Salary Cap Breakdown – Toronto Raptors
Heading into next season, the Toronto Raptors salary cap has over $150 million going to five guys. Scotty Barnes, who’s entering the first year of his max rookie extension, Brandon Ingram, who they acquired at the trade deadline last season, and then Emanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, and Jakob Purle. And this off season, they dedicated even more money to this group by giving an extension to Purle for another three years 84 million after he opted into his player option for the season after next. So hopefully they’re satisfied with this starting five because they’ve dedicated a lot of money to it for the foreseeable future. But they made a couple of other moves this off season as well. They acquired free agent Sandro Mamu Kelli and then they brought back Garrett Temple for another season at the veterans minimum. And then at the draft, they selected Colin Murray Boils with the ninth pick and Elijah Martin with the 39th pick, although he’s on a two-way contract. So, as it stands right now, the Raptors are slightly over the luxury tax line, but they could easily maneuver their way back under it by the time the season rolls around.
Here’s what the Toronto Raptors salary cap looks like heading into the next NBA season.
