So, could the Brooklyn Nets be trading away Nick Claxton to the Boston Celtics this 2025 NBA off seasonason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayworld.net. So this trade to me actually seems pretty realistic and pretty reasonable if both teams want to come together and perhaps move some players that have been speculated to be on the trade market this off season. From the Boston Celtics perspective, they did acquire Anthony Simons in that uh you know capsaving move for Drew Holiday earlier this off season. There’s been a lot of reports especially earlier on that maybe Anthony Simons could be a candidate to be flipped uh prior to the start of the season. Now, those talks have cooled off a little bit as we approach, you know, August around the corner, but it wouldn’t really surprise me if the Celtics are listening to offers on end for any Simons, and they’ve received, I would imagine, some offers for him. Like, he’s a player in his mid20s to 20 plus point per game guy, getting better each and every season. He checks a lot of boxes. So, from the Brooklyn Nets’s perspective, they would be acquiring a good young scoreer in the prime of his career, showing signs of getting better. So, uh, I think all things considered, this would be a pretty good move for the Brooklyn Nets, whose roster, in my opinion, is quite far from competing for a playoff spot, and this definitely helps, especially in the scoring aspect. So, yeah, not a bad move there. Uh, but as I mentioned before, from the Celtics perspective, I love this deal quite a bit. Uh, Nick Claxton’s a very valuable player to the Brooklyn Nets. He’s probably their most coveted player on the trademark this off seasonason. And if you’re able to acquire him, uh, you know, and solidify at the starting center position, plus getting back a second round draft pick is just kind of a free asset at this point for a player in Simons who you’re not super tied to, uh, for the future. Anyways, this is some pretty clean and tidy work from Brad Stevens and the Celtics front office. So, I like this trade for both sides, but if I had to pick a winner, I’m going to go with the Boston Celtics with uh them getting Nick Claxton. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
