Pat Riley made a trade Heat fans. Miami is acquiring Norman Powell in a three-team deal with Utah and the Clippers. Miami sends Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, and a second round pick to the Jazz. The Jazz send John Collins to Los Angeles. And Miami gets Norman Powell. I am stunned by this, but I could not be happier with the move. One, Norman Powell is a good asset to have on an expiring $20 million contract. You can have him stay with your roster, show out like he did last year, and you can flip him at the deadline for a potential first round pick. To me, that makes so much sense for the Miami Heat. And all you had to do is give up two players that are essentially expirings and Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love, plus one second round pick. Oh, and then here’s the other added benefit.
