The Houston Rockets Are Hiding A MONSTER…

The biggest swing for the Rockets this year is if Reed Shepard is able to genuinely command 20 minutes a night and be productive in those minutes. I think it’s a completely different outlook of a completely different outlook for the team. Um, so I think that they’re going to put I don’t want to say pressure because I don’t want to be unfair to him. Um, but it really is it’s it’s a ton of pressure on him to produce and to produce right away. Yeah, that’s a good point. That’s a good point. Um, I think I think it comes down to how the Rockets maneuver this two timeline thing they’re doing because when you have a man, when you have Reed Shepard, these are guys that they put a lot of draft capital in. They’re they’re highly drafted, touted prospects, but you’re also playing with the Fred Vanit of the world, the Kevin Durant. These are human beings. They’re grown men. At some point, if if things aren’t going well in the ball hand department, they’re going to want to take over. So, it’s going to come down to obviously a man has shown you that he can be a ball handler. He still needs improvement, tighten it up a little bit. Reed also as well, but that comes with physicality and added strength. It’s going to come down to the amount of patience that that the team has, not not the coaches per se, because in the line of scrimmage, in the line of war, the the older guys are going to take take command. I want to see how Fred adjusts, how Kevin adjusts to, you know, allowing Reed to go through those growing pains, allowing a man to go through those growing pains as well. So, it’s going to come down to that balancing act between two timelines. Yeah. And I’ll say this really quick on this Reed Shepard question. You know, what are our expectations? For me, a successful season for Reed, I’m not even looking too much at the raw stats. I just want to see, you know, much higher percentages. Um, you know, way better assist to turnover ratio. you know, being playable on defense, you know, that’s the main thing with him. I don’t really care if he’s out there, you know, scoring how much, but if he’s hitting his open threes and he’s being aggressive, then, you know, he’s doing his job, and he of course has to stay on the court um by playing on the defensive side of the ball. So, that’s primarily what I’m looking for, not too much at those raw numbers. He probably won’t play nowhere near as many minutes to to average 12 to 15 points. If he’s averaging 15 and five, then I think it’s crazy. Somebody’s Yeah, you’re making some phone calls about somebody else not. So, yeah. Yeah, that he I mean, he’s only going to be playing what, like 20 minutes a night at most some days, I’d imagine. Yeah, maybe less than that. Probably less. Yeah. So, I mean, yeah, nothing close to 15 and eight. Um maybe when he’s starting one day if he gets to that point, you know, hopefully. But yeah, again, I just want to see much higher three-point percentage above league average at the minimum. And yeah, I mean, third overall pick, I want to see the production. Stone’s high on him. Udoka is high on him. So, we just want to see that, you know, next season, of course.

  1. He’s gonna be more like JJ Barea… he’s going to have to earn those vets respect. When the Mavs won the championship, they didn’t have an answer for JJ’s aggression and playmaking. Reed will have to go for it and get everyone involved while being a threat on offense. KD ain’t having none of it at his age. I don’t think it’ll be a JLin-Kobe situation.

  2. Agree. I want to see that Reed can finish the pick and roll. Let the secord line-up calm down not in chaos. Maybe 4-5 assist, less more TO. Finish the open shot. 5-6 point per games. That is all.
