NBA LIVE! New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors | August 6, 2025 Warriors vs Thunder 2K Preseason

When it comes to rebounding, Doris, you know, there was a point at which BA it felt like rebounding was almost, especially on the offensive end, deemphasized. Now, you’re getting back to a point where understanding dominating the defensive backboards. It means finishing your possession defensively and offensively creating more opportunity. It’s an important aspect on both ends. All right, check it out. Golden State’s opening lineup. Curry and Pods make up the back court. Buddy Heield is out there with Jimmy Butler. And it’s Green in at the five roaming the paint. Now here’s Brunson. Six to shoot. Out to Bridges. The three is up. Drills it from deep. You’ve got to be aware and stay attached to Muel Bridges beyond that arc. This guy dangerous as a shooter. Curry passes to Green. Now here’s Pajki. And here’s Curry for three. He’s now one for two with that bucket. Both teams are starting to find a rhythm here. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Now here’s Anobi. Pass to Bridges. Fires the three. Rebounded by Green. And here are the Warriors now. And stolen by Bridges. And here we go. of the Knicks in transition. Anovi on the wing puts it up from 15. Again, the miss by Bridges. I think this is a spot he has got to become more consistent from. You want to command the defenders respect and he almost made them regret defending him so loosely. Curry against Brunson. Towns on a screen. Hart goes in, kicks it out. Towns, launches it, trains the triple. That’s the confidence of Towns. This guy, regardless of situation, believes that shot is going in. Pass to Curry. Yep. Count it. Curry’s got five. Well, don’t underestimate Curry because of his size. This guy does a great job absorbing contact and still finishing. Doris, how about the emergence of Jaylen Brunson? The Knicks got him as a free agent. BA, it’s incredible because the Knicks when they signed him back in the summer of 2022, many voices were out there saying, “It’s an overpay. You gave Jaylen too much.” Well, guess what? AllNBA performer and that contract looks like a bargain. A chance here to catch up with Ally from the sideline. A bit ago, Mike Brown and I were able to chat. I asked him outright how he planned to deal with Steph Curry. How does anyone deal with him? Coach joked. He went on to say, we’ll try to contest every shot and chase him off the arc, but emphasis on try. Not easy to solve a problem with no good solution, I guess. BA, good job there, Ally. Thanks, Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Knicks on D. Three-point lead. Here’s Curry. And he can’t get that one. Some solid defense from Brunson inside. Oh, they get a hand on it and stolen by Green. Pass to Curry. Green with a screen on Brunson. A step back shot. Curry. That’s good. Curry’s got seven. I’ll tell you, it is a thing of beauty watching Steph Curry shoot jumpers. An unbelievable feel and touch. Now here’s Bridges. Outside Anobi. Now here’s Hart. Tightly guarded. Three on the clock. Here’s Brunson. Another one falls for New York. I think in today’s NBA you’ve got to be a threelevel scorer. The midi is good for Jaylen Brunson. Green. The pass to heel. outside. Pajki back to Heel. Green. A screen. Heel against Anobi. And it’s heel missing. That’s a shot he makes with regularity. But that time the defense up to the challenge. Bridges outside. misses the jumper from the wing. Warriors trail by three. The three from Curry. Hart pulls it in. Hart’s got four rebounds in the game. Back to Anobi. Bridges outside. The put back. It’s good on the put back. Yeah, you love to see Towns mix it up a little bit. Gets his team a bucket on a second chance. Boy, they’d love if anyone could get a bucket. Yeah, their offense has been grinding to a halt. Laid it in with a nice touch off the window. Yeah, that’s fantastic execution. Jimmy Butler has excellent touch close to the rim. Bridges feel peeling it out a little bit. Brunson up top. He’s covered by Curry. Left side. Brunson. The Warriors pull it in. Doris, how about the evolution of Jaylen Brunson’s career from role player to star player? Yeah, BA. He begins his career as a backup point guard to the great Luca Donuch, but when given an opportunity to thrive without Luca in the playoffs, he did just that. Then he gets his own team and takes his game to an MVP level. Incredible evolution. So, it’s the Knicks now after the Warriors picking up a basket just a moment ago. Pass to Anobi out to the right wing. the three and there’s Brunson. That one’s good on the assist from Anovi. Brunson’s got seven points in the game and so Curry will bring it up for Golden State. Four-point game and Steve Cerr calls timeout. He wants to make sure everybody’s on the same page. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Brunson with the block and he gets it back and the basket by Curry and New York has possession. Bridges outside pass to Brunson from downtown. Rebounded by Green. Yeah, you know he usually makes you pay from that range. Now here’s Pajki. He’s guarded by Bridges and stolen by Brunson out left to the wing. Here’s Bridges. Outside Anobi. Shot clock at six. Outside Hart and good. Got the friendly bounce off the right side of the rim and the Knicks lead by four. Defensively, you can’t afford to get stuck on the pick. You know exactly what that takes. It takes energy. It takes activity. It takes intensity. the three and Jimmy Butler good for three. Five points in the game. Wow. You don’t see Jimmy Butler go to the three-point opportunity that often, but knocks down a big time shot there. Right side Hart. Out of bounds. It’ll go to the Warriors. McBride, he’s checked in for New York. Moody’s checked in for the Warriors. Golden State has gone two for four from range to start things off. Green with a screen on Hart outside. Pajki to the inside. Down to five on the shot clock and the ball goes out of bounds. Last touch by Towns. So, it’s the Warriors now. They trail by one. Well, being aggressive and assertive, the big man snatching the rebound. Clarkson left side. Pass to Towns. Six on the shot clock. Here’s McBride. And the three off target. The Warriors have gone seven to 14 and looking in control. That puts them in the lead and the Warriors lead by one. Just owning the painted area. If it’s working, no need to change. Outside McBride. Pass to Clarkson. And he goes in for the dunk. This guy is more than capable of making that play. Jordan Clarkson confident around the cup and here’s Jackson Davis doubled by Towns. McBride covers. Here’s the three and the rebound goes to the Knicks. Back to Clarkson. Here’s Yaselli. Towns right side and no good. Good work defensively by Jackson Davis. The Warriors trailing. There’s a minute 47 left to play in the first. Clarkson on the double team. Here’s Post and he drops in the layup off the glass. And you like the balance here. Not just falling in love with the three ball. Clarkson passes to Robinson. The rebound by Post. He’s as surprised as we are. Most nights that bucket is automatic. Pass to Moody. 116 left in the first quarter. It’s hauled in by Robinson. New York has gone three of seven from beyond the arc in the first. They swipe it. Good work defensively by Robinson. Never easy to stop this guy at the rim, but that is a beautiful contest right there. Here’s Clarkson. Can’t hit. One for two now. The Warriors leading to the wing, right side to the paint. Second shot opportunity. It’s called in by Robinson. Robinson’s got four rebounds now. Clarkson outside pass to McBride. Here’s Yaveelli covered by Jackson Davis. Here’s Towns and it’s good with time running down on the shot clock. Towns has got seven. This guy a tough cover for any defender. Creative and assertive scoring the ball. Well, good close contest so far as we finish the first quarter. New York out in front. They lead by one. Don’t go away. We’ll be back with the second quarter in just a moment. Some good action already in this one, but a fairly even matchup after this first quarter of play. And let’s quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for the Knicks. Well, we’re in the era of the three-point basket. So, if you want to win games in this league, you have to connect from deep. And they have been thus far. And the other thing I love how they’re making the extra pass. They’re not settling for the first shot. They’re going from good to great. Well, the Warriors shooting about 41% on the floor for the Warriors. Moses Moody out there with Stephen Curry. Then it’s Trace Jackson Davis. And it’s post in at the center position locking down the middle. Curry against Brunson and he got the whistle on the way up. So he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. The hard work that Brunson has put in over the years, it really shows in his game. Doris, I’ll tell you this about Jaylen Brunson. As his coach likes to say, he may not pass the eye test, but he passes the win test. Unbelievable footwork, fundamentals, and a clutch gene. Love Jaylen Brunson’s game. That free throw good from Brunson. And this is a star-driven league. But talk about the importance of role players. Grant. Oh, BA. A lot of times they’re the ones who carry the day. You know what you’ll get from your stars. But when the X factor ignites, that can make the difference. 12 free throws good from Brunson. Making shots at the line. You need a good routine and he certainly has one. Pass to Santos. Jacks up a three and the rebound goes to the Knicks. Robinson’s got six rebounds here tonight. Brunson against Curry. Puts it up from 12. Kicks it out to Clarkson. New York needs to get one up quick. The timer ticks. No good on the wing three. And I’m surprised that didn’t go down. I mean, I’m sure he is, too. To the middle. Here’s Jackson Davis. uses the glass to drop it in. Jackson Davis has got his first two points. How about the timing? Could be the difference between an assist and a turnover. Nice delivery. Curry against Brunson. Pulls up. The Warriors pull it in and he lobbs it up to the rim. Hammers the lob through. These teams have really gone back and forth. Yeah. Five lead changes already. This one’s going to be a battle for sure. Brunson against Curry. Pulls up at the elbow. Jackson Davis grabs a miss. The Warriors have gone two of four here in the second quarter. 4-3. It’s called in by Robinson. Robinson’s got his seventh rebound of the game of that last round. Down low. Yoselli. And so he draws the foul. Headed to the line to shoot a pair. Trace Jackson Davis picks one up. New York shooting their third and fourth free throw shots of the night. That one’s off. and he’s good on the second. All right, for those just joining us, we’re almost two and a half minutes into the second and let’s send it over to Alli Leforce. Jaylen Brunson’s craft sets him apart. He said, quote, “I’ve always played with my instincts and tried to see the game a couple plays ahead. As I’ve gotten older, that part of my game has gotten wiser and better, but I’m still learning.” Ryan, that’s a scary thought for the rest of the league. He’s already plenty dangerous, Ally. Here’s Brunson following the score by Golden State. Spanging his way through, Jaylen Brunson. Oh, that’s a silky jump shot. Playing right over the top of the defense. Mr. Brunson, how good are you? Pass to post now. Curry. Brunson defending. Fires from deep. Curry shot his own. No idea why he’s attempting so many outside shots. It’s not his day and he needs to either look to drive or get it to an open teammate. Here’s Clarkson and that one is stopped right through. Well, as always, Jaylen Brunson making the right play. This guy loves to set up his teammates. Here’s Santos. Pass to Jackson Davis. And they call an illegal screen here. One of the trickier plays to judge, but it would be hard to argue against the call. It is really difficult to get your feet completely set, to stay completely still. It’s almost surprising to me that it isn’t called more often. Josh Hart’s checked in for New York. Bridges comes in for Clarkson. Green’s checked in for the Warriors. Pajimky comes in for Santos. Now here’s Hart inside. Here’s Bridges and he gets it to go now. Two of six in the game. Such a smart offensive player. Muel Bridges assertive and focused when he gets this close. pass to post and that one makes him two for two. He’s in his rhythm. They’re punishing those late defensive rotations, getting good looks inside throughout the half outside. Hart back to Brunson. Sinks that one. Now shooting five of 10 and looking sharp. Boy, whenever this team has needed a bucket, Jaylen Brunson has been there. right now in complete command of this ball game. The three from Curry. Curry rises up and hits the three. Got to fight harder to get over those screens. You know, we see this all the time. You’re basically as a defender hoping the man misses rather than putting in the work to get over screens. Brunson against Curry. And that one’s good. Brunson. Brunson’s got eight here in this quarter. That’s toughness. That’s ability to absorb contact and finish. That is Jaylen Brunson in a nutshell. Now here’s Moody. He’s covered by Harden. Green with a screen on Bridges. Took the opportunity when he saw it. But Jimsky’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Defensively got to close out a little faster. That’s a look he’ll make with regularity. Bridges. There’s the drive. Oh, a beautiful reverse layup. Bridges has got seven. If you overplay Muel Bridges to take the jump shot, that’s creating driving lanes and he’ll take advantage. Pass to Moody outside. Curry. Five to shoot. They set the pick and the Warriors with another three. Ideally, you want to chase Stephen Curry off the three-point line. But folks, it is not as easy as you might think. And he’s going for the lob. And he lays in the alley pass. And the Knicks lead by one. Neither side willing to relive. That’s led to eight lead changes in a bunch of drama already. Oh, Robinson with a block. We found no easy buckets with Mitchell Robinson in the vicinity. Sends that back with authority. And that one dropped for him. Well, the analytics would say take either that shot or something from downtown. Now here’s Curry. 19 points in the game. Pass to Moody. It’s his first trip to the line. No good on that one. Jimmy Butler’s checked in for the Warriors. Heel comes in for Pachimsky. He hits the second from the line. And so it’s Brunson who brings up the ball for the New York Knicks. Pass to Bridges from the high post. Warriors with the rebound. Moody’s got four rebounds in the game. Back to Green. Oh, serious gut checkpoints from Moody. You know, you can count on Draymond Green to make good decisions. This guy comes up with a lot of terrific assists. Brunson finds Towns. Now, here’s Bridges. Pipped his pocket. Oh, what a fast break for the Warriors. Rips down the breakaway slam. Got to give him credit for jumping on the ball and making the most at the other end. Boy, inexcusable at this point of the game, they got to be more composed in these moments. Boy, in a tight game like this, that can change the whole tone. It helps your opponent get into a little bit of a rhythm. Now, here’s Brunson. It’s stolen away. tries to break his ice. Oh, JP, look out. And breaking down some numbers here. The hustle stats for the Warriors. I must say, their defensive intensity has been impressive so far. Really making it hard for the offense to hold on to the ball. I think the other thing they’re doing is they’re wearing out the opponent in transition, exploding up the floor for easy chances. So, it’s the Warriors now. The Knicks making their last shot. Pass to Green. The kick out. Curry over Brunson. Curry. No good. Couldn’t quite line that one up. Just got to shake it off and move on to the next one. Green against Hart. Bridges outside. Lets it go from deep. Sinks it from distance. Bridges has got seven now in this corner. Well, a high motive player like Muel Bridges has got to make quick tough decisions. Rise and fire off the catch and shoot Muel. Oh, it’s stolen by Towns and he lays it in. And now a three-point New York lead. That’s impactful defense right there. Finding a steal and instantly turning it into offense. Dorsy, you look at the shooting of Carl Anthony Towns, a sevenfooter. He’s as good as it gets. He is PA. He has been vering on the 50, 40, 90 efficiency type numbers in recent years. He is right there with Dirk Nitzky. When you talk about the sweetest shooting big men of all time and the Knicks making a change here. McBride’s checked in. The Warriors also with a sub. Pajimky’s checked in for Curry. Butky with it. Five on the clock. A shot to stop the run and Anobi pulls it down to the paint. Hart finds Towns. Now Anobi. Towns up top. Puts it up from the high post. Rebounded by Heield. You got to move past that one. I mean, they’d want him to take that again. And they should because when you start turning down that kind of look that your offense can start to bog down a bit. 146 left in the half. Jimmy Butler so smooth inside. It doesn’t get any easier than that. The defense has to play better. Bridges outside. McBride. Pass to Towns. Hard with it. Here’s McBride from outside off to Mark. And he probably thought he was going to bury that one to the middle. And the shot counts. He’s fouled. And it’s a chance for a three-point play. And he’ll be shooting his first free throw. What I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with him. Now here’s McBride. No point so far. Bridges outside Towns and he gets it to go. Four for six so far. There’s 53 seconds left in the first half of this one. Outside Green. The basket drops and he gets fouled on the shot. One free throw coming his way. That’s pure strength from Draymond Green. When he gets hit, he still finds a way to score. He’s getting his first free throw attempt of the game here. Free throw good. Green. Well, to me, the infectiousness with which Draymond Green plays, it impacts everyone around him. I love that. Now, here’s Bridges. He’s got 12. 32 seconds left to play in the half. Anobi with it. Green picks him up. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. OG Anobi is tremendously athletic and when he plays with this level of aggression, it’s hard not to foul him. New York shooting their fifth and six free throws of the game. and he makes a first. McBride, he’s checked in for New York. That one misses. And so it’s Green who brings up the ball for the Golden State Warriors. Two second difference between shot and game clock. Out to the right wing. Lets it go from 14. And it’s rebounded by Carl Anthony Towns. Towns has got rebound number five here tonight outside McBride. Hart from long range. This shot won’t fall. And a pretty tightly contested game here as we end the first half. The Warriors on top. They lead by two. We’ll see you after halftime for the beginning of the third quarter. And we’re halfway. way through this one. Plenty of basketball left in a game that’s been a fairly even one. Stephen Curry having a dominant impact in this game. Through the first two quarters, he’s been on fire. Explosive offensive performance. Boy, he has been shouldering the load. Aggressive, skilled, talented, and thus far, unstoppable. The Warriors leading. They’ve got Jaylen Brunson. Josh Hart is out there with Oanobi. Then it’s Carl Anthony Towns. And it’s Bridges in at the two. That’s the five for New York right now. You have to love the tenacity, but also the awareness to make sure he came away with that ball. Pass to Brunson. Oh, he took a hard foul on the shot. So, he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair. It goes on Brandon Pajimki. Now, Jaylen Brunson approaches the point guard position as a score. And boy, this guy can light you up. And this will be his third and fourth free throws of the game here. That free throw good from Brunson. Both free throws good from Brunson. And here are the Warriors now. puts up a three and it’s New York with a rebound. Hard passes to Brunson. Bridges with it. Green covering and no good. Had a chance to take the lead. Golden State is gone. 0 for two from outside here in the third. Heield against Hanovi from outside the ark and Heield gets a three. He’s got his first three points of the game. Any opportunity from three is what Buddy Heield is looking for. Great delivery there. And they double up Brunson. Anobi on the wing. Comes up empty down low. The Warriors lead by three. Heel passes to Green. 90 seconds into the second half now. Pass to Curry and here’s Heield and Anobi covering. Clock at six. Shot from the top of the key. And it’s heel missing. And they’ve been moving the ball really well tonight. Good things come to those who take good shots. Brunson against Curry to the inside. Double team on Towns. It’s picked off. Now here’s Pajki. Tight defense on him. Pass to Heel. Green up top. Clock at four. And the Warriors with another three. Wow. We’re accustomed to seeing Draymond Green make the pass. But how about that catch and shoot delivery? Nice outside Anobi. Now we’re into the third quarter. Just over 2 and 1/2 minutes played. Hits a three-pointer. That’s how you up the ante. Come right back at it. And you would expect nothing less from these two taking pride in making plays. Knicks trail by three. Of course, OG and Obi helped the Raptors so much on their title run in 2019. Yeah, the hard part is he was never able to suit up for the NBA Finals to get through the season and then have an injury at that point. Ah, heartbreaking for a player, but consider he’s the first UK born player to win an NBA title. And that cannot be taken away. Now, here’s Curry. 19 points in the game. Third quarter of basketball here. A little under three and a half minutes gone by. Tried to come right back with a three of his own, but it’s no good. The Knicks have gone two of five in this third quarter. Outside Nanobi. Curry against Brunson. Shoots over Curry. Brunson with the bucket. Brunson’s got 24 points. They seem to concede that shot and his response is, “Thank you very much.” Looking to win the run and off the front iron and in it goes. I think defensively you’re thinking you have to play Butler to drive it, right? So he senses that and pulls up on a dime. And it’s Mike Brown calling timeout here. I think right now he must be looking at some adjustments. Adjustments are a part of every game and every quarter of a game. I think coach sees something here. Well, this is a just match. Looking ahead a few moves and trying to execute toward that. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And the Knicks with the possession here. It’s hard on the wing. Brunson against Curry, the 15-footer. Brunson with the bucket. Brunson’s got nine points now in the second half. Got to fight harder to get over those screens. You know, we see this all the time. You’re basically as a defender hoping the man misses rather than putting in the work to get over screens. Now, here’s Curry. 19 points in the game. Oh, a really deep three that time. Curry’s got 22. I the supreme confidence from Steph Curry to attempt that shot, let alone make it. Impossible to measure this guy’s range. Here’s Brunson. He’s got 26. Bridges passes to Towns. It’s hard on the wing. Back to Towns. Three-pointer and it’s cleared by Stephen Curry. Curry’s got four rebounds in the game. Fires for three. The rebound by Bridges for New York. They’ve gone four of nine in the third quarter. Curry with the block. The tremendous defensive effort from Stephen Curry. Believe me, his teammates will hear about that denial. Just a superb read on defense to come up with a block. Yeah, what a play. I mean, that’ll have the offense thinking twice about taking shots and his presence. Mitchell Robinson, he’s checked in for Anobi. And Golden State also making a switch. Moody’s checked in. Towns passes to Bridges outside. Brunson just five on the clock over Curry. New York again can’t hit the Warriors leading. Green with the ball and it’s Robinson picking him up. Draymond. Oh, such a force inside. Draymond Green will pick his spots on the interior. He can read a defense and he understands when to attack. Towns right side. The three is up. Pajimsky grabs the board. It’s tough to get open in this league and when you do, it hurts not to capitalize. Brunson against Curry. fires from the wing. The Knicks pull it in. Art’s got nine rebounds in the game. Boy, he’s getting it done. Bridges outside. Pass to Brunson. Launches a three. Dan Brunson won’t miss many of those. That’s business right there. Jaylen Brunson to catch, shoot, and on to the next play. They set a pick. Curry from deep three-point land from beyond the arc and then some. Curry’s got 25 points in the game. And Brunson’s got the ball here for New York. And we’ll have a timeout called by Mike Brown. We might see him looking to make some tweaks to the strategy here. Well, when Muel Bridges was drafted in 2018, his hometown team, the Philadelphia 76ers, elected to trade him after selecting him and ba, he made no secret of the fact that that was a heartbreaking moment at the time. Consider that his mom actually worked in the Sixers front office in those days, but in the end, he has carved out one heck of a career. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Get off me. Hart passes to Robinson. Outside Brunson. Shot clock at three from deep. Jimmy Butler with a rebound. The Warriors lead by three. Pass to Curry. over Towns. It’s hauled in by Robinson. Robinson’s got rebound number nine now. What an effort here tonight. Oh, deflected. Towns. Oh, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. Oh, a ferocious put back. Towns sends it down. Curry against Brunson. He’s off on that one. Good work defensively by Robinson. Bart passes to Brunson for the lead. He takes it in and it’s good on the layup. Brunson’s got 31 points. Jaylen Brunson outstanding at finding avenues to the cup. Pass to Curry. Green with a screen on Brunson. And here’s Curry for three. He buries it from three. Curry’s got nine points in the quarter here in the second half. This game still nip and tuck. Just an insane amount of lead changes. The fans are getting their money’s worth. Now here’s Brunson. He’s got 31. Robinson gets the bucket and the foul. It’s going to go on Draymond Green. Mr. Mitchell Robinson won’t be denied. Go ahead. And Doris, you talk about the bounciest big men in the association. Mitchell Robinson’s on the short list. Come on now. This guy is a game changer as a lob threat and rim protector. He’s grown up so much in terms of avoiding foul trouble and he’s putting in the work on the offensive end. Mitchell Robinson is a big time player. And that one misses. The Warriors have gotten seven of 16 shots to go so far in the third quarter. Aliu up top. Hammer it home. A beautiful setup on the alley. Great catch. Great flush. Now here’s Bridges. He’s got 15. Pass to McBride. Now Clarkson. And here’s Bridges. New York. No good that time either. Moody on the wing. He’s guarded by Bridges outside for Jimky. Down low. Pass the post for three. And the rebound goes to the Knicks. Bridges has got four rebounds now. Here’s McBride. Back to Bridges. Three-pointer. He drops it from range. Bridges has got six points in the quarter. And it’s been a thrilling matchup. Both teams giving their all. Pass to Jackson Davis. 157 left in the third. Releases from 15 and he hits the jumper. He’s got 18. Boy, the footwork of Jimmy Butler impressive. So good at finding room to get his shot off. Clarkson left side. Can’t hit from in close. The Warriors leading. It’s Pajimsky on the wing. They set the pick to the right side outside. Moody from deep. Ooh, the smooth three from Moody. That’s a really solid pass from Jimmy Butler. This guy all about making his teammates better. Right side. McBride can’t get it to drop. Great D that time from Pajimski. Here he goes. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up. Heading play to stop that easy layup right there. I mean, make him earn it at the line. That free throw misses. Santos has checked in for the Warriors. So he comes up empty missing both end of quarter management here. They can go two for one. Make the math work in your faith. Shots good by Towns. So good at finding high percentage shots. Carl Anthony Towns, even with a tough defender on him, comes through. That’s pretty work. Now here’s Pensky over to the left wing. Santos. Good. Tentos has gotten himself on the board with a three there. Pick works well there, but the defense left a lot to be desired. It takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player. You’ve got to want to work. 4 seconds separating the shot and game clocks. Towns double team. Pass to Clarkson. Puts it up from 12. Not going to go that time. It’ll count. No good on the shot. Stephen Curry getting it done for the Warriors. He’s been doing damage on the offensive end all night. 28 points in this one. We’ll be back in a moment. All right, let’s take a look at our assist of the game presented by State Farm. Now, I know he’s a big man, but he’s got some point guard in him if he’s making passes like this. I’ll tell you in today’s game you want skill and decision making at every position. And with three quarters behind us, we’ll start the fourth in what is still anybody’s ball game. On the floor for the Warriors, we’ve got Trace Jackson Davis. Moody is out there with Stephen Curry. And it’s Santos in at the three. Brunson misses. The Warriors lead by five. And here’s Moody. Pass to Curry beyond the arc. The rebound by Yavoselli. Yeah, and the defense has really got to tighten up on him. I mean, he’s just too dangerous from the three-point line. Ball stolen. Now, here’s Moody. He’s covered by Clarkson to the paint. Here’s Jackson Davis. That shot off the mark. New York shooting about 47%. A nice number. And it’s Clarkson missing. That’s a look he couldn’t pass up. He just couldn’t get it to go. Moody on the wing. He’s covered by Clarkson. Pass to Santos. Back to Moody. Just five to shoot. Lets the three fly. It’s hauled in by Robinson. Knicks trail by five. Outside Brunson left side. McBride. Fires the three. And there’s Brunson. That one’s good on the assist by Clarkson. Brunson’s got 34. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. No doubt he’s going to utilize the opportunity to make sure they’re all on the same page here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And let’s swing it over to the sideline and hear from Ally. During that break, coach Steve Kerr had some advice for the team. They said in the huddle, “This is it. No excuses. Let’s figure out a way to win.” A couple of players spoke as well, firing up their teammates. A great ending could be in store, guys. And Ally, thank you for that. Final quarter here and we’re just over a minute and a half through it. Brunson against Curry. Pass the post. Oh, Robinson with a block. They push it up four on three. Here’s McBride. Brown. Here’s Santos. McBride covers. Here’s Post. Robinson with the block. Clarkson outside over Moody. And that one’s good. Clarkson. And it’s all not enough. Well, Jordan Clarkson specializes at capitalizing on what the defense gives him. Nicely done in the mid-range. Pass to Santos. Now here’s Moody. He’s covered by Clarkson inside. Here’s Post. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the act of shooting. It’s going to go on Mitchell Robinson. The first free throw is good. New York making a switch here. Bridges is checked in. Pajimski’s checked in for the Warriors. and good on the second. So he makes them both. A little over two and a half minutes have passed here in the fourth. Here’s Brunson. Shoots over Curry. The rebound by Post. Post has got six rebounds here tonight. Throws it up high. A beautiful setup on the alley. Great catch. Great flush. And so it’s Brunson with it. He brings it up for the Knicks. Screen by Robinson. Brunson with it now. Guarded by Curry from the little block and it falls all over the rim and in. Brunson’s got 36 points. The consistency as a jump shooter, Jaylen Brunson with that quick, compact release. Pass to Jackson Davis. Here’s Curry. Some solid defense from Brunson. I don’t know if he’s tired or what, but he is definitely holding back a little bit and he has to step his game up right now. over to the wing to take the lead. It’s tipped and it’s out of bounds to the Knicks. New York will retain possession. Goes back up. That’s short off the rim. Well, it’s a make or miss league. Sometimes the Jays just don’t fall. It wasn’t a bad shot. to the middle, bananked it in off the glass, and the Warriors lead by four. Terrific design and execution leading to an opportunity right at the rim. Oh, Brunson off the bump. Yeah, don’t be fooled by the height, guys. Brunson is a terrific finisher inside. Pass to post. Pajimky with it. Jackson Davis’s screen. Now Pajimsky. The kick out. Curry over Brunson. Bounces high off the rim and drops. Curry’s got 30 points. Curry is in his bag. This guy has such a versatile offensive arsenal. Shot is up. Brunson misses. The Warriors lead by four. Pass to Curry. Back to Pajki. Oh, Robinson with a block from the elbow and the bucket is good. Brunson’s got 40 points. Boy, the ability to stop on the dime and rise and fire Jaylen Brunson. That is outstanding. Now, here’s Pajki. Back to Curry. Pass the post. Oh, Robinson with a block. Brunson with it. Now guarded by Curry. It’s Brunson working inside. Golden State has gone 0 for two from outside here in the fourth quarter. Here’s Post. now. Here’s Jackson Davis. Curry with it. Six on the shot clock. Back to Moody. There’s the triple that drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. Well, the defense wants to collapse on Stephen Curry. It gives him a great opportunity to make a pass and have his teammate get a good look. Brunson looks it over. Here’s Bridges and the sweet roll that time on the rim. That one falls. Bridges has got 20. Pick works well there, but the defense left a lot to be desired. It takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player. You’ve got to want to work. Now, here’s Pajki. Pass to Jackson Davis. And here’s Moody. Here’s Pachki. Three-pointer off the mark. New York trailing outside. Brunson and he loss it up top. The rebound by Moody. Golden State has gone only one of four from the perimeter here in this fourth quarter. On the wing, Curry takes a three and it’s New York with a rebound. Here’s Brunson up top. Bridges to take the lead. Bridges can’t get that one to fall and Curry’s got the ball here for Golden State. They lead by one. Pass to Pajimsky. Back to Curry. No one near him. And perfection right through the net. Curry’s got 13 points here in the second half alone. Well, the pick and roll is a play that Curry loves to operate and he’s always asking and seeking opportunities in this kind of situation. And it’s Mike Brown calling timeout here. He’s decided it’s time to clarify the situation, leaving little room for error. Heat. Heat. So both teams making some changes here. On defense, the Warriors. It’s a three-point game. Back to Brunson. Curry with a steal to the cup. Curry and that one good. Curry’s got six points in the quarter. And a closer look here at the hustle stats for the Warriors. Yeah, they’ve collected an impressive number of steals so far using fast hands to force some turnovers and then scoring on the other end. And their fast break has also been a key metric in this one. They have had a significant advantage in transition over the course of this game. And the first one at the line is good. He’s perfect from the line this time. Here’s Curry. It’s Pajki on the wing. There’s a screen to the inside and he takes it in for the layup off a very nice feed. See right there in the screen and roll Butler showing the capacity to create for others. I love that. Two shots. And that one misses. and he sinks the second. Just a tough miss at the line. They’re down two baskets now. The Warriors lead by four. outside heel. Back to Curry. Look at Steph Curry cooking it up inside. You see the instincts of Curry on the interior. Defenders might be lurking. This guy too good. Brunson with it now. Guarded by Curry. Brunson against Curry. fires from the line and he gets it to go off the front iron. Brunson’s got 47 points. Jaylen Brunson wants the ball in these moments and there he shows you why. Big time shot with it. He’s against Bridges through contact. Butler connects. Jimmy Butler attacking at will and the buckets just keep coming, steps back, and here’s Brunson from the open. Rebounded by Green. Green’s got eight rebounds in the game. Curry from deep three-point land. And it’s New York with a rebound. Hart’s got double digit rebounds now in the game. Pass to Bridges. Let’s go with a three on target from range. Bridges has got 11 points here in the second half. Fearless confident defender Bridges with the delivery and stolen by Brunson. And here they come. Inside goes Brunson and he lays it in off the breakaway. Now just a one-point Warrior lead. A huge make by Jaylen Brunson. Shining in the biggest of moments. Boy, he overdid it there. too much force on the foul and he’s called for the flavor one. You know, it’s just hard to watch a player put the wellbe of an opponent at risk. He rightly earned that flavor. Yeah, the officials are all over that one. Sending a clear message that that kind of roughness is unacceptable. He gets the first and that’ll put him up two. So, he goes two for two at the line and it’s a three-point game. This guy has a reputation for being a great free throw shooter and you’ve got to knock him down. He does it here. Oh, tough break there. Shot after shot, they couldn’t get anything to fall. Bridges passes to Towns and he buries it. Oh, what a sensational bucket that brings it within one. Curry against Brunson. Yes. Great to see guys who don’t back down under pressure. To me, more often than not, when you attack, good things happen. And it’s Mike Brown calling timeout here. And a great call on his part. This is the time you want to be in sync right here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. 46 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter. They get it again. Towns double team on Townser. Bridges and another shot up again. Great positioning on the putback. How about the time demeanor of towns? Wellade for pressure situations. Grant, they’d love to milk the clock here. No question. They’re in a great situation right here. Steph Curry so cool under pressure. Big moment. No matter. He’s ready. And it’s Mike Brown calling timeout here. And coach didn’t want to take any chances in this situation, which is why he called the to. Any speculation on what we’re going to see coming out of this timeout? Tricky situation here. They need some kind of bucket to stay alive. And it’s either got to be a three-pointer or a score quickly and take the foul. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. 23 seconds left in the fourth. Outside Brunson. That is Stephen Curry with the rebound and they foul intentionally. Now they’re going to have to do that again. They’re not in the penalty just yet. And a smart choice right there. I mean, you can’t allow them to just drain the clock. And you got to be in awe of incredible defensive efforts like this. And this is exactly why he’s out here in order to block shots in tight games like this. And so they foul intentionally. So, the first one drops and that gives him a four-point cushion. and he hits both free throws here and it’s a five-point game. Well, you love a guy who gets himself to the line, takes his time, and makes the free throws. Complete professional. And the Knicks miss again. And so it’s Golden State winning this one. They played the villain tonight. And they played it well. Yes, they did. And you know, you have two choices. You can either succumb to the hostility in this arena or you can feed off of it and use it as motivation. They did the latter. All right, let’s go courtside to Ally Leforce with our player of the game. Ally, it’s all yours. Thanks so much, Stephan. A big time victory tonight. What aspect of this win pleases you the most? Uh, it was a full team effort. Obviously, you look sassy, but the little things I’m talking about that we did to win the game tonight are huge. And that’s when it’s winning time, we showed up, man. That uh that means a lot. It’s got to feel good to see it come together. Thanks so much. All right, Ally. Good stuff there. Thanks for that. And that’ll wrap it up, folks. For Alli Leforce, Grant Hill, and Dorisburg, this is Brian Anderson. Thank you for watching tonight’s game. And now, time for our player of the game, Stephen Curry. Heat. Heat.
