De Aaron Fox For Coby White? Chicago Bulls Mock Trade Review!

Sports Illustrated presented a mock trade that will get Dearon Fox to the Chicago Bulls. We going to review it and see if we like it or screw it. But first, we got to hear the music gang. Hey, the Chicago Bulls, it’s been kind of dry when it comes to to news. Uh, now then, you know, you got the main story everybody’s looking for and Josh Giddy. Uh, what’s going to happen to him? And also people are keeping an eye on Nick Vuch and what’s supposed to be uh us getting rid of this guy. But I’ve been looking through doing my daily research and I come upon this Sports Illustrated article and they proposed the mock trade that will send the Aaron Fox to the Chicago Bulls. It’s a three team three team deal involving the Atlanta Hawks, the Chicago Bulls, and the San Antonio Spurs. Let’s go over the trade. The Hawks would receive IO Dumo. We’ll touch on this in a minute. I know that just hurt y’all soul when y’all heard that. It hurt me as well. The Bulls received De’Aran Fox, a guy named Kobe Buffkin, and a top eight protected 2029 firstround pick via Atlanta. And the uh San Antonio Spurs received Kevin Herder, Kobe White, and a top 10 protected 2027 first round pick. Well, um let’s just start at the head. Uh, what makes this deal go is De’arren Fox and Kobe White. Like, how do I like this deal? Do I like De’Arren Fox over Kobe White? Well, De’Arra Fox is statwise a better player than Kobe White when you go with 24 points per game, five rebounds, and six assists, and shootings 46% from the field. But Kobe White on the other hand, Kobe White on the other hand is at or around the same type of output. He only puts up 20 point 21 points per game. Wait, hold on. Let me make sure that’s correct. Oh, 20 points per game, four rebounds, and five assists. So, that makes De’arren Fox a slightly better by shooting 45% from the field. So obviously that makes Dearon Fox a better player because I think they’re the same type of player. Scoring like combo guard, shoot the three, get downhill to the basket. Uh getting plays for other is kind of uh second nature to these type of guys. That doesn’t make him a bad players. It’s just the type of player they are. Uh, but when it comes to shooting and percentages and how accurate you are, Kobe White blows out blows him out the window when especially when it comes to three-point percentage and free throw percentage. Kobe White shot 37% from three-point range last year, up from about 34% uh the previous year and 90% from the free throw line. Whereas my guy uh De’aran Fox, he kind of struggled from the three-point line last year at 31% uh with the Sacramento Kings and it even got worse at 27% when when he when he got traded over to San Antonio. He still shoot a respectable 82%. I’ll give him 83% from the free throw line, but it’s not 90% that Kobe White brings. Plus, we must add the familiarity with Kobe White with being around this group. Uh, the continuity, if you want to use that, but being around your key pieces like Montis Busellis and Josh Giddy. Um, Dearon Fox will have to come in and find his way with this uh, new crop of teammates. Uh, especially Montes Buzelis, Josh Giddy, and um, Noah Essen. I’m not sure about that. Kobe White or or my man De’Arren Fox. I’m not sure. Um I would say right now that De’Arren Fox is the better player right now. Uh especially when you think about the accolades that he’s accued since he’s been in the NBA. Um he has a Mr. Clutch award. He has uh multiple all-star appearances. if it ain’t just one. He is a better player. Now, let’s look at the supplemental parts of these of these deals and these other players that are part of these. Let’s go to Kobe Buffins or whatever this guy name is right here. Uh uh he’s just an addin player. Uh I could see him in the GLeague uh value. maybe comes up in the future and be a key part um key piece in the GLeague. You know what I’m saying? But what is this guy? What kind of chance does this really this guy really have? But that 2029 uh first round draft pick. Yeah, put that in our pocket. Yeah, we need that. Uh first round picks is hard to come by in this NBA. and and that definitely would be a welcome uh asset the Chicago Bulls would would get or cue if they would let this deal go through. Uh let’s think about IO Dumu to the Atlanta Hawks. I see what y’all trying to do Atlanta Hawks. Y’all trying to get IO that will get IO Dumu out of Trey Young hair. That’ll be the best thing that can ever happen to Trey Young’s career. But let’s just think about this. This is a This is why this is just a mock draft. I thought it was interesting. The Chicago Bulls have said that I Dumu will remain in place at least for this season, but him with the Atlanta Hawks will already bolster. A rather impressive uh roster that they got uh made up over there. He would add some more dynamic scoring over there. Uh he had some speed. He had add defense. IO Dumu would be perfect for the Atlanta Hawks. And I’ll just be honest, it will keep IO Dumu out of Trey Young’s hair, the hair that he has left on his head. Uh and then round it off with Kevin Herder. He came uh to the Chicago Bulls um in that trade for uh the um Demar No, it was for Zack Lavine. Him and Trey Jones and Zack Collins. Uh he’s been okay. Kind of up and down, wishy-washy. He can get hot. Uh the best I could do is he is a streaky guy. Uh he can shoot you out of games, he can shoot you in games. Um, yeah, he he’ll be good for the for the Seattle, for the San Antonio Spurs. Uh, they do need some shooters over there. I like what they building over there. And Kobe White would fit in great over there. Um, as a more accurate shooter over there, he can also get his own buckets. Uh, you’re going to lose something. Um, matter of fact, you you won’t lose anything cuz De’Arren Fox is already Well, you is going to lose a little speed with Dearron Fox. Uh, you’re going to get better shooting from Kobe White. Get the same type of attacking downhill, but you lose a little speed because the Aaron Fox is by far the quicker player. Uh there is a 2027 first round pick for the Seattle uh San Francisco what the San Antonio Spurs but um like I said once before with the 2029 first pick. You’re always welcome. Those are hard to come by. That would be a good deal for the San Antonio Spurs. All in all, I’mma say hell to the n to this deal. Uh, I think uh Dearon Fox and Kobe White is that similar that it’ll be I don’t I don’t get the logic of trading for a guy like this. I’m cool with Kobe White. Come with a better trade. No good.
