People even began making their own 3D printed ball because of how silent it was and the fact it dribbled like a normal basketball. There were even rumors that the NBA would be switching to this new ball by 2030. But the only problem was that it cost $2,500. And this is where the hype began to die down.   1. Could they not add a fabric around the ball, it may be louder but it keeps a good feel of the ball, it would bounce the same and it would travel better in the air
