A trade in August by the Boston Celtics, sending away newly acquired George Niang, who has gotten in the Chris Porzingis deal in exchange for RJ Lewis, the rookie out of St. John’s of the Utah Jazz, undrafted rookie at that. But the Celtics did have to send away two second round picks to attach to Nyang’s contract, $8 million, in order to make this deal happen. But the main thing the main thing we have to know about this trade is the sellers get further below the second apron and have even more flexibility down the line. The luxury tax penalties are reduced. Brad Stevens is an absolute wizard with this salary cap and they get a deal done with the A family.
