TESTING Damian Lillard’s Basketball Shoes! 👀🏀

Are Damen Lillard’s basketball shoes actually any good? These are the Dame 9 by Adidas and I’ve been playing in a pair for a week and this is what I think. For starters, I love the pull tab and the sock-l like upper. I love when shoes have stuff like this. For the cushioning, you definitely need to break it in a little bit because it is light strike so it’s not the softest, but it does get better when you break it in. What really saves them though is the plate on the bottom. It makes them pretty snappy. So, if you are explosive, you will benefit from it. And before we get to the traction, comment which NBA player shoe I should try next and follow so you don’t miss that video. Traction on these is probably the best part about the entire shoe. It’s sticky. It doesn’t pick up much dust. I really didn’t have an issue with this at all. It really seems like Adidas has stepped up their traction game because it used to be really bad, but their recent shoes have been pretty good. These are also pretty wide, so if you’re a shooter, you do have great stability in these. If you are someone that likes to attack the rim, you do have great lateral support. Now, my favorite part about the shoe is definitely the design. These are the cold hearts colorway designed off of an overtime elite team. I think the details on the shoe are super cool. I really like this colorway. This is my favorite color. Sho’s biggest flaws are the materials and they fit kind of weird. They kind of fit big. These were decent, but let me know if I should review the new Dame 10. So, overall, I’m giving these an 8.2 Two out of 10.

  1. Dame 9 is a very highly rated shoes on runrepeat. The interesting thing about it is got a 7.7mm heel drop which it's 2mm higher than most shoes. The higher ur heel drop, the less ur achilles stretch. So how did Dame injured his achielles? The dame 8 is actually 10.4mm in heel drop. That's a huge 3mm difference.

My theory is that players switch shoes way too often and their feet simply cannot adapt to those shoes quick enough for that level of athleticism.

Personal biased, I went from a 2.2mm lowered heel drop and I developed achielles tendonitis.

  2. Is it just me, or are more and more basketball shoes being designed to look good on and off court? Like first it was the Book 1, then it was the Jordan 40, and not it’s the DL 19s. Even the Jason Tatum ones I feel look good off court even though they have some crazy designs that still look good.

  3. Can you for the future, also say for every shoe if it's outdoor friendly or not? There are lot of us only play outdoors. If you can do videos on outdoor courts would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏾🙏🏾
