Miami Heat MISS OUT ON LUKA! Tyler Herro Gets MEGA Extension – Major Miami Roster Shake-Up!

[Music] They have been purposely disrespecting Bama Adabio every year with this DPOI thing. So Jason breaks down why he thinks Bama is a better defender than Evan Mobley. I do think Bamio is a better defensive player than Evan Mobley. I do not view Evan Mobley in the conversation for the best defenders in the NBA. Now he is a good defender. However, Ben Maraba could guard one through five. He could switch. He could pick up for anybody. He could pick up at half court. He can go from guarding Kyrie to guarding Joel Embiid. And I feel like a lot of people have been disrespecting him year after year after year. You’re telling me that he hasn’t had one DPOI yet. And he can’t even get playing off the floor. And when he’s not on the floor, bro, the defense literally collapses. I just don’t get it at all. Let’s get into the video. Evan Mobley is a tiny bit overrated. uh I would not have given him defensive player of the year last year. I do believe that Evan Moley is a very very good defender, but for instance, I do think that Bameabio is a better defensive player than Evan Moy. I do not view Evan Mobley in the conversation for best defenders in basketball. Again, a big part of it is he wasn’t very good on switches. In that list of 151 players who defended at least 50 ISOs that BAM was third place on, Evan Mobley ranked 66th on that list. He allowed 27 more points per 100 ISOs than Bam Adabio did. And his weakness, again, we talked about it a little bit earlier when we were talking about Bam. Bam was picking up pullup shooters outside the three-point line and stunting at the ball. This is why I always tell Miami Heat fans to not get their hopes up and stop talking about, oh, 2026 and the future this and that. No, Luca has signed a three-year $165 million maximum contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. That’s why the Miami Heat have to worry about what they’re doing right now. I think the East is still wide open. You don’t really have to worry about the Celtics, the Pacers. like you’re able to make a deep run and especially with Norman Pal, DaVon Mitchell, Bameau, Tyler Herro, like you know, plus Andrew Wiggins, I know a lot of people aren’t a fan of him, but I think we honestly have a solid roster and going into training camp, I think we can honestly go to the Eastern Conference Finals. These are the seasons where you look back and you’re like, well, how did they make it? One, because we have a decent team and then the East is weak. Eric Spra, our defense, experience, all these different things matter. But once again, that’s why I am not going to sit here and wait for stars because we never get stars. Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, Damen Lillard, Bradley Beal, and the list goes on. Now we miss out on Luca. This is why we have to prioritize every decision that we make going forward. It matters because it’s going to affect us in the future. We might have to tank another season or two. Why? Because that’s that’s what you have to do. If you can’t get stars, how else are you going to get a star on your team? Trades are so difficult nowadays. And especially with the jealousy and envy and the hatred that they have for the Miami Heat, they won’t even allow us to get a star. This is the one question that we ask ourselves every single off season. So according to Greg Sander, Tyler Herro would be seeking an extension around 41 to 42 million range annually. So my question to you guys, are we keeping Tyler Hero? Do you guys do you guys want to trade Tyler Herro? Like how do you guys value Tyler Hero on this team? I think that he’s a good young player. Obviously, he was an all-star last year. He won the three-point competition. Every year he really does get better. Obviously I really can’t blame Tyler Herro because at the same time think about it we’ve had terrible offense for years even when we had Jimmy Butler and then when Jimmy Butler was out how do you expect Tyler Herro to carry the offense when Bambio doesn’t want to shoot the basketball and then your next best player is Haywood Heismith. So then obviously the defense is going to key on Tyler and pretty much take him out the game. Now I know a lot of other people are going to say yeah but other players they’re able to do that. They’re able to get over the defense. Not every player is like that and that’s actually a very hard thing to do. So yes, did Tyler Hero fall short in a lot of different moments? Yes. But the roster construction and the offensive firepower that we’ve had has been atrocious. Literally atrocious when Jimmy Butler is dropping 56 points and he’s not even known as an offensive guy. That’s when you know that you have major problems offensively. Not only one year, but what for the past what all the Jimmy Butler run? Five years in a row we’ve had for the third quarter we can’t crack 90 points. And like I said, is it all Tyler Herro’s fault? No, because you also have Bam at a bio who’s very passive. He doesn’t look to always score. He doesn’t look to be aggressive offensively. So, I do think Tyler Hero should be extended, but it needs to be at the right number to where you’re able to still improve the team and still have defenders and scorers around Bama and Tyler. It has to make sense. I understand he wants to get paid, but the team comes first and it’s this is all about winning a championship at the end of the day. DaVon Mitchell and Norman Pal are going to be huge upgrades for this Miami Heat team. So, bam bio on DaVon Mitchell returning to the Miami Heat. Da’Von being back. Obviously, we’ve been missing somebody that can really play on ball defense. I’m looking forward to him being there a full year of us being together and getting to know one another and turning this into more of a brotherhood. And he’s right because when you sit back and look, our point of attack defense has been terrible outside of Drew Smith, which that’s not even saying that much already. We desperately needed somebody to stay in front of the ball. Bam. I’m going to buy on the addition of Norman Pal. I feel like Norman is one of those guys who floats under the radar, which is true. You’ve seen what he’s done and you’ve seen him grow in this league. Obviously, the next challenge is being with the Miami Heat. So, I’m happy to have him. It’s a very good shakeup of our team and and now it’s a different dynamic to it that we’ve desperately needed. We have a shakeup and I know a lot of people they don’t want to talk about Andrew Wiggins but Andrew Wiggins, Norman Pal, Tyler Herro, Bam Adabio, DaVon Mitchell, Kawware, like we have a solid group. As long as this team competes every night and they come out there and they’re healthy, I really do think we could be a top six seed. I’m just tired of us being in the playing.
