Los Angeles Lakers TRADING Austin Reaves To The San Antonio Spurs? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Los Angeles Lakers be trading away Austin Reeves to the San Antonio Spurs this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Devin Vel, Stefan Castle, Jeremy Sohan, and a firstround draft pick. and the San Antonio Spurs receiving Austin Reeves, Gabe Vincent, Jared Vanderbilt, Maxi Cleba, and a second round draft pick. So, this trade’s pretty intriguing. Now, from the Lakers perspective, they would be getting a little bit more depth in this deal, uh, in the form of Facel, uh, Castle, who I believe went rookie of the year this past year, as well as Sohan. So, three pretty valuable younger players that could definitely develop in this Lakers system, uh, be good assets to play alongside Luca Dantric for the foreseeable future. And now it’s once someone like LeBron James is gone, there’s going to be more opportunities for these young guys to take another step and be sort of good pieces around Luca for the foreseeable future. Plus, you’re getting back a first round draft pick. Now, the Spurs do have a plethora of them, so not the end of the world there. Likely nothing crazy in that regard, but I like this move a lot from the from the Lakers perspective, especially if they’re a little bit scared to pay Austin Reeves longterm and what he could be commanding on his next deal. going a little bit younger with some more controllable assets like Vel Castle and Sohan plus a first round draft pick is truthfully a pretty good way for the Lakers to go. Now from the Spurs perspective they are getting back the best player right now that being Austin Reeves if they want to take another step as a franchise moving forward add some more legitimate players around Victor Wimpyama. I think Austin Reeves is a pretty good player for them to add. Now as I mentioned before he is going to be needing a new contract fairly soon and all signs point towards him asking for a ton of money. Is that going to be the case? I don’t know. But having a lineup next year of Dylan Harper, De’aran Fox, Austin Reeves, as well as Victor Wenyama. And you still have some other good players on this roster as well like Kellen Johnson for instance. That’s a really good team. And with how good the Western Conference is, you know, looking to be next year in 2025 26. I think Austin Reeves makes this team better now. He’s also young enough where he could be an impact player for the foreseeable future as WB develops in the prime of his career. But you’re also getting back some good veteran players too in the form of Gabe Vincent, Jared Vanderbilt, Maxi Kleba. This might not be a terrible approach either. Surround We Wy and the rest of this young core with some veteran players. Plus, you’re getting back a second round draft pick as well. This could be a pretty cool move for both sides. Now, in my personal opinion, I think this is a better trade for the Lakers to make. They have some financial flexibility with this deal. They’re getting a little bit younger in this deal. And for the Spurs, it’s not a bad deal, but uh you don’t want to put yourself in a top spot financially speaking and you want to have a deep roster at the same time. And I think in the in the future you probably get a little bit worse with this deal, but in the short term it is of course a bit of an upgrade. So as I mentioned before, the winner of this deal to me is the Lakers. Leave your thoughts.
