So, could the Golden State Warriors be trading away Buddy Heield to the Washington Wizards this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. But this trade would see the Miami Heat receiving CJ McCollum, the Phoenix Suns receiving Jonathan Kaminga, the Golden State Warriors receiving Grayson Allen, Haywood Highmith, and Nick Richards, and the Washington Wizards receiving Terry Roier, Buddy Heields, and four second round draft picks. So, a very intriguing four team blockbuster deal that of course would see Jonathan Kaminga, who in my opinion would be the focal point of this deal. finally end up in Phoenix. Uh there’s been a lot of speculation the last little while now about Phoenix and their offer for Kaminga about four years 90 million bucks and their interest to acquire him via the sign and trade market. So this trade would of course expand that and maybe make it more likely for the Warriors perhaps to accept this deal if some more teams were involved. So kind of breaking down this trade now from the Heat’s perspective, they’re getting back a pretty good solid veteran in the form of CJ McConnell. Uh CJ McConnell, you know, pretty solid player. definitely not in the Wizards long-term plans despite acquiring him this off seasonason in the Jordan pool trade. So, that wouldn’t surprise me at all if they wanted to get a little bit younger and flip him elsewhere. And if you’re a team like the Miami Heat who could use some more scoring and just a little bit more um offense on the team next year, uh CJ McCollum can be that guy and maybe a bit of a lower role on this roster, but perhaps he could be a good fit and he’s a good veteran at this point. So, I like the idea of McCollum going to the Heats for a relatively lower asking price. Uh from the Sun’s perspective here, as I mentioned before, they get the prize position that they’re looking for in Jonathan Kaminga. You know, he’s only 22 years old. He has shown flashes in the past of potentially being like a really talented offensive player in this league. He just kind of needs a new change of scenery at this point. And if he were to go to Phoenix, that would be exactly that. Now, a bit of a log jam in their back court with Devin Booker, uh Dylan Brooks, and Jaylen Green. But, uh, good teams can figure it out, and this could be a cool opportunity for Kaminga to perhaps have more of a role in this offense, get some more minutes, and be the player that he wants to be. So, the Suns get their guy. I like this deal. The Warriors, this is interesting because they get a little bit deeper in this deal, but they don’t get anything in regards to star power. Grayson Allen and Hwood Highmith are solid players that could, I think, come off the bench on this team. Provide some good minutes kind of up and down this uh Warriors rotation and it just provides some more depth to a team that’s a little bit up there in age. Um, injuries could be a concern. So, if you want some reinforcement options, Grayson Allen and Haywood Highmith, as well as even Nick Richards for their front court are all pretty solid moves. Nothing nothing flashy here. And the ceiling, of course, isn’t very high. And you’re giving up Kaminga and healed. So, does it make them that much better? I don’t know. Uh, but it’s a bit of a new look at the very least. Now, from the Wizards perspective, they’re taking on decentsized contracts here, plus draft capital. So, Terry Roier is a player that the Heat want to desperately trade. He could be a nice player on this Wizards team. can be pro provide some veteran leadership. Uh Buddy Heal is sort of the same way. Buddy He’s a tremendous scorer um from the perimeter. So, I think if he were to go to this Wizards team, perhaps his stats could go up and he could be a good role model uh as well with just more of a veteran leadership presence in this young locker room. Plus four second round draft picks for a rebuilding team in Washington. Never a bad thing to have. So, interesting deal. If I had to rank this trade, I would probably go with the Phoenix Suns one. I’ll go with the Wizards 2, the Heat 3, and the Warriors 4. But as always, leave your thoughts.
