Boston Celtics TRADE Anfernee Simons To The Miami Heat? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Boston Celtics be trading away Anthony Simons to the Miami Heat this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Walker Kesler and a 27.7 million trade exception from Anthony Simons. Uh the Utah Jazz receiving Terry Roier, Haimea Hakez, uh Nemius Couta, a 2026 protected first round pick, a 2026 second round pick, a 2029 protected first round pick swap, uh as well as using the trade exception uh from Walker Kesler and the Miami Heat receiving Anthony Simons, John Ton, and a $3.9 million trade exception uh for Haimey Hawkins. So interesting trade here with actually a lot of financials with the trade exceptions uh mentioned in this deal. Now just kind of breaking it down from a basketball perspective. This is a pretty good trade or I think personally speaking for all three teams involved uh from the Celtics perspective. They get they get a center um you know for the foreseeable future in the form of Walker Kesler. A good young double double machine. A bit of a presence below the basket. doesn’t necessarily stretch the floor offensively speaking, but he’s a pretty efficient scorer uh from around the basket and defensively speaking can be a good presence as well um collecting rebounds. So, I think getting him who’s he’s still relatively young, especially as a replacement option for Chris Porzingis as well as Al Horford, likely not coming back to the team this off season, it’s a good move for them. So, I don’t mind this either from the Celtics perspective kind of flipping Anthony Simons into a player that perhaps fits a little bit better in Walker Kesler. the Utah Jazz. This is intriguing because they’re getting Terry Roier as well as Jaime Hawkins and a bunch of first round pick swaps and first round picks. So, it’s a pretty good move. I think Jaime Hawkins to me sort of my favorite player in this deal. Terry Roier is a nice veteran to add to the group, but perhaps he could be a trade candidate later on or whatever the case may be. But, they’re getting some good young talent here in Jaime Hakez as well as some draft capital. So, for a rebuilding team in Utah, I like this move for this team. Now, they are giving up on a good young player in Walker Kesler, but it’s not a bad idea to flip that into some assets when his value is pretty high. Now, from Miami Heat’s perspective here, I don’t mind this trade either. Like Anthony Simons, really, really, really like really solid player. Um, his time in Boston hasn’t even been that long. Uh, he of course was a part of the Drew Holiday trade from Portland. So, if they want to flip him for uh Walker Kessler, it wouldn’t really surprise me. I think he could fit in pretty well to this Miami Heat team in the back court like having a one-two punch next year of Anthony Simons as well as Tyler Herro. They recently acquired Norman Powell as well from the Clippers. So, this can be sort of a new and improved group next year in Miami and if you’re able to sort of flip Jaime Hawkins, who’s a good young player uh into a legitimate player like Anthony Simons, who’s still relatively young, um I think only about 25 26 years old, capable of being a 20 plus point per game guy. It kind of checks all the boxes this way. So, I actually like all I like I like the trade idea uh from all three teams perspective. If I sort of had to rank this deal, I’m going to probably go Boston one. I’m going to go Utah 2 and Miami Heat 3. But as always, leave your thoughts.
