video was a COMPLETE nothingburger.
