🔴Live I Warriors vs Thunder NBA Game Today I August 1, 2025 I GSW Warriors vs OKC Thunder 2K LIVE

Well, if you like scoring, we’ve got you covered. Yes, we do. Two highpowered offenses. And they’re not just talented, they’re relentless. A look at the opening lineup for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Some serious height in the middle. Homegrren the four, Hardenstein the five. Gilas Alexander runs the point with Dor at the two. And it’s Williams in at the small forward. Now here’s Gilas Alexander. Four on the clock and the shot is good. Dropping in off the front of the rim. Well, Shay Gil just Alexander that threelevel scoring ability that time working the mid-range outside. Moody with the floater. Oh, Williams with the block. Pass to Gildas Alexander. Hardenstein against Green. It’s rebounded by Jimmy Butler. And keeping us updated from the sideline, Alli Leforce. Steve Kerr gave me a few minutes to catch up with him. I asked him specifically about Shay Gilis Alexander and what their defensive game plan is for him. And coach said, “We have to be active. We have to keep him in front of us and to try to limit his chances around the rim. Their offense really opens up when he’s able to attack the basket.” So, let’s see if the defense is up for the challenge. PA, as always, Ally, we thank you. Now, here’s Dort pass to Gilas Alexander. The Warriors pull it in. Butler taking his time here. Now Curry outside heel. Now here’s Moody right side. Curry. I’ll tell you, with his rapid fire release, defenders are forced to leave their feet when Curry rises to shoot. And that’s why the pump fake serves him so well. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. Take break. Two shots. And that one falls for Curry. And so Curry nails both of them. to grab. Despite the Warriors success over the last decade, it hasn’t always been this way for this franchise. Yeah, they didn’t have many winning seasons before they got Steph, Clay, and Dre. And you know, BA, from 1978 to 2012, they made the playoffs just six times. Pass to Moody. Curry against Dort. Now here’s Curry. The D’s right on it over Dort. Curry. No good. The Thunder have gone one for three so far. Now Williams. Moody defends. Gilas Alexander with a ball. Hartinstein with a screen on heel. Here’s Gilas Alexander nails the baby hook. They can see the ball handling ability of Shay Gilis Alexander. Moves with precision, creates opportunities and pick and roll action. That’s nice. Now here’s heel. Pass to Moody. And here’s Butler. And there’s a whistle that’ll belong to Shay Gilis Alexander. That’s his first foul of the game. And it’s time to take another look at that powerful block. And that kind of rejection early on energizes your squad. The coaching staff just loves this kind of hustle. About 3 minutes gone here in the first quarter. Healed on the wing. Dort defending. Just five on the clock. fires the three. Gilchis Alexander with a rebound. And so it’s Gil just Alexander with it. He brings it up for Oklahoma City. Pass to Homegrren right side. Williams. Curry against Gilas Alexander. shoots over Curry and unable to get the go-ahead bucket there. Golden State has gone one of two from three-point land so far to the paint and he’s in the books now. One for two. Curry understands how to take a hit, prepares for it and makes the necessary adjustment. And we’ve got a timeout called by Mark Dagnel. He wants to make sure everybody’s on the same page. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Williams passes to Hartinstein and stolen by Green. In transition, here come the Warriors and he lays it in on the break. Well, Green likes to push the pace, that’s for sure. Great at making his way up the court and getting to the right spot. Now here’s Williams. Moody defends to the inside. Williams finds Gilas Alexander. Shot clock at five. Banked it in off the glass. Gilas Alexander’s got six points. Well, let’s remember that at 6’6, Shay Gilis Alexander can more than handle himself near the cup. Green. The pass to Curry. Zipped away. Oh, it’s stolen by Gilis Alexander. Over Curry. Oh, a great move from Shay Gilis Alexander. Give him eight points now. This guy is so elusive with the ball in his hands. SGA just understands how to get off the dribble drive. Curry passes to Moody. And here’s Curry. Gilg Alexander defending and stolen by Williams. Pass to Homegrren. Here’s Gil Alexander. Nails it from beyond the ark. Quick trigger there by SGAA. I’ll tell you on the catch, be ready to rise and fire outside. Butler, will it go? Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up. Now, well into his 30s, is it fair to start wondering how many seasons Jimmy Butler has left, Grant? Well, it’s a fair question, BA. But at the same time, Jimmy’s hunger is just so different than everybody else’s, which I could see helping prolong his career. That’s good from Butler. What I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with him. Butler hits them both. Here’s Gilis Alexander. 11 points in the game. and slam dunk by Gilgus Alexander. This guy is such an explosive athlete. Shay Gildis Alexander goes straight to the cup. Outside heel back to Curry. Goes up and lays it in nice and easy. Curry’s got six points. pounding it inside early and often, setting a physical tone. Gilg Alexander passes to Williams. His first shot coming late again. Oklahoma City. And I like when Williams works in these mid-range areas. I mean, such an impressive score. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. He wants to give him a breather and talk things over. Wonder. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Here’s Butler. Great D that time from Homegrren. That’s their plan to get him an opportunity to finish in tight. That’s a miss they can live with. Door to screen on Butler. Clock at six. Pass to Williams over Moody. Oh, a little luck that time as it drops. Now it’s a four-point Oklahoma City lead. He’s a producer. It’s part of their plan to get him as many touches as possible. Outside heel back to Curry over Gil Alexander and there’s Curry on the assist by Heel. Curry’s got eight. But you want to step him off the line, that’s no problem. Steph an efficient move into the mid-range jump shot. Hardenstein passes to Williams. the defense there doing whatever they can to protect the rim. And guys, let’s get your take on the scoring breakdown for Oklahoma City. The most consistent attack on offense so far has been the mid-range jump shot. We’ll see if they can keep that rolling. The other thing they’ve done a great job of so far is getting offense off of their defense, forcing turnovers, then quickly converting. First one falls. Pajimski’s checked in for the Warriors. Caruso, he’s checked in for Oklahoma City. And Williams drops them both. Warriors trail by four. Here’s Pajimski. Pass to Butler. There’s the drive. Launches it. Dort grabs the miss. And it’s Dort with the ball for the Thunder. Hardenstein with it. Green covering. Folgrren with it. Down low. Here’s Hardenstein. Another shot and he takes it up and lays it in and the Thunder lead by six. Well, as soon as you recognize a size mismatch, you have to attack. A chance here to catch up with Ally from the sideline. Hey, Brian. Chad Homegrren said, quote, “It’s exciting to have this sort of success early on because it’s just rare for young teams, but at the same time, we cannot let it distract us from how much better we have to get. Hopefully, we have a long runway together to figure things out.” Brian, a chance for great things, Ally. Thanks for that. Now, here’s Green outside. Butler Williams grabs the board and it’s Thunders ball. They’re on a 17-6 run. That’s the Homegrren. It’s tipped. Pajimky with it. And it’s Dort picking him up. Pajimky into the lane. And that’s what happens when you don’t take care of the ball. Hey, that makes the turnover hurt even more. At the end of the day though, it’s two points. Don’t hang your heads. Let’s get refocused and play with more patience. Now, here’s Homegrren. Hartinstein with a screen on Butler to the middle. He’s got a clear path for the finish. And it’s Butler with the jam. Well, you love to watch Draymond Green work on the defensive end. His activity seems to create opportunities for his teammates. Now here’s Dort. Still no points. Back to Williams. D outside. Here’s Hardenstein over Moody. And it’s Hardenstein that time on the assist from Homegrren. Don’t judge Homegrren by his size. He does have a passing skill set, finding shooters and getting them the ball. And up the court come the Thunder. On the break, Williams shot is good. And now it’s a six-point Thunder lead. And he is stronger than he looks, trust me. I mean, Williams has the bulk to win those tough battles inside. Here’s Butler again. Golden State. They seem to concede that shot and his response is, “Thank you very much.” Outside, Williams pass to Caruso. Here’s the pick. Ooh, plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws. It goes on Brandon Pajinsky. Oklahoma City shooting their third and fourth free throw shots of the night. First one falls for him and a new group getting ready for Oklahoma City. Williams has checked in for Hartinstein. Wiggins comes in for Homegrren. Wallace, he’s checked in for Dort. And Shay Gilis Alexander is subbed in for Williams. And Caruso drops them both. And so it’s Golden State with it. They trail by six. Pass to post. Back to Curry. And so he draws the foul. Headed to the line to shoot a pair. It’s going to go on Shay Gilis Alexander. Ideally, you’re trying not to send Stephen Curry to the line, but this guy creates those situations with his instinct and his ability. First free throw is good. Williams has checked in for Oklahoma City. And so Curry nails both of them. He’s making the most of every trip to the line, providing for his team. Williams, a screen on Curry. Pass to Williams from deep. Santos pulls it in. Well, the defense clearly was not interested in guarding him from downtown. They’re very fortunate he missed. Here’s Post. And here’s Curry. 10 points for him. Good efficiency. He’s drained four out of five. Very difficult to keep the ball out of Stephen Curry’s hands because of all his movement. He can shoot from anywhere and right now the defense has no answer. Now here’s Wallace defended by Pajimski. Wallace with it from downtown. Knocks it down from distance and the Thunder lead by five. Both teams are hot. Woo! This is a fun one to watch. Well, you love it when you can get off to a fast start offensively. You hate it though when your opponent does the same. What a performance for Shay Gilis Alexander. He has been the story for Oklahoma City. His fingerprints were all over that quarter. 13 points, leading the charge. And more NBA action on 2K Sports coming your way right after this. And for those of you just tuning in, second quarter action is where we are. And from what we’ve seen from Oklahoma City, what’s your take so far? They’re getting a big contribution from the bench already. As a coach, I think you get a certain feel for what your team needs. And credit this guy for not waiting around. He went ahead and made the adjustment. And Doris, some use the term stocks to add up steals and blocks. Chad Homegrren and Victor Wimyama stocks are through the roof. Well, in fact, since the turn of the century, only five rookies ever have averaged over three quote stops per game. Victor and Chad are both on that list. And listen, if you’re a passionate NBA fan, you are so excited about these two young men. The size and the skill and the eyepopping things they’re doing on a nightly basis. NBA is in good hands. Taking a look at the Thunder. Aaron Wiggins out there with Williams. Then it’s Alex Caruso. Then it’s Shay Gilis Alexander and it’s Wallace in at the shooting guard position. Now here’s Gilas Alexander. Double team on Gilis Alexander. Here’s Caruso will not go. Misses off the front iron. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Warriors. Here’s Santos. He’s guarded by Caruso. Stolen by Caruso. And a fast break now for the Thunder. Deflects the pass. Curry with a steal. here in the second quarter. A little over a minute of play. Well, Stephen Curry knows it’s his responsibility to create for his teammates and he does so there on point. And Oklahoma City shooting incredibly well, 63% and really making their shots count. Gilis Alexander against Curry. And Gilis Alexander missing. And for the Warriors, their shooting continues to impress 65% from the field. Outside Pajki, pass to Santos, outside Curry. Five on the clock. Three-pointer and a strong finish with two hands. And plays like that one can make the difference in a close game. And it definitely got the bench on their feet, too. Well, credit him for going for it, not settling, saying, “I’m going to attack.” Now, here’s Gilis Alexander. He’s got 13. And yep, it’s good. He’s very long. And SGA so effective around the hoop because of that length. As to Santos. Now, here’s Pajki. Watched by Wallace outside. Curry. Curry draws the double. Now here’s Pajki. Caruso grabs the board. Boy, a miss like that will drive any scorer crazy, especially with the defender giving a cushion to the paint. Here’s Gilas Alexander taking it inside. SGA and his fantastic performance from the last game has carried over to tonight. Now, I think that’s the one thing every player is searching for, consistency. They’re giving this guy a chance to carry the offense once again. Wiggins with a screen on Curry. He shoots. Can’t nail the jumper. The Warriors have gotten three or four field goals in the second quarter. Curry drives and he got the whistle on the way up. So, he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. There’s a number of ways Steph Curry can finish the basketball. He’s got English, he’s got touch, he’s got just about whatever you need to draw fouls. First free throw is good. Draymond Green, he’s checked in for the Warriors. He comes in for Santos. Hardenstein, he’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Lou Dord comes in for Wallace. And that one goes in. Two from the line that time. And we’ve got a timeout call by Mark Begnel. He wants a few moments to regroup with his players. And something fans don’t always get to see. Some of the closely guarded secrets that happen in that huddle. It’s tough to hide your communications. Teams go to great lengths to try to do it, but sometimes to no avail. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Just under three and a half minutes played here in the second quarter. Tight. Gilg Alexander against Curry. Now here’s Gil just Alexander. He’s closely guarded. That was nice, guys. The determination, the toughness, not going to shy away from the boards. Gil just Alexander against Curry. Back to Green. There’s the three. The Thunder pull it in. Grant, when you look at Draymond Green’s career, you think he’s going to the Hall of Fame? You know, BA, I believe so. He’s won multiple titles and we know how impactful he has been as a defender and distributor especially. I think we’ll see him in Springfield one day. Now, here’s Curry. 17 points in the game. Pass to Green. Six on the shot clock. Heel for three. And that one’s good. That makes him two for three. If you look at the active three-point percentage list, Mr. Buddy Heield is near the top. This guy is the very definition of sharp shooter. Wiggins with it, covered by Jackson Davis. Caruso outside. And they waste no time getting those three points back. Caruso’s got five now. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Well, that three-point shot just gives you so much room to operate on the offensive end. Gil just Alexander from outside. Jackson Davis grabs a miss. Golden State has gone two of three from beyond the arc so far in the second to the middle. Green gets up and powers it down. Boy, you love to see the lift Draymond Green gets on these dunks. Once he’s established, forget about it. Garuso pass to Wiggins. Sinks it from distance. These teams just feeling each other out. Yeah, I love the spirit out there. Already six lead exchanges. Pass to Green outside. Curry. Here’s the three and that comes off the assist by Green. Green’s got three assists now in this one. It’s so quick and Curry so elusive. This is what makes him such a tough cover, folks. And we’ve got a timeout called by Mark Dagnel. And we might see some changes. Coach potentially looking to adjust. And some changes here for the Warriors. Butler comes in for Jackson Davis. And Moody is subbed in for Pajimky. Homegrid. He’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Jaylen Williams comes in for Caruso. And Williams has got the ball here for Oklahoma City. Trailing by two. And another miss by Oklahoma City. The Warriors have gotten an impressive six of eight shots to fall in the second. Curry finds heel. Now Green pass to Curry. Down to five on the shot clock over Gilis Alexander. Curry no good. Oklahoma City has got four of seven threes to go so far in this game. and stolen by Green. Moody with it. Homegrren’s there. So, it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the act of shooting. It’s going to go on Chad Homegrren. All right, a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from here for the Warriors. Well, you got to be impressed with how selfless they’ve been so far. Their passing has been simply outstanding. Another strength for them today, guys. Mid-range shooting. Normally the defense wants to give you that shot. Let’s see if they adjust at all. And he can’t get the first one. And the second free throw is good. Grant, how about the rise of OKC in just two years, transforming from a 24- win team to the top seed. Incredible, BA. The Thunder drafted well and gave those picks lots of playing time. Plus, they made some fantastic trades. And of course, don’t forget OKC still has a boatload of picks. Golden State has gone three of four from outside so far in the second quarter. Let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with Alli Leforce. Hey Brian Sha just Alexander, the 11th pick back in 2018, has developed to the point where he is in the MVP conversation. His coach, Mark Dagnalt, said he’s improved every year. He’s been in the league. It’s a testament to his humility. He looks in the mirror, he sees what he needs to improve on, and then he works at it. Brian. All right, Ally. Thank you. We talk about Williams versatility as a scorer. He can get his points from just about any spot on the floor. Oklahoma City trailing. Now here’s Gildas Alexander. Three-pointer and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Curry’s got four rebounds in the game. And here’s Butler outside. You can’t forget about Homegr’s reach, especially when he’s nearby on defense. And the Thunder making a change here. Wallace has checked in. down low. Here’s Curry. Hardenstein pulls it in. Oklahoma City has gotten five of their nine attempts from deep to go. Pass to Homegrren. Williams with it. Six to shoot. Fades. Connects from downtown. Williams has got 13. And the vision is far past his years. Williams with great decision making. Outside heel now. Moody. Williams defending. And here’s Butler outside. Gets the three ball to go. He’s got nine. Both teams are starting to find a rhythm here. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Now, here’s Hartinstein. Pass to Homegrren. Dort against Heel. Dort. The pass to Hartinstein over Green. And it’s Oklahoma City scoring again. Oh man, this has been an absolute battle in the first half. Each team trying to establish itself. The lead just keeps going back and forth. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. He’s going to talk it over with his guys. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Pajimski’s checked in for Stephen Curry. Butler passes to Moody and again no good by Golden State. Oklahoma City’s gotten six of 10 three-pointers to drop. Pass to Dort takes the three and another three for Oklahoma City. Nice job by Lou Dort to make his way to the corner and then make the shot. Outside Pajki Green, the pass to Heield and here’s Butler outside. Hartenstein pulls it in. Hardenstein’s got a rebound number five here tonight. Wallace outside tries the spin move. The floater. Warriors with the rebound. There’s a minute 54 left in the first half of this game. Pass to Moody. Shot clock at six. Here’s Pensky. Watched by Wallace. The shot by Pajimky. No good. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. He just missed it. Wallace misses. Warriors trail by four. It’s Pajki on the wing. Kept alive. Back to Moody. Homegrren against Butler. Goes back up. The gritty finish from Butler there. I wouldn’t say Butler seeks contact, but he sure doesn’t turn it down. Williams on the wing. Moody defends. The three from Homegrren. Rebounded by Butler. Butler’s got four rebounds in the game. Healed for three. Hartinstein pulls it in and that close out certainly made a difference. Well, no question he altered that shot and most of the time that’s just as good as blocking it. Now here’s Williams. 13 points in the game and a miss there on the triple. About 7 seconds separating the shot and game clocks. Dort against heel. Pass to Pajimsky. Now here’s Butler defense right on him. Here’s an eight-footer. Homegrren with the block. You love that. Homegrren likes to send it back. Use that wingspan to full effect. Wallace. The pass to Homegrren. It’s not going to go for him. And we’re through the first half of play here in what’s been a good one. Thunder out in front. They lead by a bucket. And we’ll be right back after halftime to get the third quarter underway. And in that first half, we saw a pretty tight battle. We’ll soon find out what sort of adjustments were discussed during halftime. Stephen Curry having a dominant impact in this game. I love how effortlessly he scored. The game just comes so easy for him. And let’s see if he continues that trend the rest of the way. He certainly has the talent and the endurance to do just that. The Warriors trailing. Curry and heel to the sharp shooting back court. Jimmy Butler out there with Moses Moody. And it’s Green in at the center. And that’s the group for Steve Kerr as we begin the second half. Well, Draymond Green in the screen and roll as the roll man is a dangerous option because of his strength. Outside Williams pass to Homegrren beyond the arc for three. Homegrren impressive offensive versatility for big. He can show you a variety of looks on the wing. Curry shakes him. That one no good. Good work defensively by Gilgis Alexander. Thunder leading by three. Outside Williams and again Oklahoma City with a triple. A shot that Williams continues to work on. You love seeing these type of results. Doris, not only is the Thunder roster full of young talent, they also have a ridiculous amount of draft capital. BA, you’ve got to give a ton of credit to the front office. They’ve got multiple options going forward. Continue to draft and develop their talent or perhaps use those picks to trade for a superstar you believe fits. Now here’s Williams. 16 points for him. Takes one from 10 ft. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. He’s got four rebounds now. Pass to Butler. Shoots over Homegrren. Butler can’t get it to go. The Thunder have got two of three from the floor in this third quarter and he gets it to go as they call the foul. He’s on his way to the line for one more. This is one of the strongest 64 players in the league. Lord is not going to have a problem playing through contact and getting an N1 opportunity. Oklahoma City shooting their fifth attempt at the line in the game. What’s up? That’s good from Dort. And when you look back at the 2023 draft, the Warriors got great value out of their picks. Yeah. I mean, they got Pimsky with the 19th pick, a versatile player who impacts the game at both ends. And they also got Trace Jackson Davis late in the second round. And he is a fundamentally sound big man with great upside. The drive by Butler. Oklahoma City grabs a miss. Omgrren’s got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Pass to Gilas Alexander. Oh, the determination from Gilis Alexander. This is what he gives you night in and night out. Stellar production at the offensive end. Outside Butler lets a three fly that drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. Butler’s got 14 points. Wow. You don’t see Jimmy Butler go to the three-point opportunity that often, but knocks down a big time shot there. Gil just Alexander feeling it out a bit. It’s Dor on the wing guarded by Heel. Just five to shoot. Gil just Alexander from outside. Offensive rebound and Hartinstein gets it to go. That’ll drive your coach crazy failing to box out. And to me, this is a common theme that’s running through the league right now. Guys looking to leak out rather than box out. And Steve Cerr calls timeout here. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Warriors trail by seven. Now Curry 23 points in the game. Outside Moody pass to Butler. The three is up. Hartinstein pulls it in. Harden Stein’s got 10 rebounds here tonight. So active. Gilas Alexander with a ball. Green picks him up and a foul called on the way up. So he’ll take two from the free throw line. Let’s remember Shay Gil just Alexander is 6’6. So getting on the interior is not a problem. Oklahoma City shooting their sixth and seventh free throw shots in the game. Take two shot. That free throw good from Gilis Alexander. What you love about Shay Gilis Alexander is this young man’s work ethic. He is a gym rat who is always looking for ways to improve. Both free throws good from Gilas Alexander. Warriors trail by nine. We’ve gone about three and a half minutes here into the third. Curry buries the triple. You cannot give Curry an inch. This guy is relentless when he’s behind the ark. Williams passes to Dort. Back to Williams. Homegrren finds Williams to the inside. And there’s Gilas Alexander on the assist from Williams. Williams has got four assists in the game. And it’s Butler with the ball for the Warriors. Pass to Green. Oh, shoot. And the foul is called. He missed it. So, he’s got a couple of free throws coming his way. I don’t think you can help but admire what Draymond Green brings to the floor on a night-night basis. This guy plays with a giant chip and he wants his teammates to come with him. And he makes a first. and good on the second. So he makes them both. Oklahoma City leading by six. Outside Williams over Moody. It’s rebounded by Jimmy Butler. The Warriors have gone four of eight in the third. And Gilis Alexander with a block. How about that? to Shay Gilis Alexander a big time defender and sends that one back and he’s going to the line for two. The officials saw contact while he was going up. The Doris Chad Homegrren was one of the more highly talented guys coming into the league in a long time. He was BA and he has lived up to the billing at that size to be able to shoot the ball, put it on the deck, be a force at the rim defensively. But maybe his best attribute he is a tough competitor. That free throw misses. You know, after sitting out his first pro year due to a foot injury, Chad Homegrren was well worth the wait, Grant. Yes, he was. And Czech was actually guarding LeBron during a summer proan game when he hurt his foot. But Chad was a monster his rookie year. Already an elite shot blocker. That’s off as well. So, he misses both. And what you immediately notice about Chad Homegrren is his uniqueness. He’s got size, but also tremendous agility. He can hit outside shots or battle down low. Now here’s Heel. Nine points in the game. Pass to Butler. Six to shoot. Fires for three. The Thunder pull it in. He hasn’t been able to find his touch this quarter. Well, not at the offensive end. Certainly. He cannot buy a bucket right now. Here’s Gilgis Alexander. 23 points in the game. Inside the kick out to Williams and there’s a pick for three. The rebound by Moody and he probably thought he was going to bury that one down low. Here’s Butler. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. There’s a level of physicality that Jimmy Butler plays with that he’s going to force you to match. Nice job drawing contact. And a look at how the hustle game has been going for the Thunder. Their defensive intensity has served them well. It kept the offense scrambling and resulted in several steals. Those block shot numbers are big as well, guys. Sending a clear message. We are not going to be scored on easily. That’s good from Butler. And the Warriors making a change here. Pajimsky’s checked in. And also a switch here for Oklahoma City. Caruso has checked in. Butler hits them both. So it’s the Thunder now. Here’s Gilchis Alexander over Curry. SGA just powering through contact. Incredible focus there by SGA. The ability to absorb contact and continue through it. Heel against Caruso and the basket by Heel. He’s got 11. Oklahoma City leading by four. Caruso outside and he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So he’ll take two free throws. That one on healed. He’s gone two for two at the line so far. shot. That one’s off. and he’s good on the second. Warriors trail by five. And here’s Curry. He’s got 26. Butler good. Jimmy Butler playing with aggression right now. Boy, if he touches the paint, he is thinking score. And Mark Dagnel has called a timeout. He’s going to gather the troops and talk it over. Heat. Heat. We Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Hardenstein passes to Caruso. Back to Hardenstein. It’s Dor on the wing and that’s out of bounds. Oklahoma City will keep it. You see his active hands knocking that pass out of bounds. Well, that’s what you call a game of inches. They talk about it in football. We see it right there. Pass to Caruso. Five to shoot and it’s good. Off the back rim and in. Caruso’s got eight. Pick works well there, but the defense left a lot to be desired. It takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player. You’ve got to want to work. Now, here’s Curry. He’s got 26. Back to Pajimski outside. Curry Green with a screen on Gilis Alexander. Curry and it goes. That makes him nine for 13 now. Boy, the consistency he’s had tonight has been impressive. Really steady from the field. Thorn outside. Hardenstein a screen and stolen by Green right sidekill. Can’t tie it up. That one misses. What a nice individual defensive effort right there. Did a great job contesting now. Gilas Alexander to the middle. The shot by Gordon. No good. Warriors trail by three. Here’s Butler. The kick out. Curry for the tie. Williams grabs the board. The Thunder have gone eight of 13 in the second half. Dor outside. Hartinstein with a screen on Curry. Dor for three. Knocks down the long J. So Dorch got six points in the quarter. Well, L Dor expanding his skill set now. Able to run pick and roll action. Go ahead and dictate some offense, Lou. Outside heel from the arc. Hardenstein pulls it in. Hardenstein’s Guso the pass to Gilg Alexander, uses the glass to finish the layup and it’s an eight-point Thunder lead. The Warriors shooting 41% since halftime outside Pachki. Gilis Alexander against Curry. Green with a screen on Gilis Alexander. Oh, look at Green get his inside. Whether he’s improvising or whether he’s running set plays, Steph Curry is an absolute force. Outside, Gilas Alexander and it’s cleared by Stephen Curry. Curry’s got five rebounds tonight. Puts it up. The shot by Butler. No good. I’ll tell you, most of the time this guy’s going to finish that. But that was tremendous defense that prohibits him from completing the play. Woo! Defensively, you can’t afford to let him get to the rim that easily. Well, that might be why their deficit is what it is right now. I tell you, you can’t get stops if you’re unwilling to put in the work. Pass to Heel. There’s a minute 47 left to play in the third quarter. Butler passes to Green. Heel with the ball. This one for three. And that one’s good. And Green with the assist. Green’s got four assists in the game. Unfazed by the pressure. See, Buddy Heield is the kind of shooter that understands the defense is going to sell out. He just makes it look easy with good concentration. Williams misses. Well, whether it’s a defensive adjustment or he’s gone just a bit cold, that efficiency has really fallen off this quarter. Curry against Gilis Alexander. Oh, it’s blocked by Gilgis Alexander. Healed against Caruso. Healed with the defensive effort. Warriors trail by five. Outside Curry. Heel. A screen on Gilis Alexander. Here’s Curry. Oklahoma City grabs a miss. Hardenstein’s got his 16th rebound on the night. Caruso outside pass to Dort. We’ve got 33 seconds left to play in the third. Here’s Hardenstein. And another miss by Oklahoma City. Golden State has gone four of nine from beyond the arc since the break. Outside heel. Curry against Caruso. Green with a screen on Caruso. Healed from outside and it’s Shay Gilis Alexander with the rebound. Here’s Williams and he hits the jumper. Williams has got five points now this quarter. And so it’s Oklahoma City closing out the quarter with a seven-point lead. Their key to consistency has been their dominance in the paint. They’ve been the more physical team. Back to the game after this break. With three quarters behind us, let’s see what this fourth period holds in store. Oklahoma City leading by seven. Taking a look at Oklahoma City, they’ve got Alex Caruso. Williams is out there with Aaron Wiggins. Then it’s Kase Wallace. And it’s Gilgis Alexander in at the point. Just an artful little reverse slam. Power and style. That was sweet. As to Santos. And here’s Pajki. Jackson Davis with it. And here’s Curry for three. And the three-pointer goes. Curry’s got 31 points. Wow. You don’t see him left alone very often. And of course, he makes good use of it. There’s a screen by Wiggins. Gilas Alexander with a ball. Jackson Davis picks him up and the shots good by Wiggins. Both teams are starting to find a rhythm here. And this is partly what the game has become, right? a matter of dueling three-point opportunities to the paint and it’s flush down. A nice jam. Look at the power on that. He has to be one of the top dunkers in the game today. Here’s Gilas Alexander and he gets the bucket. Gilas Alexander’s got 12 points here in the second half. That’s a move you won’t see many guys make. Impressive stuff. Outside Curry from outside the arc and the rebound goes to the Thunder. Here’s Caruso. Deflected. Here’s Santos. He’s guarded by Caruso. Here’s Katimky. That drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. Curry’s got seven assists in the game. Well, the defense wants to collapse on Stephen Curry. It gives him a great opportunity to make a pass and have his teammate get a good look. Now, here’s Wallace. Back to Gilgis Alexander. Shot from 12 again. Oklahoma City. Opportunistic Shay Gilis Alexander gets one to go. Now here’s PMski. Watched by Wallace. Now here’s Pajki. Outside Curry. Clock at six. Oh, he took a hard foul on the shot. So he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair. Well, Curry, despite his frame, is able to do a ton of damage inside the paint. He can draw fouls with great regularity. And the first one at the line is good. Heels checked in for the Warriors. And Oklahoma City with a change here, too. Lou Dort, he’s checked in for Wallace. He does not get the second one. Oklahoma City leading by seven. Now Caruso Wiggins outside. Pass to Williams. There’s a screen by Wiggins. Gort for three. Called in by Curry. Curry’s got six rebounds here tonight. Here’s Santos. And here’s Jackson Davis. Pounded by Wiggins. Now here’s Heel. Shoots over Caruso. And it’s Heel missing. Analytics already don’t favor the mid-range jumper, let alone against exceptional defense. Gil Alexander on the wing. He’s covered by Curry. Curry against Gilas Alexander. Here’s Caruso. Gets rebounded by Golden State. Jackson Davis has got his fourth rebound in this one from behind the ark. That one doesn’t drop and it’s Dort with the ball for the Thunder. Here’s Gilas Alexander. And right through it goes. Gilas Alexander’s got 33 points. Boy, you respect the shot selection from Shay Gilis Alexander just taking what the defense gives him. field passes to Curry and the Warriors miss again. Oklahoma City leading by nine and here’s Gilg Alexander to the middle gets stolen by Heel. They’re running the pull up Jay Dort grabs the miss. Oklahoma City’s gone one of two from deep in this quarter. Pass to Caruso. Dor with it. Wiggins with a screen on heel inside and he goes strong with the one-handed jam. Nice pass by Blue Door. You’re playing in pick and roll and your teammates open. You find them. Nicely done. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. He’s decided it’s time to clarify the situation, leaving little room for error. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Draymond Green. He’s checked in for the Warriors. Butler comes in for Santos. Hardenstein. He’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Jaylen Williams comes in for Caruso. Time now to hear from our reporter Ally Leforce. I was able to listen in on what Steve Kerr had to say to the team. He wants his team to be careful with the ball. He’s not happy with the amount of turnovers they’ve coughed up so far. He believes if they focus on being more patient on offense, that will help cut down on the giveaways. Guys, back to you. Great work, Ally. Thanks. Now, here’s Green. Boy, I love watching Green take it all the way to the rack. With his size and speed, he puts a ton of pressure on the defense to foul him. And he knocks down the first one. He makes one of two that time. Thunder leading by 10. Williams passes to Gilis Alexander. healed with the defensive effort. Golden State has got two of five threes to go here in the fourth. Butler Jimmy Buckets locked in for Oklahoma City. They’ve gotten six of 10 attempts to drop in the fourth quarter. Door outside. Pass to Gilis Alexander. Hardenstein against Green. Wiggins for three. Rebounded by Green. That’s his shot and one I’m sure he wants back on the wing. Curry. Here’s Jackson Davis and here’s Butler outside. Oklahoma City grabs a miss. Gilis Alexander’s got four rebounds now. Dort finds Gilis Alexander. Back to Dort. Now Williams called in by Curry. Curry’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Healed against Dort outside Butler and Butler inside. Oh, just an easy reverse for him. He has nice feel and touch around the bucket. And here’s Gilis Alexander. He’ll bring it up for the Thunder. Wiggins outside. Pass to Hardenstein. Williams with it. Butler covering. Oklahoma City’s got to hurry. They got to get up a shot. And another miss by Oklahoma City. Warriors trail by six. Now here’s Jackson Davis on the wing. Curry. Good work defensively by Gilas Alexander. Oklahoma City’s gone only one of four from the Wow. And we see the speed and power. I mean, Williams shows off on that one. The Warriors have gotten five of 12 shot attempts to go so far in the fourth quarter. Pass to Jackson Davis. And here is Green outside. Curry back to Green and the rebound goes to the Thunder to the inside and Wiggins gets it to go. The assist from Williams and now a 10-point Oklahoma City lead. outside. Curry pass to Heel. Jackson Davis’s screen. Golden State needs to get off a shot. And here’s Green from the arc and that one falls. His fifth basket in seven tries. Boy, you have to respect how aggressive Draymond Green is. If he’s got the ball in his hands, he’s ready to fire. Hardestin passes to Dort. Here’s Gilg’s Alexander. And again, it’s Oklahoma City and trying to put the game away. He’s been nails all evening. And he hasn’t forced much tonight. I love the efficiency he’s giving to them. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. He is not messing around. Calling them into the huddle. Moody’s checked in for Jackson Davis. Homegrren, he’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Get off the screen. Green finds Curry. Oh, Curry. What a tough finish. Well, we know Steph Curry has a ton of fun on the court because he can score from virtually anywhere, but that floater is a must-have tool in the toolbox. Pass to Dort outside, Williams. Hold inside. Butler covering and it’s Homegrren missing. Warriors trail by seven. Moody passes to Green. Oh, look at Draymond flexing with that finish. Draymond Green never backs away in big possessions. In fact, you get the sense this guy loves the spotlight. Curry against Gilas Alexander. Pass to Hardenstein. Homegrren with it outside. Just five to shoot. Oh, it’s blocked by Green. Simply cannot throw up that paint stuff around Draymond Green. You’ll hear about it. He will relish the opportunity to send it back. We’ve got a minute 48 left to play in the fourth quarter. And they’ve been producing at a high level. No question. They’re in a nice rhythm offensively. Here’s Curry. Got a piece of it. Short outside. It’s tipped. Wow. Buddy Heels sending it back. How about the defensive play? Curry passes to Butler. Oh, a clear foul there on the missed shot. So, he’ll get a pair at the line. It’s going to go on Chad Homegrren. And that hurts as he doesn’t get the first one to ball trying to focus now for the second and he’s able to hit the second one and that shrinks the margin to just four. Just a tough miss at the line. They’re down two baskets now. Curry against Gilis Alexander. Shoots over Curry. Gilas Alexander shot is good. Gilis Alexander’s got 10 points now just in this quarter. Now Shay Gel Alexander by virtue of skill and temperament so ready to deliver in these moments. Curry against Gilas Alexander. Rejected by Homegrren outside. Gil just Alexander. There’s 47 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter of this one. He buries it from three. Gil just Alexander’s got 40 points. Stepping up and nailing an important shot to put this away. Yeah. Playing with great energy and great effort. And as a coach, you’d love to see this from your team every single night. And I’ll tell you what, this game is in the books. Not quite sure why they’re delaying the inevitable by fouling. 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter here. Gilg Alexander from outside. Oh, the Thunder. Another three. And they came in here with some attitude and it brought out their best play. And I couldn’t agree more. What makes it that much more impressive, they’re doing it on the road. Now here’s Curry. Pass to He outside Butler. looking to win the run. Rejected by Homegrren. They recover it. Gilas Alexander with a steal. And so it’s the Thunder taking care of business in this one. Boy, a nice win on the road. By the time this one was winding down, this building was stone cold silent. And that’s exactly what you got to do. You have to try to take the crowd out of it. And that about wraps it up for Ali Leforce, Doris Burke, and Grant Hill. This is Brian Anderson alongside our 2K Sports crew thanking you for watching. And now time for our player of the game, Shay Gilis Alexander. Heat. Heat. R.J., this one has a bit of an old school feel to it, doesn’t it? These teams love to run things down low. Yeah, it’s going to be a heck of a matchup, Kevin. A little bit of bully ball, you could say. Having a center you can run your offense through makes the rest of your offense that much better. So here’s Oklahoma City’s starting group. The four and the five of the lengthy pair of Homer and Hardenstein. Gilis Alexander runs things with Gord to his side and it’s Williams at the three. The small forward. Now here’s he outside Curry. Shot clock at six. three-pointer. Gilas Alexander pulls it in and it’s Oklahoma City’s ball. Williams passes to Gilg Alexander. Good for the basket. Starting off one for one with that shot. And good work inside. SGA will make more room for himself on the perimeter when he can be effective down low. Now here’s Moody. Back to Curry. Homegrren against Butler. Healed with a screen on Homegrren. Goes up the baseline. It’s rebounded by Hartinstein. And not allowing the shooter even an inch of breathing room on that one. I’m sure they’ll think twice about shooting against him next time. Got to applaud the defensive effort. It’s not easy to stop him getting in the lane like that. Moody with it. Working on Williams outside. Curry the three. Sinks the three-pointer. Honestly, guys, Curry is the best three-point shooter I’ve ever seen. Gilg Alexander kicks to Homegrren. Pass to Hartenstein. Solid play on the low block and that one’s good. Great recognition of the mismatch abusing the smaller defender quarter eye. And now we’ll go to David Aldridge who spoke with Steve Kerr. David Andy knows his team has its hands full going up against Shay Gilis Alexander. Coach said Shay is one of the best in the league when it comes to scoring off the bounce. And when he’s not scoring, he’s kicking it out to an open teammate. So we have to make sure our rotations are quick. We’ll see how the defense responds. Kevin, thank you, David. And it’s out of bounds. Oklahoma City able to retain possession here. And a little over two and a half minutes gone here in the first. Tries the spin move. Gil Alexander. He hits the back iron and sinks the shot. Gilg Alexander’s got his second bucket. And I love the tenacity, guys. He simply can will his way into games at times and exert his presence. Now, here’s Moody. He sets the pick for Green. Shot clock at five. In the corner, it’s Field. Good play by Green to set it up. Field showing his quick release and Mark Dagno calls timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Here’s Gilis Alexander. Pass to Hartenstein. Now Dort Williams looking around for three. Holding good. And it’s Williams who picks up the assist. Williams has got three assists in the game. Green with the ball. He’s defended by Hartinstein. Draws contact on the shot. And now a three-point play chance as he’ll head to the line. And Curry’s not the biggest guy, but he can sense the contact coming and makes the adjustment. The Warriors shooting their first free throw of the game. Find the lane. Find the lane. No shot. The greatest shooter ever, Steph Curry. You played with him. What was it like seeing him day in and day out? I had the pleasure of playing with Steph the first year he broke the NBA record for threes in a season. And when I tell you he was just scratching the surface, he was always looking to push the boundaries to see what he can do and to work at every aspect of his shooting. Here’s Moody after the main shot from Shed Holren. Back to Curry. Lets it go from deep. The Thunder pull it in. And here is Dort. Nothing on the board. Williams. Green with the block. This is the high impact D we expect from Green. An intelligent defender who can find these blocks. You got to love his hustle. Leaving the defense no time to react. And all of a sudden, that man was just on the other end. Wow. Pass to Homer. Gilg Alexander against Curry to the inside. Here’s Hartinstein. Misses off the right iron and so Green will bring it up for the Warriors. And the rejection by Holren Long 71 with that 76 wingspan. Homer can alter or block just about every shot in his vicinity. And even without that three ball dropping for him, the defense should have done more on that last play. When it comes to players who like having fun, Greg, Jimmy Butler has to be way up there. Kevin, did you see his media picture for the 232 24 season? He looked like he belonged in an emo band with that hairstyle. Jimmy is definitely one of those guys that likes to troll and have fun. and he can’t get the first one. Richard, we know that not many teams have had steady core players like the Warriors have had over the past decade. Well, there’s so much player movement these days, and it’s hard to keep any roster intact, let alone a superstar team like Golden State. That one misses. Normally he sinks all of his free throws. The defense got lucky there. Here’s Williams. Green with the rebound. Green’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. Pass to Butler and the rejection by Holren. Dort against Heield. Dort passes to Hartinstein. Back to Dort. Now here’s Gilas Alexander. Green with the rebound. Greens got his sixth rebound on the night. Pass to Curry. Homegrown against Butler. Back to Curry. Three-pointer. That ball is in the basket. Now he’s shot six and made three of them. Such a big release. As soon as the ball touches his hands, it’s gone. And Mark Dead calls timeout here. Wants to talk some things over. Might be seeing some things to adjust. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. outside. Gilgis Alexander. outside Williams and he gets it to go. Hitting off the back of the rim and his presence as a scorer, it it just has a calming effect for the rest of the team. He’s a fallback option whenever they need one. Now here’s Moody. Scoreless thus far. Great work inside by Curry there. So clever and composed in the paint. Thunder trailing by three. Gilgis Alexander kicks to Dort. They set the pick. Pass to Homegrren. Five on the clock. Some nice passing by Oklahoma City here. Curry with the steel. And here we go with Courier running it up the court. The kick outside to Butler. Curry against Dort. Curry on the wing. He’s got 11. Four on the shot clock. Pass to heel from outside the arm and Homerren pulls it down. The Thunder have gone six of 14 shooting the ball since the start of the game. Here’s Gilas Alexander. Score the basket. His third after five shots. And he had a good look and Gilgus Alexander made it pay off. Healed the pass to Green. Curry looking it over. Makes the bucket. Now he’s got five field goals. Five for eight in the game. And they’ve scored several times already here in the first quarter on the inside. Homegrren kicks to Gilis Alexander. They get it back. Homegrren finds Williams. Back to Homegrren and stolen by Butler. It’s Chad Homerren with the rebound. Homegrren’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Gil Alexander. Good. Yeah. And there it is again. On a lot of their possessions this first half, they’ve established great inside position. Healed outside. Butler on the way. Pass to Moody inside. It’s stolen by Gil Xiaoender. all alone and it’s Williams throwing it down. What awareness from Gilg Alexander on the defensive end. Finds a steal and starts a fast break. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with his guys. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. several teams changing it up here. The Warriors trailing now. Pajimski. There’s the pick to the middle and he takes that one up and powers it through. We’ve seen the lead change hands quite a bit in this one. And guys, I think each team knows they can win this game. Just a matter who can catch that momentum. Now here’s Williams. Wiggins surveying the floor. Williams has a screen for Wallace. drains it from beyond the arc. And he likes to get in a rhythm early. Nice triple and so it’s Butler with it. He’ll bring it up for Golden State trailing by two. Pass to Pajki. Down low. Here’s Jackson Davis. Thunder with the rebound. And he’s usually able to score on that type of defense rather easily. Surprising to see him come away empty. good on the shot and it’s a four-point Thunder lead. How about that move? You’ll see very few players able to pull off just sensational stuff. And with an update from the sidelines, let’s check in with David Aldridge. Kevin, thank you. Jaylen Williams is a doit all dynamo for the Thunder. Coach Mark Dagmol said, “We’ve crossmatched him onto centers. He’ll shift him to a point guard.” It’s hard to explain how impactful that is for you. You have a great offensive player that you’re also moving all over the lineup. Kevin Da the versatility that is pretty special off the mark with the outside fadeaway. You can’t look at the result of that shot. They’ll take that whenever they get it. Yeah, it’s a great look for him. One they’ll try and manufacture again. Those are the shots you want him to take. And yep, finally drops after rolling around the rim. Butler’s got it all tied up now for the Warriors. Oklahoma City has gone two of four from beyond the arc to start the game. Here’s a screen by Williams. And he gets the basket. Officials blowing the whistle. So, a chance at the line for one more. Used the pick to perfection and got all the way to the rim. He’s getting his first free throw attempt of the game here. Stephen Curry has checked in for Butler. And Oklahoma City with a change here too. Elis Alexander’s checked in. That one misses for Caruso. Golden State’s gone three of seven from three-point range in the first quarter. Santos no good on the three. Two for one chance here. Let’s see if they use the clock to their advantage. Caruso the pass to Gilg Alexander. There’s 25 seconds left in the first. Six to shoot. 16 ft away. It’s hauled in by Jackson Davis. Here’s Santos defended by Caruso. Curry with it from deep three-point land and the last second attempt doesn’t fall. Shay Gilis Alexander guys has been on display for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He notched eight points in the quarter and has that terrific basketball instinct on display. We’ll get right back to the action when we return. And this has been a fairly close game through the first quarter. And we’ll see what happens here in the second. And some stats here, guys. The scoring breakdown for the Thunder. They’ve made a point to take what’s given to them in the mid-range. The jumpers are falling for them so far. And not only that, their elite conditioning evident from the pace they’re playing offensively. Boy, they are getting out and running. The Warriors shooting pretty good tonight at 48%. So the Thunder right now, Williams is out there with Wiggins. Then there’s Shay Gilis Alexander and it’s Alex Caruso. And it’s Wallace in at the shooting guard position. Now here’s Curry. A second chance effort to the wing on the left. Golden State needs to get off a shot. A rebound by Gilas Alexander. Wallace right side on the wing. Gilis Alexander. Pastor Williams. Greg, what a great time to be a fan of basketball, not just in the NBA, but all over the world. Absolutely, Kevin. The sport just continues to grow and there’s increased value being placed on allaround skill, even in youth basketball, and I think that bodess well for the future of the game. Another miss by Curl. The Thunder with the lead. Wiggins outside Oklahoma City moving it around. Wallace dishes to Wiggins and wrestling for it there, but no one has possession. He’ll have a jump ball. Pajki with it. Wallace on him. Shot is good. Pajimski’s got the game tied up here for the Warriors. And Gilas Alexander’s got the ball here for the Oklahoma City Thunder. No points yet here in the second quarter for them. And they call the foul. So a chance at the line for one more coming up. No. Strong take by SGA. 66 with point guard skills. What a nightmare matchup he is. The Thunder shooting just their second attempt at the line tonight. And one of the highlights last year for this group was the fact that they were so efficient from the charity strike. That’s a huge factor. That’s good from Gilis Alexander. Nearly automatic Gilg Alexander. No slouch from the line. Gilas Alexander against Curry. Here’s Santos. He has yet to score. Pass to Jackson Davis. Down to five on the shot clock. Here’s Curry. Three touch on the 16-footer. On a night like tonight, Steph Curry is mustwatch basketball. He can score from anywhere. Outside, Williams. Wallace outside trying to find Gilgish Alexander gets it to him. He made the only free throw attempt he had earlier in the game. And you know guys, he had a big game at the free throw line in their last outing. That’s good from Gilg Alexander. Gilgis Alexander hits them both. Just solid. Really one of the very best there is at the free throw line. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. He’s ready to talk things through with the team. Get
