Ryan Dunn 2025 Summer League Highlights | Phoenix Suns
Perfectly timed. You want to get You want to get your former first pick from a year ago off to a great start. Wow. An imperious drive by Ryan Dunn. It’s a little different here, Jonesy, to start this game. There are five players on the floor that had significant roles on the parent team a year ago. So, you’re a lot of NBA experience. Seven players picked in the first round on this summer league roster. Dunn rejects the screen, goes baseline, nice spray to the wing, and the three ball is good by Kobe Brave. And speaking with Owatch, he has a little secret as to how he improved his three-point shooting. There’s a corner three by Dunn and stay in the air that long through hands of defenders and ended up still getting to the rim. That was incredibly difficult. I hear a hint of envy there. A lot of times last year the Suns used him to guard the other team’s best perimeter offensive threat. He missed the free throw but made good on the putback off the drag screen. [Applause] That three was pure. That’s the guy that you love watching shoot. Kobe Bray and he’s up to 14 on the night. First round pick out of Texas. Tough fade away by Ryan Dunn. all about expanding your game here as a year two player in summer league. Try some things a little bit out of your comfort zone that you didn’t get a chance to do as a rookie. Bray a logo three. That’s pure. The Phoenix Suns, it might be another team whose front office he impresses and gets an opportunity with them. And Ryan Dunn drills the three. You don’t just want to be another guy or have some success. I mean, you want to be truly great. That’s exactly what it takes. That’s what your schedule looks like. An audacious deep three by Boogie Ellis. Contested even though he had time to get that off. Little side step gets himself on balance so he can shoot with the leftanded finish that time. Malawatch was why not. There it is. Tim didn’t hesitate that time. Didn’t hesitate at all. More importantly has the ability to shoot the three. hasn’t made a lot of them early, but you see the confidence is there. There goes my guy. Wow, my wahoo friend. But again, I love the fact that Ryan Dunn as he finishes up. But on the other end, Devin Carter in his point guard play, but he dropped 30 last time out. So, he’s also been working on getting the bucket. Dunn knocks down the three. All playing with it a little bit too much. tipped up and in from Ryan Dunn who’s showing. But again, you you’ve been a lifer in the front office. But what did being on ESPN on that microphone and they were in a Airbnb with nothing else in it. So all they did was walk, talk, and live basketball. Pistol action by Clifford. Touched the paint but threw it away. Jones couldn’t get the low pass. Smallatch working on threes, especially corner threes, trying to add that to his game. Clifford had it knocked away by Ryan Dunn for the Phoenix Suns this year and taking on that role of defending the opposing team’s best defend best offensive player, especially the more he does this knock down threes. He was talking about early in his basketball journey meeting Kyle Corver at a basketball without borders event with a nice slam. Oh, he was asked to play strictly inside of Duke. But don’t get it twisted. The big fella does have good range from three product of NBA Global Academy Africa where college coaches will ask guys to sacrifice certain elements of their game because they think it’s better for the team. Done dishes. Oso Igodaro throws it down and the Suns seven of the first. You see Dunn right here drives right down the lane. Soon as he draws the big fell up and when Kobe takes on the floor again, the Suns want him to be aggressive, taking about nine to 10 threes a game. And Kobe said he’s been watching him to see where he can find more of those type of opportunities. Hey everybody on your team, not only do you have to score the ball, but you have to be efficient. Take care of the rock as well. Well, now Brandon Summer League head coach Kevin Hansen said, “We want him to run the show.” What was a stellar first quarter for Phoenix continue the swarm defensively and Dunn gobbles it up. Tries to set up the transition, but the ability to shoot it in year number one shows a lot of promise. And there is Dunn right on two who just knows where to go with the basketball. Yeah, Collins is going to set precipitate for everybody. Dunn who’s sent back in gets the shooters touch. the ankles looking in this environment. You would think he would have an advantage coming down the stretch. Collins playmaker Dunn hunts a three, puts it down.
Coming into year two with the Phoenix Suns, Ryan Dunn looked to improve in all areas of his game. During Summer League with the Phoenix Suns, he did just that showing his ability to finish at the rim, knock down jumpers from the mid rang and from behind the arc, and continued to showcase his constant defensive prowess. Dunn averaged 14.7 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 37.5 3P%.
