The executives were right! SIXERS should not have extended Joel. They LOST THERE BARGAINING LEVERAGE! It would have kept Joel honest in his getting ready for the season. Now, he has the money. Keith, if they thought they would be caught owing him a larger contract due to MVP play. That should have been the course of action. Just giving him the bag was wrong. Embiid has already played 10 + years. How much longer did he expect Embiid to freaking play.
Things would be a lot better for us fans if they would just dump Embiid and George.
Should have never extended him. Should have never signed PG. Should have never let Morey anywhere near this franchise. Its time to move in a different directions. Trade Joel and PG. We will not get fair value for them but its not about that anymore, its about getting off these books. Its about turning the page and grabbing whatever assests we can before the bridge truly collapses.

If they believed in Embiid still, then in my opinion, they would have used the #3 pick to make a package for another established player.
Unfortunately Embiid was never going to be healthy. He missed his first two seasons with knee and foot injuries. The irony is his career is most likely going to end the way it started.
I lost all trust in Marc with his clueless comments. At least Keith is correct that it is not news.
Both the Sixers organization and Embiid sold the fanbase a bill of goods over his career, now it's clear that it's over and now the finger pointing has begun 🤷🏿♂️
I believe younger Sixers fans ride with Embiid, I get it. However, NO ONE is bigger than the team. The Sixers will be great with or without Embiid, 5, 10, 20 yrs from now the Sixers will still be here, what about Embiid?

Ownership needs to take hold of the reins. Morey needs to be liked by NBA players instead of doing what's best for the team. Cut ties with dead weight and bring in guys that enhance Maxey and the young core.
